This was an ababsolutely brilliant experience

This was an absolutely brilliant experience for us. The crew were really friendly and professional. They went the extra mile to make sure we got our flight. Communications and the pre-flight information were excellent and the location at Headcorn was excellent. The pilot was very experienced and gave us a very smooth ride.
I totally recommend this company. I would go with them again anytime.

Do NOT use this company

Do NOT use this company. You pay the money and never actually get to go on any flights. Scheduled flights are cancelled at late noticed without explanation. When you try to contact them you get ignored. What a waste of money.

Awful - company gone under?

Appalling lack of communication. Have they gone under? I've emailed to reschedule 7 times since May, the last time to demand a refund. Left messages on the phone. Dreadful expensive upsetting time-wasting. 60th birthday present, destroyed the joyfulness of a balloon ride that I had planned. I have looked online and at companies house but there is nothing useful.

Do not use

We have been emailing and ringing for months no response. Their customer service is shocking. Please do not buy any tickets from them.

This was a birthday present for my 40th, now 41.5 and still no flight. Before they sold the company, the original owners come back to us with a few hours. The new owners - can’t get hold of them at all. Don’t answer messages, emails or phone calls. We have asked for a refund due to the lack of customer service and surprise surprise no response. It’s a disgrace.

No compassion or compliance

We had our hot air balloon trip booked for over 2years ( my father, my two sons and myself ) patiently waiting for the weather conditions to be ok to fly. However sadly my father passed away before we was all able to fly, I asked Kent Ballooning for a refund as per their T&C but have been ignored and no refund paid. I have written numerous complaint emails but no reply and no refund. Very very upsetting. Terrible company. Avoid at all costs.

Well worth the wait

This was an amazing experience took a waited of 2 yrs to fly due to bad weather conditions and my wife having an operation. Very easy team to talk, as a licensed drone pilot. I understood the basics of the thermals and safety procedures but was very much impressed with how this was implemented. before, during and after the flight. Yes, we'll definitely do this again.

Thanks for your review. Obviously we take safety very seriously and I'm glad that you thought that we'd got it dialled. A lot of the procedures for a drone take off are actually more involved than those for ballooning. When I got my commercial drone licence I was astounded by the amount of pre-flight planning and safety procedures! I guess I do all the same stuff for a balloon launch, but it's become second nature now. I'm glad that you enjoyed your flight and a different perspective from your drone footage. Non-refundable Vouchers with 1 Year Expiry

Our balloon flight was cancelled due to weather, and unfortunately some of our participants could only join on that one date. I am now left with a thousand pounds worth of vouchers that are non-refundable, difficult to book on Kent Ballooning's very limited and quickly changing availability, with the added time pressure of a 1 year expiry. When I reached out to customer service they just suggested that I sell the vouchers to third party. It was a mistake to buy these non-refundable vouchers in the first place.

Hi Kelvin and thank you for your review. Given that you did receive a refund, I am slightly baffled as to why you would write such a damaging and scathing review. It is really upsetting that you have chosen to do so given the facts that you chose to purchase a Voucher with us and then change your mind about taking a flight as the weather wasn't suitable on the 1 day you attempted to fly. Despite it being made abundantly clear from the outside that ballooning is weather dependant, that our Vouchers are non refundable but they are valid for 12 months, you chose to ignore ALL of these facts and then imply that you were not aware of them, which you most definitely were and even acknowledged them prior to purchasing with us! Essentially you are leaving a review of your own personal decision to purchase a Voucher with us and not a review of your actual experience with us which is of course incredibly unfair. I do hope you might reconsider your review so as to not mislead other potential passengers. Louisa Spice, Kent Ballooning

Had an amazing day with kent…

Had an amazing day with kent ballooning, everything ran smoothly with amazing views and our piolet point out things on the ground for us. everyone was so nice and friendly with champagne offered at the end of our flight. If only I wasn't driving haha
