Our week with Jonathan, Violeta, Isabella and Dylan at Aqua-Ventura, organised by KE Adventure, was the best holiday we’ve ever spent. The setting was idyllic, the accommodation lovely and the warmth of the company – both family and other guests – something to treasure.
We devoured every scrap of Violeta’s amazing food, ranging from fresh fruit platters, hot rolls, warm croissants, pastel de nata and pikelets, cold meats and cheeses, and hot dishes in the mornings, generously filled rolls for lunch, and extraordinary evening spreads with homegrown vegetables and salads, lovely meat and fish dishes and delicious puddings. Only the fabulous tapas, that went along with an impromptu wine tasting laid on by Jonathan, were so plentiful they eventually defeated us.
We spent five days walking amid spectacular coastal scenery, four of them in glorious sunshine, led by Jonathan or Isabella (sometimes accompanied by Alana the dog) and driven to and from by Jonathan and Dylan. On our free day we explored the nearby historic town of Lagos.
It was in so many ways a holiday that delivered more than was promised. We walked along perfect beaches, swam in the sea and in a neighbouring lake, went body boarding twice (taught and looked after by Jonathan and Dylan), did daily stretch or yoga classes led by Isabella and a local yoga teacher, enjoyed professional massages by Isabella, scoffed afternoon beers and ice-creams in cafes, and ate out at a couple of excellent restaurants.
If you’re thinking of visiting Portugal’s beautiful Algarve and enjoy walking, there’s no better way to do it.

KE are very professional from start to finish. I've already booked with them again.

We did a trip with KE nine years ago that did not meet our expectations. The hotel was terrible and our guide decided on the last day he needed to get home and leave us walking down the mountain at a slower pace as I badly banged my knee up. We were then told we had not been fit enough or experienced enough when we complained. (Despite doing all the Wainwrights, Summiting Kilimanjaro and Mount Elbrus!) BUT the story gets better!
Just booked a surprise trip for my Partner, been back & forth organising it for 2 weeks, paid a £500 deposit to find out we were BANNED NINE years ago. Their way to resolve the issues we had was to BAN us and to then only tell me 3 days later and after I had been on my booking and it was cancelled. Best Bit? They are still using our photos from another trip we did with them ELEVEN years ago with no consent from us. Happy to ban you but their ethics run so thinly they will still use YOUR photos to advertise THEIR product. Legal advice being sought on copyright infringement

You have a commitment to your customers yet when they complain about a service you provided your way of dealing with it is to ban them, not rectify the problem and investigate why so a called specialist leader left 2 of the party one with a knee that they damaged on the trip halfway up a mountain so he could race home as he had been unwell all week. That is your commitment? Astounding service

The booking process was smooth. But then the trip did not go as well as hoped: long transfers in a small bus; a sub-standard hotel; lunches often served in the sun, without a place to sit; obsolete trip notes; some uninteresting cycling days; some stops in places where there is nothing to do; etc.

Very well organised and faultless service.

We went on a trip to Zimbabwe and Botswana, it was an amazing two weeks where we saw so many different wild animals, vistas, camped in amazing places and travelled with lovely like minded people.
KE organised this trip and gave all the relevant information so we were fully prepared for the trip. The office are always good at advising, arranging flights and dealing with all sorts of questions.
I would go back and do this trip again if I could.

We used KE for a small group tour to Nepal and Bhutan. It was the first time we had used this company, though we have experience of several other small group tour companies.
KE were excellent in every way. Their communication and admin for the trip were perfect. Every aspect of the holiday itself went well; local guides, accommodation, transfers, flights.
Highly recommended company, we will travel with them again.

Once again KE delivered a great holiday in a spectacular location. Well organized, good and sufficient food, interesting people, experienced and personable western guide. I find their website accurate and detailed and office staff always responsive and helpful. I will use KE again for sure!

Great afternoon out paddle boarding with Amy and James. Very relaxing, lot of fun but well managed and safe. We will definitely go back.

When planning my next trip, KE Adventure is always the first place I look. The trips I have done with them have been fantastic. The office staff are very helpful. The guides have always been fantastic.
My latest trip to Namibia was amazing. The accommodation and food was excellent and I really enjoyed the itinerary and the country.
Will definitely be booking another trip soon.

This was my first hiking holiday and I couldn't have picked a better one. Our guide, Nuno, was brilliant. His experience, leadership and organisational skills were great. Being a local, his knowledge of the levadas and mountains, and the history of Madeira, was excellent. The accommodation was as expected and all hotels were clean and comfortable with good food and service.

The trip was organised extremely well from when the guide Dinesh collected myself and wife at the airport to the end when he dropped us back at the airport. The trip length was perfect and managed extremely well by Dinesh and Nima from ensuring we were all aclimatisation properly before attempting the high passes above 5000m to managing a group with different abilities and attitudes extremely well and all of us didn't suffer significantly from the altitude. Our flight was delayed by a day at Ramachap and Dinesh immediately arranged for accommodation for the evening and managed to get us on one of only a few fights that flew to Lukla the following day as many flights after ours was cancelled. The tour was extremely good as after Namcha we were on our own for the next two week's only joining the normal route on the way back for 2 days, we are so glad we chose this tour and not the normal base camp route as the normal bamp camp route is literally a queue all the way to Everest base camp. We think that KE has the trip programme perfect and wouldn't change a thing We can't praise Dinesh, Nima and our porters enough as they all made the trip very special. Dinesh was an excellent tour leader and imparted his knowledge to us about the areas we were passing through, the mountains were could see and took us to several monasteries along the way and we even got to be blessed by one on the Lamas in Thame. The pace he set was perfect when many groups who passed us stopped regularly and we didn't and we are all made the three passes and Kala Pata without many problems. He sorted out the hotel at the end of the trip when we were double booked and managed to get is into a 5 star hotel for the final evening. Nima couldn't do enough for us and was always there when we needed him and didn't seem to stop working, he interacted very well with the group. The porters, were a great bunch of lads and very friendly. Everest the hard way is a hard trek but because we had the right programme for aclimitising, an excellent guiding team and a small group we all succeeded and would definitely recommend this trip over any of the other Everest base camp treks and we will definitely take another trip with KE. We must thank Dinesh, Nima and our porters- Rabin,Parbin,Kanchan and Naresh. It's a trip we will never forget.

The description of my chosen holiday (Annapurna Sanctuary and Poon Hill Trek) was accurate on KE's website, their responses to my pre-holiday questions were fast and full of information, and the guides on our trip were full of knowledge, friendly and supportive (especially when faced with unexpected events).

First rate trip - Levada Trails of Madeira. Guide was excellent and had given great thought to the itinerary. Attention to detail was also very evident - daily lunches provided were a highlight

The 19-day New Zealand trip had a well thought out itinerary, giving a good taste of the North and South Islands. The hikes were varied and wonderful. The guides were the best. The trip was perfect in every way --except for the two part-days of rain, but even those were handled well and part of a New Zealand experience!

Absolutely wonderful. Logistics of pick up and drop offs to the airport great. Walking guide was local, incredibly knowledgeable, fun and friendly. The food was delicious and great for vegans! Every day Lassaam made sure we had a mid morning snack and a rest under the shade of a lone acacia tree. Lunch was soo excellent, prepared by a chef who managed to concoct the dishes from the veg which the camels carried. The camel leaders worked their socks off making sure our campsites were set up every night. Everything was provided for us ...matresses, sleeping bags, food, water. An absolutely wonderful experience!

KE continue to provide excellent customer service and a very high quality of travel experience in the countries where they arrange trips. We travelled on their Madagascar cycle adventure on this occasion. Wonderful.
