The actual VPNUnlimited app worked fine until 9.7.1, when the predatory "upgrade" happened, the one that hid core feature behind a new paywall. They only applied this change to the early adopters th... See more

Lifetime licensing doesn't mean…
Lifetime licensing doesn't mean lifetime. Be careful.
Total bait-and-switch. Bought lifetime, but they locked torrenting behind a paywall 😡
Absolute joke of a company. I bought a "lifetime subscription" back when they promised full access, including P2P and torrenting servers.
Fast forward, and they suddenly decided to lock those servers behind a brand-new monthly fee. If you paid upfront years ago to support them, they basically just pulled the rug out from under you and turned your account into a restricted trial unless you pay up again every month.
Changing the rules and stripping features after selling a "lifetime" pass is super shady. Don't waste your money on these guys—they don't respect their own customers or contracts at all!
Bait and switch
Bait and switch! I paid for a lifetime subscription to their VPN, and now they have removed features from my plan and put them behind a paywall. How can I trust a company that will sell you a product, and then take it back with no refund. NEVER GIVE THEM MONEY
shady provider !!!
shady provider !!!
removimg features for lifetime users behind paywall - we have already payed for lifetime services!!!
dont give them anything
Rug pulled lifetime user
Rug pulled lifetime user, now demands subscription payment for the feature that was promised in the lifetime plan
Do not trust a privacy company that breaks its own word
I purchased a "lifetime" subscription to KeepSolid under clear terms of permanent access to their service. Recently, they pulled a classic bait-and-switch: they stripped away core features and servers that were part of the original agreement, locked them behind an additional paywall, and demanded more money to restore what was already paid for.
A VPN provider sells one thing above all else: trust. You are routing your entire network footprint, browsing habits, and sensitive personal traffic through their infrastructure. If a company demonstrates zero business integrity—altering terms retroactively and holding features hostage to squeeze extra cash out of existing customers—there is no rational reason to believe they will respect your privacy, your data, or their "no-logs" claims.
When a provider is willing to breach their commercial commitments to their users, expecting them to uphold strict data privacy standards behind closed doors is foolish. If they can’t be trusted to honor a straightforward subscription agreement, you cannot trust them with your data. Take your traffic elsewhere.
Do not trust KeepSolid
Do not trust KeepSolid. I bought a "lifetime" subscription to VPN Unlimited under the impression that it meant lifetime access to the product I paid for. Instead, they have completely gutted the service and locked core features behind their new "Loyalty Plus" monthly subscription.
They are holding the features I already paid for hostage unless I pay them a recurring fee. This is a blatant bait and switch tactic and a complete betrayal of their early supporters. Calling it "Loyalty Plus" is a joke and it is a penalty for being a loyal customer. I had lifetime for years and have several accounts that I paid A LOT of money for.
Avoid this company at all costs. Their word means absolutely nothing, and they will change the terms of your contract the second they want more money. Completely unethical business practices.
Keepsolid is possibly going bankrupt!
Since the moment VPN Unlimited unexpectedly decided to turn off more than dozen of its global VPN server locations within less than a week in June 2026 and mostly in Europe (but in Asian servers too) I knew and could smell there's something terribly wrong with this company from financial standpoint, as they have hit a concrete wall as they could not afford paying data centers to maintain their VPN servers, but of course there was no way to prove it.
This happened not long time after they've stopped selling Lifetime subscriptions as of December 2025.
Rest assured that Keepsolid as a company is going bankrupt and will leave the business sooner or later and. No matter how hard they try to hide or deny it.
As this recent terrible move was a clear symptom of their desperate need for money to just to survive. Forget about any improvement in service.
I'm not here to repeat the same complains that thousands or furious customers have already said it, although I'm being one of the victims of Keepsolid fraudulent act myself!
There's no doubt that taking such action of cutting off access and placing them all behind a monthly/annual paywall for fundamental and core features of a product that was once paid for permanently by millions of their users, and attempt to recharging them AGAIN to let them access the EXACT same features through a recurring payment and labeling it as "Loyalty Plus"!!! which this term alone feels like slap in the user's face, was an extremely unethical, immoral and unprofessional way a company can ever encounter with its longtime users/supporters/investors who have trusted in its quality and service stability, regardless of its legality or not , which I'm 100% sure this was a fraudulent action which is completely illegal, and a very strong case for a potential massive lawsuit, in consumer protection regulations in many countries including US.
