This feels like a scam website

This feels like a scam website. I ordered a product, never got it, they replied once telling me I would get 10 percent off and finally, never got the product and never got a refund after repeated emails.

I would strongly advise against…

I would strongly advise against ordering from Kate Minimalist.

My order sat unshipped for nearly two weeks. When I reached out, I was told the item was “being made,” which gave the impression it was a custom or a made-to-order product. When it finally arrived, it was not even the item I ordered.

Instead of taking responsibility, they offered a small discount and then insisted I go through the hassle of returning the incorrect item to receive a refund — meaning I would have to spend my own time and money fixing their mistake.

When I declined and requested a proper resolution, they stopped responding entirely.

At that point, I had no choice but to escalate the issue through my payment provider.

This experience was frustrating, misleading, and a complete waste of time. I will not be ordering from them again and would caution others to be aware of how issues are handled if something goes wrong.

Kate-Minimalist deceptive business practices

I wanted a Le Creuset coffee press in the Marseille color. I have a tea kettle in the Marseille and wanted the coffee press to match. This color is no longer made, so I needed to find one on ebay, Etsy, etc. I found one in Marseille at Kate-Minimalist for $265. Here is what happened: What I received was Teal NOT Marseille. It even has a sticker on the bottom that says 'Teal'. They misrepresented the product. I could have purchased a Teal one on ebay for $150, $115 LESS!! OK this is the kicker. Kate-Minimalist is located in British Columbia, but the shipment came from Wilmington, Delaware!! So I'm thinking they NEVER had one in stock. It took 3 weeks for the shipment to arrive. WHY?? Because, I believe they went onto ebay, and couldn't find one in Marseille, so they ordered one in Teal and had it shipped directly to me. This is why it took 3 weeks for the shipment to arrive. So now I have mismatched colors. I could have done this on my own and saved $115. This company has deceptive business practices.

Incomplete delivery

I ordered a 24 pack of Liquid Remedy sugar free Kombucha from Kate Minimalist.
I received a tattered box of 13 individual cans; with several dented. I reached out & sent a picture of my product, stating that I was missing 11 cans. I was told “according to our shipping team, the quanity sent was a pack of 24”.
I will NEVER use this company again!!

BEWARE

Stupidity.... i should have looked at reviews.. i too.. ordered/received/item wasn't what i thought/haven't used the item/have emailed them no less than three times/IG messaged them no less that three times/called and left two messages.. no response other an we cant cancel your order..i am not trying to cancel the order, i have the order and want to send it back for refund... Terrible company.. doesn't even deserve any stars.. you had to select a star to be able to post this.. BEWARE.

I see charges on my card and I know…

I see charges on my card and I know that I didn't order anything that costs $154 from this dubious website. I am also noticing that many of these companies are overseas and they make charges to credit cards without providing a product of value. It is enraging because the banks only care if the transaction is fraudulent and they don't consider it fraudulent if the merchant intentionally misleads the customer or misrepresents their product.

Horrible service

Disappointed with Kate Minimalist Shop. They denied my cancellation request. Order placed weeks ago with no shipment, no tracking, and no proactive communication. Buyers deserve transparency and accountability. Additionally, they refused to cancel my order. I still haven't received the item.

I have been waiting for 2 months for an order.

I have been waiting for 2 months for an order I placed with this company and nothing has been sent. I just emailed them requesting a refund. After reading similar reviews, I won't expect a refund from them. I should have researched this company before ordering.

No Christmas Presents Thanks to This Company

This company had great reviews on Shop app. However, a month has past and a Christmas present for my child is still not shipped. I am not getting anywhere with the company. If the items come after Christmas, I have to explain to my child why Santa Claus delivered presents after Christmas. In the meantime, these items sold out soon after I ordered them. So I was not able to find them anywhere else. Very disappointed. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

Avoid this company!

I ordered an item on October 23 and by December 17 it had still not been shipped. This was in spite of many inquiry emails, their reassurance, a small discount for being late, and lots of patience on my part. I cannot recommend this company since they cannot deliver on their promise. This was even after the shipping label had been created. After 10 days waiting for the item to ship, several emails, and nothing happening, I canceled the order. If you are buying something you need, do not order it here. It will likely never arrive.

Ordered a gift on December 10 for…

Ordered a gift on December 10 for Christmas. Never shipped and when I asked about it they said they would do their best. A few days later my order was canceled and then they increased the price on their site, to about 1.5x what they were charging me.

I’ve been taking Turmeric Bioperine…

I’ve been taking Turmeric Bioperine Garlic Ginger from Kate Minimalist, and I’m very impressed. It’s helped with inflammation, joint comfort, and overall wellness. The product feels high-quality, natural, and effective. Delivery was fast, and the company’s customer service is excellent. Highly recommend

Fraud

Fraud! I ordered over $300 worth of products in Sep 2024 and they never delivered. They told me for 6 months that it was on back order. When I asked them for a refund, they stopped responding. I tried calling them and their number was disconnected. My credit card company said they wouldn't refund me either because it was over their 30 day claim period. It's absurd that this company still emails advertisement to me.

Any potPoor Customer Service and Slow Shippingential customer should think…

Any potential customer should think twice before ordering from Kate Minimalist. My experience has been disappointing on multiple levels. Shipping times are excessively long, and when I reached out for an update, I received an unhelpful and dismissive response from their customer service team. Rather than offering support, they simply referred me to their shipping policy.

I requested to cancel my order and receive a refund since no estimated delivery date was provided. After that, communication stopped entirely — I’ve been ignored ever since. It’s unfortunate to see this kind of service from a company that promotes itself as customer-focused. Hopefully, management takes notice and makes changes, because this experience was enough to ensure I won’t be shopping here again. Thanks Kyle (Kate Minimalist Customer Support) You have officially made this company look like garbage.

Beware of this company!

When I ordered an knee brace I did not see a clear size selection. I should have called them? Also, the first attempt at paying did not go thru so used a different method. The order comes and it is a triple XXX large. I went on line immediately and was told the size was printed on the order. I went back and looked and in very small print it was but never was I asked what size wanted. They refused to accept a return. Then a couple of weeks later I get another brace the same size and was charged for that also. They would not accept a return for that either. These braces are so large that I will unlikely ever use them. I think they were in their stock and wanted to dump them on someone. Very bad business! 1st and last with them.
