We had our ground floor windows and a patio door replaced by Kingfisher Windows of Drighlington and we where so pleased with the standard of work and quality of the windows we felt we wanted to leave a brilliant review for them.
Kingfisher have from the start to the finish been very professional and helpful. The surveyor, Simon was very good and sorted out the quote which we thought was a very good price. Then Peter called soon after for final measurement and once again was very helpful. On the day of fitting Danny and Josh arrived on time and soon began to cover the carpets and prepare to remove and fit the windows and patio door. There was a slight hiccup with the patio but they very quickly sorted it out. The standard of work and helpful attitude of the fitters was extremely good. They soon had them fitted and finished of to a very high standard. Their products are made to a very high standard and offer excellent value for money.
On the strength of there quality of work and product we have placed a further order for all the upstairs windows.
A big thankyou to you all.

I phoned to request a quote for an Orangery, that evening I called back as they did not call me, I was informed the sales lady had gone home, and she would definitely ring me to arrange a quote, a week later nothing, good job I did not have to wait in for the someone not to come to my house, second double glazing company to let us down yet more of the usual shabby commercial incompetence. Well, provide the number you ca!led from and I will amend my review and apologise. However, I am delighted that you refuse to provide me with a quote,I am sure that another local company will be happy to take advantage of your mealy mouthed response.
I am not sure who is dealing with this at Kingfisher, please let this go now you starting to look like even more of a shambles with this recent reply.

I was informed it would take 4-6 weeks from payment, which was made on 8/11/19. Measurements/pictures were previously provided.
6 weeks from 8/11/19 is 20/12/19 but it wasn’t completed until 14/1/20 which is around 3.5 weeks over. So the total time is 9.5 weeks. This is well over 6 weeks. They had fitted the window on 6/1/20 but hadn’t got the correct outside sealant so this was completed on 14/1/20. I was also informed it would be completed before Christmas and it wasn’t. After speaking to them they even said it’s only 2.5 days over. Clearly it isn’t!!

After we had our problem sorted out by Deborah one of the directors for Kingfisher we had no problems with the delivery and quality of the patio doors. The quality is top class the installation was excellent. WHY O WHY could this not have happened at first kingfisher please learn from this. and you will get 5 star reviews every time
Ordered a set of UPVC windows and doors for the house in April after doing some research and reading generally good things about Kingfisher. They had someone come over, measure up the windows, go through colour and style options etc and give us a quote which was a little higher than others, but we were prepared to pay extra for the high quality we'd read about. Lead time was around 6 weeks which worked great for us, and a date was set straight away for installation.
Installation day comes and the installers (excellent manners and professionalism; really top guys) straight away said that for some reason the patio doors hadn't come in. Not their fault so couldn't be upset with them, and they got on with the job. The guys put floor covering down, cleaned up after working in one area, re-installed alarm door sensors... top stuff over the two-day install. Noticed a couple of things at the end though: one of the windows was a different style to the others, and in a bedroom they'd put in frosted glass and not clear glass. Not contractors fault but at the end of the job they called the Installation Manager and I was told that they'd have to reorder the frame and glass, but would do everything that needed to be done a couple of weeks later when things came in.
Just over a month later (and after the date I was provisionally given for installation of the rest of the order), I tried calling the installation team a couple of times and sent some emails to try and find out when it would be installed. Finally heard back from them and had to wait a little longer than I'd hoped but it would all be sorted now. Different installation team arrived this time, but again right on time. Introduced themselves and said they were here to install a new window frame and set of doors. Awesome, and the frosted glass switching out and clear glass putting in? Disappointingly, was told that there was no clear glass for them to pick up when they got things for this address.
Installation went well once again, and the installers were kind enough to point out to me a very small crack in one of the panes of glass on a door. I would have probably never noticed it so credit to them for letting me know. Said it would need a new pane of glass ordering, but that they'd be able to do that back at the shop. These things can happen with big glass units so that was fine. It then took me around about a week of trying to contact the installation team through email and phone calls (ringing out). Finally got a call back and was told that for an unknown reason, the clear glass didn't get ordered for that second installation. But that he'd call back in around a week once the new pieces of glass had come in and were ready to install. Happy to say that I was called and the rest of the installation went without a hitch. Interestingly the process sped up hugely at the end, and on the day my install was completed, I'd been emailed my invoice and asked to give them a 5-star review before the installers had actually got to my property! Raised my eyebrow at how soon they sent that through a little at that considering the length of time it had taken for other parts of the order.
So, to sump up:
Quality of product - excellent
Sales team - very good initial service providing me with a quote.
Installation team - Excellent, particularly the first team that visit
Installation process - much longer than it should have been
The big question: Would I recommend them again? That's a tough one. The windows are great and so probably yes, but I'd talk about my experience to a someone considering them, as for the price and considering other reviews I was expecting a much smoother process for installation, and not expecting it needing three separate visits over around 8 weeks.
We were expecting to only be able to afford UPVC doors, as we didn't want to spend a fortune on getting new ones. Kingfisher were recommended to us by family and they did not disappoint. We managed to get 2 composite doors for the same price that we had been quoted 2 UPVC elsewhere. The doors can be designed easily online and look just the same now they have been made. We are very pleased with our new doors and the service we have received. Kingfisher were not pushy and have told us on several occasions to contact them straight away with any issues with the doors at all. We would definitely recommend to others!
Recommended by a friend when I wanted a new front door. Definitely good value and after 12 months no problems apart from the letterbox. This was replaced a week after reporting the problem. I would have no hesitation recommending the company