I have never seen in my entire life that a company would go back and try to alter and change the still valid and applicable terms of an earlier service contract under which it sold its software product to millions of people worldwide. I have read the contract word by word. No where of it says that Keepsolid reserves or has the right to cut off/limit/remove/terminate partially or entirely of any features of its VPN Unlimited product from its user(s) access (other than any wrongdoing or misuse from user's side which can cause service ban of course, as with any other company). And removing features is not what they're trying to justify it by using the "UPDATING" term in the contract!!! Updating means to improve/add/make things better. NOT doing the complete opposite and assume everyone is dumb. Thats not how "Updating" defined.
You can not say we're updating our service by forcing our users to pay again for features they've already paid because we say so, cause we want to cover our financial troubles and stay a little longer in the market.
But when a company decides to make such a sudden and terrible mistake anyway, its CEO remains quite and do not release any statement or news in advanced on Keepsolid or VPN Unlimited website, despite knowing the swift backlash from its users, that means only one thing and it's about having NO MORE MONEY to afford the infrastructure, their global data centers rental cost or even to support its staff or physical offices rent payments.
And since I'm 100% from all the feedbacks I've read in the past couple weeks that majority of users will not fall for this so-called "Loyalty Plus Plan" crap and wont pay a penny to unlock this shameful and ridiculous paywall to re-access what they have already paid for once, this company will not survive and when they can not generate sustainable revenue, the result will be more and more server shutdowns until one day when you (as a user) open your VPN app and you'll see that there is not even a single server location you can connect to. And that day is not too far.
At the end I want to warn you all to be cautious and look for a strong reputable VPN company from now and NEVER EVER trust and fall for a Lifetime VPN deal again. No matter how promising and nice it sounds.
SHAME ON YOU AND YOUR CEO KEEPSOLID!!! YOU DESTROYED EVERYONES TRUST IN YOUR COMPANY!
Awful company
Awful company. Changed the terms of lifetime subscription users with no prior notice or communication. Would steer clear from them. Take your business to a company that actually respects their customers, instead of treating them like dirt on their shoe.
Loyalty Plus? more like MINUS!!!
Loyalty Plus made this product trash!
You need to buy a subscription now after paying a hefty price for lifetime service. Changing T&C in matter of years for a lifetime service is just fraud and company surely knows it!
We are being punished by a pay wall to access to services that we paid to sign up for. This is now trash!
Same as everyone else
Same as everyone else. Purchaser of a lifetime license with the features that were included as a major part of the purchasing decision. Obviously would not have spent the money if I knew lifetime was temporary.
Lifetime subscription? Apparently, only until KeepSolid decides otherwise
I am extremely disappointed with KeepSolid and the way it has chosen to treat its existing Lifetime subscribers.
I purchased a Lifetime subscription in good faith, paying upfront on the understanding that I was buying long-term access to the service and its functionality. Now, without any prior communication or warning, I discover that features previously available as part of my subscription have been moved behind an additional paywall through the new Loyalty Plus model.
Let that sink in. Customers who have already paid for lifetime access are now being told that certain features they previously enjoyed require another payment to access. This is not about charging new customers for new premium features. It is about changing the deal for existing, paying customers after the purchase has already been made.
If KeepSolid wanted to introduce a new premium tier for new customers, that would be entirely understandable. However, retroactively restricting functionality for people who have already purchased a Lifetime subscription is a completely different matter.
What makes this even more disappointing is the apparent lack of communication to affected customers. I received no advance notification explaining these changes, no meaningful consultation, and no opportunity to make an informed decision before discovering that functionality had been restricted.
KeepSolid may argue that the underlying VPN subscription remains active, but that misses the point. A lifetime subscription is purchased based on the product and functionality offered at the time of sale, not simply the ability to log in while previously available features are gradually placed behind another paywall.
