Do not eat in the hotel restaurant

We have just returned from a family anniversary break at Kenwick Woods louth. September 7th 2026. So, adults and one child. We stayed in a 8 berth Lodge. On arrival the lady was lovely, housekeeping lady brilliant, maintenance chap very good. HOWEVER the Restraunt staff David and Anita not very good in fact we had booked an Anniversary meal for all the family and I (Mr Davis) said to Davis this is mine and my wife's 40th wedding anniversary, he really dident care or was bothered, the start of our terrible experience in the hotel restaurant. My advice woukd be don't book a meal here go into Louth, we spent £250 and it was the worst money we have spent. Sad as the rest of the team were BRILLIANT.

Stayed in a lodge for a one night Spa… Kenwick Park Louth

Stayed in a lodge for a one night Spa break. On arrival, we open the lodge door and it smelt of drains. On investigation we discovered the toilet had not been cleaned not even flushed. We reported this to the reception two hours later somebody came to clean it. After this we open the cutlery drawer to make a coffee to find dried food and cutlery, kitchen worktops sticky and dirty other peoples rubbish in the bottom of the waist bin. We reported this to the reception who said they would report it to management and get back to us, but we didn’t hear a thing. Breakfast next morning in hotel they ran out of hot food. We had to wait 15 minutes for more. When we handed the keys in to reception lady asked if everything had been okay we said well we had reported these issues but not heard anything else back. She just said oh fantastic. We filled the review in which-said they would contact us but one week On we haven’t heard anything. I think they are just ignoring all comments. We may have been just unlucky but one of our friends has recently stayed in a lodge and said it was dirty they got moved to another one, which was also dirty.

Awesome Club Spa

We stayed in a lodge but used the Club Spa. This awesome. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Decor, superb
Spa: Awesome, it’s the dogs watsits.

Didn’t stay in the hotel but had food and drinks in the restaurant.

The “Club” Spa is a separate building that has been Enlarged and modernised - due to a fire a few years ago.
Entering the building and seeing the pool through a gazed wall is outstanding. There is also small. The pool is about 20 M long and about 12 M wide 1.2 M deep. There is shallow warmer pool and a Jacuzzi. There is also a sort Jacuzzi outside with water drenches (?)
The “Thermal” bit inside is a amazing. There is an “ice” room, Cold shower, Tepidarium room, Steam room and Sauna. Plenty to help you relax and a nice Juniper cafe to enjoy a bite to eat - does have some Gluten Free options.

Lovely Lodge, But Disappointed by Swimming Charges & Food

We recently stayed at Kenwick Park, and while the lodge itself was absolutely perfect clean, spacious, and set in a beautiful location the experience was let down by a couple of issues.

First, the new swimming charges were disappointing. Adults pay £4, which is fair since they can use all the facilities, but children are also charged £4 despite only being allowed in the shallow pool. This doesn’t seem reasonable, especially for families with young kids who don’t get the same value.

Secondly, the food was shocking. The menu had been drastically reduced to about a quarter of what it used to be, yet the prices had tripled. The quality didn’t justify the cost, and it felt like very poor value for money.

Overall, we loved the lodge and the setting, but the added costs for swimming and the overpriced, limited food options were disappointing. Hopefully, these issues are addressed, as the potential for a perfect stay is definitely there.
