I joined Klout Academy with the intention of growing my creative business and gaining clarity on my direction.

While the program does provide a large amount of information and structure, my experience didn’t fully align with how I operate or what I was looking to build. The approach felt heavily geared toward positioning me strictly as a videographer, whereas my work is more centered around creating transformational experiences using music, media, and storytelling.

I also found the volume of information overwhelming at times, with less emphasis on integration or personalization based on individual direction.

I raised concerns early on and expressed that the program didn’t feel aligned for me. Despite that, billing continued for the full term, which was a difficult experience given the lack of fit. I would have appreciated more flexibility or support in addressing that misalignment at the time.

That said, I can see how the program may be valuable for those who are clear on wanting to pursue video production in a more traditional sense.

For me, this experience reinforced the importance of aligning with programs and mentors who understand not just your skillset, but your vision.

The team at KLOUT made the experience well worth the investment.
Other reviews mention that it's a waste of money but I'm confident those people wanted a silver bullet to make money in what was framed from the start as coaching, strategy, and consulting.

I started in KLOUT as a new business owner and had similar thoughts thinking this would fast-track sales. Honestly, it didn't fast track sales because I wasn't in a position (operationally/financially) to fast track and enhance what wasn't a good product yet.

Through many personal battles, moving internationally multiple times, and changing niche's 3 times, the team was there to support my business.

There were many days/weeks where I felt unmotivated and reaching a point of giving up on myself, Dunja supported me through these difficult mental (and in turn low-operational performace) times to continue. Weekly meetings structured such that I could express frustrations in a space where it's understood and tangible management processes and action items can be followed to solve problems... well they certainly lightened the low.

You'll end up noticing that Dunja cares more about you and your business than you do.

Ethan and I didn't interact so often but the fruits of his expertise and time was certainly seen. Especially through his research efforts in the AI workshops, which has saved COUNTLESS days worth of time monthly - the value of joining KLOUT pays for itself in this workshop.

I come from a software engineering background and have found his research time has been beneficial in more than just the filmmaking business but also in my bespoke software platform.
I'm now confident in building integrations with the AI systems he finds valuable.

Michael lights a fire in you. Every time you think you're on top of things he's sharing something new and inspiring.
Telling stories that drive you WANT to help yourself and the people around, through solving other people's problems.
He sees the business from a practical and abstract perspective. It has to operate financially, with time, labour, and staff - but it also has to solve a problem and tell a story.

The other reviews saying it's a waste of money are not fair or reasonable.
One could say you only get out what you put in but I think the truth is:

It comes in time saved in finding the best technologies to use in an ever-changing digital world.

After almost a year of personal struggles, KLOUT were there to continue poking me to chase dreams and show the value of continuing.

It's multi-industry too. Following the product development, business framing, and sales methodologies can help in filmmaking but also software and digital marketing.

I've landed a $50,000 contract because of the processes and motivation the team shared.

This contract is also leading to a bigger $100,000 contract once completed.

This wouldn't have happened if I had given up on my business.

KLOUT is a team, not a product.

Money has been tight. I was laid off from my job and wanted to turn my freelance production company into a full time job. I tried it on my own for close to a year, but nothing was consistently working. I was approached by several video agency coaches, but there was something about Klout that stood out to me.

I’m about 2 months into the program, and have learned to successfully pitch clients with confidence. I’m closing deals that I wouldn’t have otherwise had. My personal coach keeps me accountable, and guides me through my blind spots with wisdom, but also kindness.

All of these aspects have been wonderful, but two things really make the program worth every penny and more. We have multiple meetings each week that we can join and share our struggles and wins with others in the program. Our community legitimately cares for each other, and we openly share tips and support so we all grow.

Secondly is the AI training. They have set me up with several AI tools that make me look so much bigger and better than I really am. They teach how to prompt the AI models to get your desired outcome, how to scrape competitor socials and automate mock ups based on other’s success, and how to access several aspects of deep research. I have secured 2 jobs by incorporating data from AI agents in my pitches.

As with any learning course, you get back what you invest into it. Klout is no different. It’s a significant financial and time commitment, but I’ve already seen my investment pay off halfway through the program. I’m striving to learn and grow my business as much as possible with expert guidance. I would confidently purchase this program again.

After 3–4 months, I have clarity, momentum, and a real vision for where my agency is going. I couldn’t be more grateful for the growth KLOUT has helped me unlock.

-too expensive for what it is
-did not double my investment, cost me 15k cad and a year later I’m still in the negative,.
-program felt dated and not up to par with current market, seemed to always be playing catch up.
-it did help organize my socials and had some good insight but that may have been worth 1500$ cad at most
-when stuff they said to do didn’t work they would try to push something new, in the end they would always try to get me to spend more money.
-People were very nice overall
-Micheal is a salesmen and can easily sell you the product if you get on a call with him so be weary
-they are an expensive business coach with alot of overhead making the cost over inflated

I don’t think this company is legitimate at all. There’s virtually no engagement on the social channels but what gave the company, not to be confused with the actual Klout that sold in 2018 for 200 million, away is that these people tried to contact me 6 times on a Sunday, no response from me. Yikes! I’m sure they are using ManyChat or some automated scam, but they’re not professional and seem to misrepresent earnings. This does not seem legit based on unpolished outreach alone.

KLOUT completely rearranged my business and put me on the right track. I was always able to do the work and do it well, but my problem as a creative was finding clients and making sales.
KLOUT examined my web presence and social media, as well as my pricing and target clientele. They had me make several changes in each category that revolutionised my approach to business.
I am now getting my business in front of far more prospects and having significantly more sales-oriented conversations, translating to a massive increase in high-value projects.

Klout was amazing. Throughout the process they were there the entire time supporting me and checking in, making sure I was on target even after switching my niche. Unfortunately, I didn't close any clients but that was on my end, I was very distracted on my full time job and couldnt put my efforts fully into Klout. They pushed me for the success guarenetee even afterwards but I had to move on. Shout out to Ethan and Dunja. They are very sweet talented and intelligent people. If you put in 100% of the effort you will succeed above and beyond 100%.

Unlike other coaching programs I have been on they have consistently been present throughout their process. Actively tracking my progress and not waiting on me to ask questions, but helping guide me away from the pitfalls and chasms I would have walked into without their experience. Highly recommend Michael and his team if you are a videographer, dop director and want to grow a production agency/company so you can have the income you have always wanted.

Klout is a game changer for filmmakers: I started lost and uncertain, stuck in a cycle of feast and famine, waiting for opportunities to come. This amazing Team gave me the tools, knowledge, and all the support I needed to take back control of my life.
