High Shipping and Custom Charges

I used to buy from Kpoptown quite often for about 4 years with no issues and honestly was a lot cheaper than most other sites. The shipping was a lot cheaper than most sites until recently. My most recent order for 2 albums shipping cost me around £27, since having removed other shipping options to 'express' deliveries only. I then later got a customs charge of £21. Honestly nearly £50 just to get the albums to arrive is ridiculous when the albums on their own only cost around £25. It's not worth it.

I'm pretty impressed

2 weeks ago I ordered an album and a lightstick from them.After reading the reviews, I thought that I lost a huge amount of money, and I won't get my order After a week they shipped my product, and on that day DHL send me a message with the Tracking number. After 4 days DHL delivered my package, which was a bit damaged, but I was happy when I saw everything wrapped in a lot of bubble wrap, and that the products wasn't damaged. I'm pretty impressed, and I think I might order from them again.

I tried to cancel my order which customer service responded saying they could not.

The photo card I bought was creased with a few marks on it. I have contacted customer service but no one has responded.

I don’t understand why they can answer one thing but not another.

WHAT EVEN IS THIS

So back in late May I had ordered a light stick and an exclusive light stick deco set that could be preordered from their site at the time. The deco set was supposed to be out by June 26th. Recently, I went to check my order details and once I clicked on the deco set it literally said THAT THE PRODUCT IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE!! like what even is this???? i also sent them an email regarding when my products will be shipped out and why the deco set was suddenly missing but they only responded to the shipping question and completely ignored my question about the deco set.. now i don't know whether to ask for a refund or just patiently wait it out...

fyi this is my first time with kpop town and i suggest that whoever is considering buying from this shop DON'T :)

edit: my order will come in about two days from today but i have my doubts that the deco set is actually going to be inside..

Bad Service & A Scam

I preorder a light stick last month and I have not received no updates from Kpoptown at all! They quickly took my money! I’ve been trying to contact with them for weeks and no response! They have awful customer service! I am never ever buying from these scammers again!

Getting the same version of a random album order

I bought 3 Albums (as a random order if you buy 3 you’ll get 3 version) but I ended up getting 3 albums OF THE SAME VERSION it kind of seemed like they put little care into what I ordered unfortunately(it’s not like they look identical the 2 other version are blue and I got 3 black ones) and when I emailed them regarding the issue respectfully they completely ignored my email I don’t think i’ll ever buy from them again I had little misfortune with them before but I’m done with them after this

Buy from somewhere else

Asked them to mark it as a gift as customs is expensive in my country, they didn’t now I’m having to pay an extra £24 in customs love that :)

Not bad

First time buying from KPOPTOWN because of the cheaper prices plus the DHL shipping option was not outrageous either. My order was shipped in 2 business days and DHL sent an email with the tracking by the next business day.

Honestly, I was a little skeptical of buying from them because of the bad reviews but decided to give them a chance, which I do not regret now since I got my package earlier than the expected delivery date.

Ghosted.

Like many others have experienced, kpoptown has HORRIBLE customer service which surprises me as I believed them to be pretty reputable. I’ve shopped with them a couple of times and was fine despite their expensive pricing. However, after preordering an album they sent everything else I ordered EXCEPT THE ALBUM. I emailed them and they responded promptly admitting to fault of accidentally not packing the item and offering a refund of $35 CAD, then again saying $31... first, where did the difference come from and how did they come up with this number ? Second, I want my album, so they said I could re-order, however it’d cost me $52. That’s a large difference from what they even offered.... After inquiring again, they’ve ghosted me, without a refund. I’m still missing my album.

It’s a shame for them to stoop so low, other companies would amend by re-sending missing pieces immediately, I don’t understand the problem especially since they admitted they’re wrong.

Poor custom services, never again!

Ordered from them multiples times with my friends. 3 out of 4 times the album's or Dvd packages came broken or damaged. Custom services is very poor. Tried to contact them takes ages to reply, after all their argument was that they couldn't refund me or sent me a new album since the "shipping costs" will be too high. They gave me a 6$ coupon on my next purchase for 3 damaged items... Damage is way bigger than this, never buy again. STAY AWAY!

Not replying to emails:/

Hi!! I had been a loyal customer for kpop town for a while now, I had been purchasing their albums since 2018 and Ive had no trouble at all! They would as well reply to their emails asap. I had ordered an album with a poster this year and only my poster came. So fast forward now about a month+ later, I have emailed them 3-4 times about my album and they have not replied. I can’t even get a refund.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM.
They are not as good as they were in 2010.
They took a month to ship because I "put the wrong address" according to them but only said so after I had to contact them about it.
Then they seriously shipped me the wrong product (that was not even available on their website as a single product only as a set) and then decided to ignore me until I put a claim on Paypal about it.

i still not received my money back from them while I ordered the items in February.
BAD BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Avoid at all costs. Most of the sellers on Ebay are much more friendly and have better customer service than them.

My first time order and .....

My first time buying from here and it was a bad idea. I ordered 3 albums from them. 2 of the albums were told to be sold out later after the payment (while before it states "available" in the website). I agree to just buy 1 album but later turn out they cannot deliver it. The service was extremely slow every time I replied after their mails but not until several days later I got the reply. Then they cancelled the order by their own, and I think they also block my account (!?). It was the worst service I've had.

I recently ordered the nachimbong off of kpoptown and i had a great experience!! To be honest, I looked up reviews of them after i had already placed my order and they scared me. There were reviews saying their packages never came, they didnt respond, etc. I thought the money I had paid would be lost. But i kept my trust in them, and I experienced the total opposite!! I ordered my lightstick and the customer service was extremely nice. And the DO respond. When I selected the wrong payment option, they let me change it and still let it go through. And they kept in touch with me, telling me when my order was confirmed, my packaged was shipped, etc. One of the reasons i was scared was because I selected small packet, the cheapest shipping with no tracking and if my package got lost, there was no way i would know. But my package came right on time (a day before, actually) on their website, small packet takes 2-4 weeks but mine came in 2!! It came in a box (to protect the lightstick box) and it was wrapped in bubble wrap (with the batteries!!) It was official with the jyp little sticker on it!!

So, if you're like me, looking for reviews, don't let the bad reviews scare you!! Kpoptown is an amazing shop. Thank you so much kpoptown!!♡♡

Terrible customer service

items listed as in stock when ordered but one week later they email to say items not in stock and that they can swap to something i already have, now wont respond my emails and no idea when i'll get my package, would give 0 stars if i could

Cancel order without any reason, no reply, no refund after 2 months

I ordered an eyeshadow palette and paid it immediately. But then they cancelled my order without any reason and they said that I will get the refund in 5-7 business days. I sent them lots of e-mails but didn't get any reply. I still didn't get the refund after 2 months. This is the first time that I ordered something from this page. I'm very DISAPPTOINTED!!!! -.-

terrible customer service

i used to like this shop because they ship ok before but after few orders they are getting worse and worse. customer service is terrible! they only choose which email they will answer. they always out of stock but never update their site. they will keep you wait and wait and wait. one time they run out of something and ask me if i want to refund or what. i just choose refund and they ship my other order but it took ages before they refund. they ignored my messages. they replied to me and gave my refund only when i said ‘should i ask for paypal’s help’. seriously the customer service is terrible! i even give them idea on what to sell. most of the time they didnt even know what item is on preorder and i had to send the photos and links and all. i already bought lots of things from them but still they dont appreciate that i was a loyal customer. they still treat me really bad. there are lots ok kpop shop better than them. they really dont know how to handle customer. seriously terrible!