I also have serious concerns about whether these changes are consistent with consumer protection legislation in Ireland and the EU. The Consumer Rights Act 2022 and EU digital content rules contain protections concerning modifications to digital services. Whether KeepSolid's approach complies with those obligations deserves proper scrutiny.
I appreciate that companies need to evolve their products and business models. However, changing the terms for future customers is one thing. Removing functionality from existing Lifetime subscriptions and asking those same customers to pay again is another.
KeepSolid needs to explain why customers who have already paid are being asked to pay again for functionality they previously had access to.
I would like to see KeepSolid reverse these changes for existing Lifetime subscribers, restore the functionality included when we purchased our subscriptions, and communicate transparently with its customers.
Until then, I cannot recommend a company that leaves its existing customers questioning whether the Lifetime subscription they paid for will continue to mean anything in the future.
A lifetime subscription should not come with an unexpected second bill for features you already believed you had purchased.
Lifetime doesn't mean lifetime
Lifetime doesn't mean lifetime. Like lots of others I accepted & paid for their Lifetime offer which has now turned out to be a lie.
They are making claims about charging for upgrades but the gist of it is that you will now be charged for what agreed to be free.
Their agreement is worthless & they can simply not be trusted.
It's a SCAMM!!! Absolutely disgusting theft!!!
Lifetime subscription now to be paid for monthly??? These people are disgusting dishonest joke, not a company. Hope they will have to pay monthly subscription soon to use toilets in their own already bought houses... Instead of providing better services with extra options, to make customers pay extra, they have just stolen what customers already paid for.
P.S. Class action is coming. I will make sure.
scammers
scammers, they changed the lifetime vpn subscription based on their EUA & expect people to pay a fee to use p2p, premium servers which were originally part of the lifetime deal.
This is the response I got from them:
Hello,
Our End User Agreement allows us to update our services, pricing, and the features included in different plans over time, and this update falls under that provision. Running and expanding this network isn't static, it takes ongoing investment: adding new server locations, upgrading existing infrastructure, maintaining security and reliability, and funding continued development, and those costs only grow over time. This change lets us keep making those improvements sustainably rather than standing still.
You can review the applicable End User Agreement here:
Section 1.3 (Updates), Section 2 (Amendments) и Section 3.1 (Fees/Pricing Plans)
If you'd like continued access to these features, you can check the Loyalty Plus upgrade offer available on your account for a discounted rate.
Disgusting company and bad product
Disgusting company. Have reversed their decision and gone back on lifetime subscription / memberships of their service. Speeds are terrible, and so is the reliability of the connection. If you want a good VPN, this is the company to NOT go with.
They don’t honour their promises
I purchased a lifetime plan several years ago under the explicit promise of full, ongoing access to all platform features. The recent decision to revoke access to core features and restrict my account to basic VPN functionality directly contradicts the terms of my original purchase.
Bait-and-switch scam! Ruined the Lifetime License.
I purchased a "Lifetime License" for VPN Unlimited a few years ago. Recently, the company unilaterally decided to breach our agreement. They heavily restricted all legacy lifetime accounts and locked core features behind a new paid tier called "Loyalty Plus."
They completely blocked modern, fast connection protocols like WireGuard and IKEv2, leaving users with no manual protocol control. Stripping away advertised features to force users into a paid upgrade is an absolute scam. Do not trust this company. They do not honor their promises or the products they sell. Avoid at all costs!
Unfortunately LifeTime subscription…
Unfortunately LifeTime subscription only means until they decide to change their mind.
If the upgrade price added **new features** I would’ve supported that, but putting features we already had behind a paywall is just deceptive.
Why would I support this company when that kind of trust has been lost?
Ridiculous Ukrainian excuse for putting…
Ridiculous Ukrainian excuse for putting half of the "lifetime" features behind a paywall. Did Adobe purchase them? "Hello, sorry to hear this. Just to clarify who this touches: it's not a change for every Lifetime customer, only for accounts that were originally purchased at a steep discount compared to our current pricing — for that group specifically, a set of advanced features now sits under our Loyalty Plus upgrade. Core VPN Unlimited access remains exactly as it was. This falls under our End User Agreement, which allows included features to be adjusted over time as we continue investing in the network. If a particular server stopped working for you, we're happy to look into it at support"
