Great service and store

I was hesitant to order something as had seen a some bad reviews, but am really satisfied with the communication and speed of the order. Product is great.

I asked a question and received prompt reply, and after ordering on a Friday evening my package was dispatched Monday and arrived safely on Tuesday. Sad I don’t live near a store so that I could shop in person!

Great experience

I ordered 12 balls of sandnes garn alpaca and they arrived all the same dye lot. I'm very impressed! Would definitely recommend if you're having trouble finding something from other UK stockists.

My only gripe is that they only offered next day shipping, but it was only 50p more that what I've paid for other UK wool shops (and it did arrive the next day) so I'm not particularly bothered by that. Maybe keep in mind if that would bother you.

Excellent shopping experience

Excellent shopping experience! I have ordered and received the most beautiful cashmere wool to knit with. Company were quick to dispatch as well. I am unsure why there are negative reviews as my experience has been great!

I spent over $200 on an online order

I spent over $200 on an online order, only for it to not be shipped for 10 days. Had to follow up on it 3 times. My order was then cancelled, blaming the courier, but miraculously the yarn I bought was suddenly available again (I purchased the last of it) on the website. Very poor service, will never order again.

So I noticed the owner has shut down…

So I noticed the owner has shut down her google store location for reviews. No worries, I still have my review:

TLDR: open your packages as soon as you receive them, preferably video record them too, to check that you received a correct order.

2 stars to acknowledge that I've ordered from this yarn shop many times in the past with no issues, except for 2 times - both times I was sent 2 skeins short of my order. I placed an order last year that went so horribly wrong, I need to let other people know because yarn isn't cheap.

I would email to ask for a refund but I don't have confidence that I will receive a reply.

1. 17 November 2024 I placed my order for 9 skeins of Rauma Fivel in shade 7 (Poppy Blue), dyelot 6
2. 21 December 2024 I email the shop because I hadn’t received a shipping notification and I was worried my order might have been missed
3. 22 November Simona replies saying “Your order will be shipped today as we were waiting for Rauma delivery so all of the skeins come from the same dyelot.” That's fine, it's very thoughtful, although I wish this had been communicated.
4. Early December: I receive my order and it’s 2 skeins short. I figured that I’ll sort it after Christmas because of the holidays.
5. 27 December 2024 I email Simona to let her know my order was 2 skeins short (quoting my order number)
6. 28th December 2024 I received a reply from Simona apologising for the mistake and asking for the dyelot number
7. 28th December 2024 I replied with dyelot number and attached an image to confirm (see image below with order sheet from shop)
8. 30 December I resent my email to follow up because I received no reply
9. 11 January 2025 I go on knitt.co.uk to use the live chat follow up on my missing skeins because I received no reply to my second follow up email. I receive confirmation that the missing skeins have been sent.
10. End of January: received 2 skeins of the wrong colour. In the photo below with the 2 skeins, the skein on top is the 2 skeins of the incorrect colour I was sent. The skein below is shade 7, Poppy Blue

I won’t be patroning this business in the foreseeable future because:
1. I cannot trust that I’ll receive a correct order
2. I cannot rely on good communication from the shop
3. I cannot rely on getting a response to my communication

Very disappointing online buying…

Very disappointing online buying experience. I chose to order from them as I saw the pictures on their website of their shop in London which looked beautiful and stocks the good brands of knitting supplies. However there was a missing item when my order arrived. I emailed them but no response. Tried phoning but just get cut off after a few rings. Eventually communicated with them via an online “chat”. Was informed they should have told me it would be arrive separately. However they weren’t shipping anything that week (bit odd for a company with an online store?) so it would be the next week. They then sent a tracking number but this didn’t work, turned out it wasn’t scanned into the system. I did eventually received the item and they did refund the cost of this item and my postage. A very long drawn out saga for a small item.
