One star is too much for this company. As a parent, I have watched an entire staff of excellent teachers leave within just a few months. The staff was great (then) but the company with non stop billing issues, the lack of providing equipment for the teachers and the so called protocols is literally pathetic. With my 2 children being there for many years, I’ve seen it all. They failed to maintain their buildings, they failed to provide much needed equipment to properly care for children and they failed to support their teachers. When arriving to drop my kids off, I was informed the director resigned, a few days later one of my child’s teacher, then a few weeks later 4 of the teachers I was very familiar with. When your staff is leaving in groups, after many years of being there, you know something is going on. Thankfully I took my children out and relocated to the center all of those teachers are now. Stay Away from Kindercare. (Medford NJ)

After working at KinderCare as a lead teacher, I wanted to share my experience at this company. Unfortunately, after working in the daycare industry for four years, I’ve never had a worse experience at a workplace than at KinderCare. My previous daycare center was taken over by KinderCare Learning Companies and since they started managing the business the workplace environment became unmanageable. Children were consistently being moved from rooms without their parents being informed, employees were denied bathroom breaks, teachers were left out of ratio due to understaffing, proper equipment such as high chairs were not provided to staff and instead were moved between rooms, etc. After communicating my concerns with management, I finally made the decision to leave since nothing was being done to address these issues. After giving my managers notice of my end date, I was called into a meeting with three of my managers, one of which was the director of the center. They began by asking me what they could do to get me to stay which I responded to by expressing that I did not want to work for the company anymore since I do not agree with how they treated their employees or the children within their care. I politely and articulately communicated my concerns even though I was intimidated by the situation. I was then told that I would not be given a recommendation to go to another childcare facility after working at the company for four years despite the parents loving me and working well with all of the children. I was laughed at by my managers and felt belittled and demeaned by their treatment of me. I was told that I was not cut out for the childcare industry since I expressed I did not want to work in their building anymore. This experience was one of the worst in my life and I wanted to express my concerns so others can be aware of my experience and can from their own opinions. I hope some good can come of this information for someone else.

My kids have been there for 8 years and everytime my daughter gives a hard time with drop off, they are so helpful and kind and know what to do. They are also always sending updates and they treat my twins as their own. Will be sad when they leave. I can always call with anything and the staff always help. Gary and Katie always goes above an beyond for them !!

I’m sharing our experience with KinderCare (Tropicana Summerlin, Las Vegas) to warn other families who rely on the Nevada DWSS Child Care Subsidy Program.

At the time of enrollment, I was given a tuition breakdown that showed no co-payment requirement. For several months, I received no invoices, only to be later retroactively billed over $1,100 in supposed late fees. I was told by Center Director McGwire Paz that the co-pays had been “deducted behind the scenes,” which directly contradicts DWSS policy, which requires providers to bill parents separately and clearly each month.

When I questioned the charges, I was pressured to resolve it over the phone without any written explanation. No one, including District Leader Abby Stone could provide documentation or explain how the amounts were calculated. A 10% sibling discount promised at enrollment was never applied, which may have resulted in overbilling to the state.

Billing statements were changed retroactively with no timestamps or prior notice, making it impossible to track what was paid or owed. Despite my good-faith attempts to resolve the issue, I was threatened with disenrollment if I did not pay the full disputed amount, even while my complaint was under review.

Worse, I escalated this to KinderCare leadership, the Regional VP Eric Larsen, claimed that I had been “invoiced monthly” , yet could not produce a single actual invoice when I asked.

I’ve since reported the matter to the appropriate state agencies.

While I understand billing errors can occur, KinderCare’s conduct, including misrepresentation of state policy, lack of documentation, and threats tied to unresolved billing, is unacceptable, especially where public funds and working families are involved.

I hope this review helps other parents make informed decisions.

I am extremely dissatisfied with the lack of professionalism and customer service I have experienced with KinderCare. Back in May 2024, I was charged $690 for services I had opted out of after disenrolling one of my daughters from summer services. Despite being assured multiple times by Megan Backoski that my refund was being processed, I am still waiting to receive the full amount as of January 2025.

After months of waiting, repeated emails, and follow-ups, I was finally contacted in September 2024 to verify my home address so a refund check could be issued. Instead of the $690 I was owed, I received a check for $105. I immediately contacted Megan, who admitted that this was a mistake and promised to look into it. She even assured me she would call me back by the end of the week with answers, but I never received that call or even a courtesy follow-up.

This has been a frustrating and exhausting process. KinderCare’s inability to resolve this issue for over eight months is completely unacceptable. Parents deserve better, and I would strongly urge others to think twice before trusting KinderCare with their business.

I hope this review helps others avoid the frustration and disappointment I have endured.

My ten month old son HAS SEVERAL BRUISES, SCRATCHES AND DEEP CUTS FROM. Kindercare. I took son to daycare at Kindercare 3269 E German, Gilbert Az, 85297. I left two bottles with the instructions to feed him the bottles at 11 am and 2 pm. I received a call from Randa, assistant director at 4:06pm. She told me that my son was crying and very upset because he was hungry. She asked me why I had not brought him more than one bottle. I told her I brought 2 bottles and explained what time he should have been given them. I heard my son crying and it was very disturbing. It sounded like he was in great distress. The phone then hung up. I called back. The assistant director told me that they found his bottle. I let her know that I would be there at in a few minutes.
I arrived at the facility and had to wait longer than usual for Frances, one of my sons teachers to give him to me. I was not allowed in the classroom so I waited. She then handed him to me without any mention of scratches, cuts, and contusions that were on his arms, shoulders neck and ears. After I realized that he was hurt I called his daycare. The assistant director answered and told me that she did not know anything about this. The assistant then paused and said she was just informed of an incident report. I told her that I sent pictures to the Kindercare app and told her they were very bad. She said she was going home and would address it tomorrow.

The next day I went to the daycare and was told that the director Amanda would contact me when she got in. She called around 8:30 and I went back to the daycare and we spoke in her office. After seeing the pictures of my son Amanda said she did not believe that they looked like abuse. She says one of the bruises looked like a mark from sleeping and another from a seatbelt. She said he may have hurt himself or perhaps he was putting himself in harms way and a teacher grabbed him. She then told the police officer who came to investigate that she wasn’t sure if I had dropped him off with all the bruises and cuts.
My son has been having nightmares and crying more than usual. He is traumatized. I can’t imagine the amount of pain and suffering he was put through.
Please, if you know something say something. You can report anonymously to the police or the child protection authorities.

If it doesn't involve dropping your child off and handing them money, they don't care about it. Administrative tasks seem to go incomplete constantly causing billing issues and when mistakes result from this they are unresponsive and unhelpful. Resources and facilities have been falling into disrepair with no plans to repair/replace clearly a result of leadership overly pushing for a better bottom line in a business that's supposed to be about children. This is also reflected in employee's compensation, or lack thereof as well as abuse leading to a subpar pool of candidates coming in. 8 months in now on attempting to resolve a billing issue even after providing clear documents detailing the error and receiving confirmation of resolution from multiple employees at the center level.

The management and staff at South Naperville KinderCare is really committed to providing a safe, fun, and loving environment for my daughter, and we’re very thankful to the whole team. They are truly incredible!
