Prior to visiting Kigali, I contacted kigalicarrentals company for a month rental. I paid a deposit in USD from the UK and a partial payment toward the rental.
Once arrived in Kigali, there was someone at the airport waiting for me. No car was given to me. The person dropped me at my airbnb address and left with the car. He told me that the car is not ready and tomorrow they'll come to drop the car. The next day, the same person who had collected me from the airport came with a broken/damaged car where the rear passenger door could not remain closed. The person stayed by my airbnb few hours trying to fix the door and other bits and bots that needed repair. I thought this has got to be a joke. When the driver finally did something to keep the rear passenger door closed, he took me to the agency in the centre where I waited more than a couple of hours for a car to be given to me. When I was finally shown the car, in a very bad state, I told the person that it wasn't the car I was shown in the pictures when I was communicating with the agency while I was in the UK. The car they wanted to give me when I was at the agency was damaged in different places and looked nothing like the car I was told I would be given when I was in the uK. I told them that the car was not what was agreed when I had booked while in the UK. The agency explained to me that the car i was meant to get is not ready and someone was still using it. I proposed that they give me a reduced price on the car with dents a bt everywhere. They did not want to remove much from the remaining to pay so I cancelled the deal.
These people are a joke, very unprofessional, no morals, no values. I should have called the police on them. I ended up having to find another way to get a rental car.
Kigalicarrentals is a company to avoid. They are a waste of time, energy and give a bad reputation to the country and how businesses run in Kigali.
If I could give them minus 1, I would.
stay away from this company, if you can call that a company.

I had a fantastic experience with Kigali Car Rentals. The booking process was easy, the stuff were friendly, and the car was in excellent condition. Everything went smoothly, from pickup to drop-off.
Highly recommended their service!
