Knowio is a smart site-security platform built by Inniovate, a UK-based technology company, for gates, compounds, and remote sites that traditional alarm systems don't cover well. At its core is a smart padlock paired with a BLE Contact Sensor, giving a world-first capability: knowing not just whether a gate is locked, but whether it's actually closed — and raising a breach alert the moment those two states disagree. Sites connect one of two ways. Off-grid locations use the solar-powered, cellular AccessIQ Gateway, which listens to nearby padlocks and sensors with no mains power or cabling required. Sites with mains power and a network connection can instead run ION, which does everything the Gateway does plus adds inputs and outputs for wired keypads, gate automation, and integration with existing hardware. Alongside access control, Knowio treats CCTV arm/disarm as a first-class capability, integrating directly with Hikvision, Dahua, Ajax, Davantis, Ganz and other major camera and control-room systems, so operators can arm or disarm surveillance in step with site activity. Everything is managed through a mobile App for day-to-day use and a web Portal built for control-room teams overseeing many sites at once, with bulk actions, reporting and analytics.
