Recently placed 1st order and have just…

Recently placed 1st order and have just placed my 2nd today from next week's menu. The meals are perfectly proportioned and delicious! I did ask for some things to be removed/replaced and my request was accommodated and hopefully next week's will be the same (as I'm a fussy eater).

Great food, friendly team, and a real time-saver

I’ve ordered from Keto Kitchen four times now and overall it’s been a good experience. When I first ordered, I did feel a bit of buyer’s remorse as the meals are on the expensive side for the portion size. But once I tasted how delicious the food is, that feeling quickly went away. On top of that, it’s saved me around 20+ hours a week, which as someone self-employed, has been invaluable, instead of cooking, I can focus more on my business.

The portions are smaller, but they do fill the spot and you quickly get used to it, which I think is a good thing, it’s all about losing weight after all. For me, it just means I sometimes add a homemade protein muffin or a shake if I want to.

The staff have always been friendly, and on two occasions when meals were missing from my order, it was resolved quickly. The best before dates are short, but that’s because the meals are cooked fresh, everything is clear on the website so I knew this before ordering, and I just pop them straight in the freezer.

The only ongoing issue has been with the DPD driver delivering my box on its side, which ruins the presentation of the meals. I know this isn’t Keto Kitchen’s direct fault, but as DPD’s customer, it’s something they’ll need to get sorted.

One small wish would be for them to use sweeteners like allulose or stevia instead of erythritol, as that can cause a bubbly stomach which is uncomfortable.

On the whole, though, I genuinely enjoy Keto Kitchen and will keep ordering once the delivery side is fixed. I’d definitely recommend giving them a try.

Lovely healthy food

They offer really nice cakes especially for a keto food standard, the meal plan and pizza is decent as well - as good as you can get for keto food out of all that I've tried, you can taste the thoughts put into flavouring, portion sizes look a bit small but because it's keto it's surprisingly filling. Will order again

The meals are TINY and the best before date very short

The meals are TINY. I know this is a weight loss plan but the portions are microscopic. Also, my meals were delivered on Sunday 31st March and the BB date on everything is 1st April. Upon contacting customer service, I was advised to freeze the meals later in the week but some foods are not suitable for freezing like fresh cream etc. plus it’s assuming you have space in the freezer.
The labelling is poor. The pots with lemon curd and cream look identical and you have to open them to find out what is what.
Saying this, the feed is tasty but like I said before VERY SMALL PORTIONS.
Further update: on day 5 I became violently sick after eating KKL beef stir fry. I have contacted the company for a refund, received multiple lengthy emails back explaining how and why the company was established etc. The emails stopped abruptly as soon as I asked for a refund. Il will be sending the other tray of beef stir fry to Food Standards Agency for testing.

I can see that you have left two reviews in quick succession about us on here and google followed by a very unflattering review on social media, I wanted to reach out to you with a few points.

I'm sorry you found the meals to be too small, the meal plan is primarily used for weight loss/health improvements and I can confirm the portion sizes correlate to the nutritional values advised on the menu, the photographs of our food on the website are photos showing the actual portion sizes. I personally followed the plan for weight loss, I lost 7 stone over the course of a year and after the initial 2 weeks getting into ketosis, I was full and satisfied from everything consumed within the plan. We keep the calorie and carbs lower so that customers can still enjoy coffees with cream, low carb snacks or cakes without going over their daily carbohydrate limit whilst still losing weight. As we are aware, you are a fitness/ cycling enthusiast, probably with a higher calorific need than what we advise and offer, so our meals probably do not provide the calorific needs you require. Of course, we welcome feedback so will take your comments onboard regarding the portion sizes and labelling.

