Staying Only for the Current Account

I’ve been a client of Komerční banka for several years. The basic current account works fine, and I've also used their travel insurance — luckily, I haven’t had to actually claim anything yet, so I can’t judge its quality.

What bothers me is the constant pushing of products and a feeling of manipulation. A few years ago, to get a 4% savings rate, I was required to invest half of my money into one of their funds. Meanwhile, another bank offered me over 5% with zero conditions. The fund they pushed was significantly underperforming compared to a global ETF, and the fees were extremely high.

Overall, I’m not satisfied. At this point, I’m only keeping the current account and nothing more.

Slow and Unreliable Service

If you're seeking to waste your money and time, this is the place for you! I applied for a small mortgage with KB even though i already have an active one with them. I've been working at the same company for 4 years with a high income going directly to KB, yet theyve been dragging out the income verification for over 3 months now. completely unacceptable!

If you want to loose money

If you want a project for an apartment and a reservation fee, this is the right place!
I already have a mortgage in KB and I want to get a small mortgage in KB and I have been working in a company for 9 years and I have a high income that goes to KB. So KB verifies my income that I have had with them for 2 months already!!! I do not recommend these slow turtles at all

An absolute no-go

For me, with 25 years of experience as an entrepreneur, this bank is the most subterranean I have ever experienced in terms of customer orientation. An absolute no-go for international customers and sometimes arrogant and at best superficial customer communication. If you have a problem, you have to solve it yourself and you constantly come up against hurdles. The business user interface is inadequate and confusing and it is also extremely expensive. After more than ten years of experience, I can only advise against this bank.

Rather unhelpful Bank

Rather unhelpful Bank, no one seems to know how their various systems work and the online system is unhelpful although responsive. In short an old fashioned bank cumbersome and awkward. Clunky.

Messy processess and overworked people.

I think there is a mess inside this bank. We have a mortgage with them, and every year they offer a single month when extra payments can be made. We make an extra payment every year, and do to so you have to physically visit the bank and sign a pile of forms. It's very clear that these are pointless hoops that they force you to jump through to discourage early payment. Whatever, I don't expect too much more from banks here. However this year we did this nonsense, and they never even took the money from the account as was agreed in the contract. It's only due to my own diligence that I caught it and raised an issue. They made me come back and do the whole thing again, and yet again they didn't take the money on time. When I poked them about it a SECOND time, they informed me that "oh actually you have to send it to our account". The employees seem very overworked, and this results in crappy sloppy work with mistakes made and things forgotten. Not a great look. Get your mess together KB.

KB is a serious bank that has quality…

KB is a serious bank that has quality support. Of course, maybe he has a reserve somewhere in the communication. As I read previous reviews, maybe it needs a joke from English. However, they have a huge advantage in secure online banking, which is of a high standard. I've had an account here for about twenty years and I'm satisfied. I can highly recommend.

AVOID THIS BANK. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE

I have never in my life imagined such a terrible bank experience. I had them for a few years due to my own lazyness of not switching. They outright refuse to help English speakers and they are absolutely incompetent. As an example it took me 9 visits in person to simply get a bank account with a card and online bank belonging to it. If you go to any other branch but the one where you opened the bank, they refuse to help you. They even lie and say "this cannot be done here" even for the most basic service. When i finally quit I asked them to pay all bills so that when i remove my last cash and leave the country i wont have any bills. They "did this" but then of course after leaving i was bombarded with pay notifications and threats of lawyers. And of course there was no IBAN or payment info on these requests, and it took me 20 emails to the heads of management and 3 hours waiting on my turn in the phone before i got the payment info to fix their mistake. Worst experience in my life

Not speaking Czech? Then we dont really care about you.

It's not really easy to get anything done with Komerční Banka when you're not a Czech speaker. My assigned account advisor was not able to assist me, which could be ok but she was neither able to find some who could :-( I would expect more in 2022 from one of the biggest banks on the market.

They don't care about regular clients

They don't care about regular clients
Even if you are a customer for many years, paying your loans on time etc, they don't care. They treat you as if you are a just-arrived-completely-new-customer...

While so many other banks stoped charging for little things, they still charge 9kc for outgoing !!domestic!! ebanking transactions!
They charge 65kc for renewing an e-card !!
They charge 100kc from the first foreign incoming request!!

Outrageous to keep these charges still on 2021...

Contacted many times, different agents, talked in person. They just give you general replies.
