2 months in to buying a pair of Karrimor Coniston and I wish I'd have held out and bought some Merrels!
The boot looked ok, desperately needed some boots for the weather, but didn't have the cash to hand for quality I know.
These have lost all their integrity after two months of urban walking, nothing strenuous. The insole is now solid, the outer looks like I've been working in them.
Utter rubbish. Never again. Save your money for a quality brand, not this inferior stuff.
Buyer Beware
Buyer Beware
Karrimor but now Fraser Group/Sports Direct
Paid full price £14.99, as Karrimor brand always good and value for money in the past, just everything more expensive now ☹️
BUT, they arrived with a discount tag of £7.99!
Feel like I’ve been mugged, will investigate alternatives (not associated with Fraser Group/Sports Direct) going forward.
I don't like leaving bad reviews but I…
I don't like leaving bad reviews but I have never worn more uncomfortable shoes.
I recently purchased Karrimor Ortholite shoes and experienced extreme pain in my feet when wearing them so I thought maybe I just need to get used to them. I stopped wearing them for a bit and then wore them again and the pain returned. Not only have I stopped wearing them but I feel like I've been left with permanent damage on my left foot where I'm in constant pain all the time regardless of wearing comfortable shoes and using support in-soles.
Shocking products, stay away from Karrimor shoes for feet's sake!
Never again going to buy this cheap…
Never again going to buy this cheap brand (karrimor) again.. did not even last for 4 months.. paid £49.99... contacted customer services who advise they are sorry to hear and can understand the frustration but could not help.. worsed customer service i have even seen... never again going to buy this brand and advise new buyers to stay away from this brand.
Very poor quality…
Never again will I buy Karrimor hiking boots, £90 for a pair of boots that last just over a month. Didn't even use them everyday & the souls started to come away from the uppers. Choose another brand.
Not the same as they were
I have had a pair of karrimor walking boots for about 8 years. They wore well and were really comfy. I thought at the beginning of the year having recently retired I would treat myself to a couple of new pairs in the same style.
They arrived and I had quite a job to get them on, they were quite narrow. Putting one boot against the bottom pf the corresponding old boot there is more than half an inch difference in the toe box width.
Researching this Karrimor a recognised British name sold out to a Chinese company hence the cut down in width and crappy laces and cheaper uppers!
Such a shame.

No Longer Good.
Ever since Sports Direct barrow boy Mike Ashley took control of Karrimor their quality has went dramatically downhill. Time was when you could happily rely on the materials and workmanship of their shoes and boots but not any more.
Mike Ashley is purely driven by profit and that's how every company that he takes control over the quality of those products falls.
Avoid Karrimor.
Well made and fine quality footwear
Well made walking shoes, Good grip and long lasting. I use no other brand.
Love Karrimor's product and the order…
Love Karrimor's product and the order was flawless: easy, fast and precise.
Will buy again
DREADFUL
DREADFUL! Poor quality trainers all but perished after a year and even plastic lining piercing through. Awful customer service too when raised the issue.
Very efficient. Large boot sizes available
Very efficient dispatch and delivery of goods. Great to find a company that stocks large boot sizes (15 uk)!
Karrimor Dominator boots
I bought a pair of Karrimor Dominator walking boots costing £139.00 I have had these approximately 12 months now and I have noticed my feet are damp when wearing them, on inspection both boots are coming away on the top of each boot. Even though I did not wear them in the summer months, I would expect to get longer use from them. I contacted Karrimor as I love wearing these boots and generally thought there maybe a fault with them, there response was they are not under warranty and to contact the manufacturer ???
A generous 2* Karrimore WTX BOOTS
A generous 2* Karrimore WTX BOOTS
Cheap laces is never a good start but the vibram soles are great. The boots fit me well and are comfortable for rough walking however the footbeds came adrift about a week after the warrantee ended. Fixed with shoe goo. Leather uppers are starting to crack despite religious applications of Ledergris.
No more Karrimore boots for me if they can’t stand up to occasional use.
Bought a pair of sandals for about 3…
Bought a pair of sandals for about 3 months. Wrote it less than 10 times , the left sandle has an overlap of cloth with is very irritating. Complaint to (Sport Direct) the store which I buy. They ask to complain direct. Manager also rude. Very disappointed.
Parcel was marked as delivered on 16…
Parcel was marked as delivered on 16 Feb 2026 at 1712, but no parcel was found to be delivered. Please "DO NOT USE EVRI". They have a bad reputation of parcels going missing. The photo is nowhere near my front door area. Unfortunately because they used a rogue courier and not delivering the parcel but marking it as delivered I have given them 1 star should be NO STARS. UPDATE:20 Feb Karrimor has refunded accepting my arguments put forward to them. After investigating they came to the conclusion that the courier was at fault for not delivering to the correct address. The process from complaint to complete was fast and for that it's 10 stars. I will be re ordering the product soon
DOZENS OF AI GENERATED EMAILS!!!
The wife and I returned 2 pairs of Hotrock boots, both pairs let in water, what followed was shocking, lost boots, then found, and a stream of infantile AI generated emails, not helped by the 4 or 5 different customer service operatives that were involved. I am sure their approach/methods were designed to wear us down and whilst I can't prove it, the boots are back with us and look identical to when we shipped them back several weeks ago so I seriously doubt the boots were ever tested. In short I would avoid these people Karrimor/ Sports Direct/Frasers Group like the plague!
Come on, you can't need feedback already!
Come on, the stuff I ordered has only just shipped and you simultaneously send an email because want feedback on how you're doing. One star for being annoying!
Have used karrimor for years
Have used karrimor for years, ksb boots, initially superb, wore out two pairs over many years. Bought a pair of hot rock boots, rubbish, splits in sole and upper parting from base, both boots, hardly worn. I've lost faith.
Down turn in quality and sizing
Since around 2010, I have purchase at least two pair of KARRIMOR MOUNT LOW10WEATHERTITE Walking shoes each year from Sports Direct. The quality was in the early years very good, now it is more like you get what you pay for, if the price is low so, now it appears is the quality.
Dec 2025 I purchased a pair of Mount Low as normal, on arrival looked at the manufactoring info and noted info had changed from the previous purchases, including the pair I was wearing. No longer made in China now made in Indonesia, no longer Mountlow 10 weathertite but now Mountlow 00.
The fit is no longer the same either, I have always purchased size 9 and found them a comfortable fit, these are a tight fit not comfortable at all but as only used when walking the dog they will suffice. This may be an error on my part as I have never stipulated Mountlow10, I shall order another pair and see what happens. Moving the manufactoring from China may be cost cutting but not at the cost of quality, the days of the made in China tag being a sign of poor quality has in most cases gone, technology now allows good quality at cheaper and more affordable pricing. If there is no improvement the I like many others will look elsewhere.