The meals were delivered on the 30th... not the 31st as you state. We advise storing days 1 & 2 in the fridge and days 3 onwards in the freezer, defrosting prior to consumption. I'm not really sure where else can advise this on the website, as it's currently mentioned on the meal plan description, FAQ page, on the confirmation email along with the storage & reheating instructions (something you were advised of via email, your review makes out that we just replied - just freeze it! Our response advised the best before is correct and it clearly states the meals come with a 2/3 day shelf life). If you have any suggestions as to how we'd be able to create fresh meals to last a 7 day duration without the use of any additives or preservatives, please do let us know. We follow the guidelines for the food standard agency, our meals are created and finalised on Fridays, shipped on Saturdays for delivery on Sundays, which allows 4 days since the date they are created. As much as we'd love to offer plans to be stored how customers choose, unfortunately it is impossible to create fresh meals to last the duration of 9 days without the use of extenders or preservatives which makes the food ultra processed - not something we are interested in offering.

To be quite honest, we are extremely disappointed that you decided to leave two negative reviews about us without reaching out to us first to discuss any issues you had. You initially reached out to us for a discount code, which we don't really offer but agreed to with you, so that fact that you have chosen to proceed in this manner and upload pictures of our meals onto social media in a derogatory way to mock the company, especially for someone who reached out as they wanted to work with us in partnership - very poor.

As a customer, naturally you are entitled to have your opinion and leave a review - however as you contacted us to collaborate, I would expect at the least for you to reach out to us and advise that you don't think the collaboration would work or that you are not going to proceed. If only you had shown the same degree of effort in contacting us to advise you were unhappy as you did in trying to obtain a discount code from us.

In future, I recommend that should you have an issue with a company, you contact them first to give them a chance to rectify/address any issues before leaving a review.

Tiny Rolls

First time using Keto kitchen and was really happy with the carrot cake and coconut cakes ... however the low carb bread rolls weren't rolls , they were the size of dough balls.. very small, and although the size isn't given on the website it does mention that you can use for a "bacon sandwich" ... you can't, I feel the size should be stated

Other than that was happy with my other two products

Thank you for the feedback. We created our bread rolls to accompany the soup dishes featured on the meal plan, however a lot of customers requested to purchase the bread rolls separately so we decided to offer them as a sole product.

Unfortunately it's difficult to estimate the sizes of the rolls from the pictures featured on the website, however on the product description we have noted that the bread rolls are served with soup on the meal plan and they are small rolls. We're glad to hear that you were happy with the other products you ordered from us and we apologise for any disappointment caused due to the size of bread rolls.

trust is an easy thing to loose and near impossible to recover.

had an issue with their pizzas, contacted them to no avail, left a poor review twice, neither of which were approved/posted.
I tried leaving a good review on something and that was love on the site with little to no delay, I can’t trust their site reviews, the pizzas incidentally are soggy garbage that fall apart even when cooked longer than their instructions.
I ordered the chorizo, instead I got the chicken in the chorizo box.
(at time of writing)
no help from support.
no negative reviews permitted to the site.

I loved some of their other food/meals, however the experience has left a sour and untrusting taste.

IF they contact me I will update.

Highly recommend Keto kitchen Lytham

I have been a customer with Keto Kitchen Lytham for about 6 months now. The meals are truly tasty. I find the customer service to be great and they are all very helpful, in fact they have gone above and beyond for me. This is a reducing diet but I find the portions to be more than satisfying. They happily replace one item for another if asked to do so. I have managed to lose over 6st so far. The menu changes weekly and is sufficiently different each week as to not make it repetitious. This diet has also reversed my diabetes makers.

Really wanted this company to be good…

Really wanted this company to be good but the customer service was absolutely shocking. I honestly don’t understand how a business expects to be successful treating customers in such a fowl manner. This all came about due to what should have been a simple inquiry regarding an order. Subsequently, I googled this company and it seems I am not alone in my experience. There are older reviews from individuals on other social media platforms (easily found if searched) that also claim to have had bad experiences with staff being unnecessarily rude. I probably should have checked the reviews out beforehand as where food is concerned, complete trust is needed. A ‘business’ that replies to a complaint with a complaint rather than apologising for a bad experience and trying to put things right speaks for itself. I wouldn’t recommend this company.
