The furniture needs to come with a…

The furniture needs to come with a warning letter! Less then 2 years the Woodrow couch I purchased the wood is splitting! It was literally a couch that was barely used, it was more of an eye piece and my other couch was the couch to sit on! I took the couch to an expert and they said it’s a defect!Over 5k spent on the couch and seat and the wood split and this is the message from Kardiel

Material and Workmanship: The producing factory guarantee’s that your real wood furniture is free from manufacturing defects for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase.
2. Normal Wear and Tear: This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, including but not limited to finish wear, scratches, dents, moisture rings or spots and fading and color change
due to sunlight exposure.
3. Improper Use or Care: This warranty does not cover damage resulng from improper use. Do
not place furniture over direct heat sources. Do not place wood furniture in direct sunlight for extended periods. Do not place near fireplaces, direct heat or moisture sources. Moisturize the wood grain quarterly with a wood condioner/cleaner. Maintain consistent humidity levels.
4. Ply and grain spling: Wood expands in high humidity climates. Wood contracts as the
moisture is pulled from it in low humidity environments. Seasonal changes means somemes the wood is in expansion phase and somemes contracon. Over me this will cause the appearance of cracks in the surface of wood. It can cause the appearance of ply separaon or delaminaon on the edge of plywood grains. The wood responds to interior humidity levels. This is not a manufacturing defect, and reports of ply grain or surface grain cracking and separaon of veneers from the base MDF board are not warranty related topics.

The furniture needs to come with a warning letter!!! Seriously do not buy!! Regardless if it looks nice!! It is very very cheaply made!

Wood is a natural product and not defective in itself. It does not split because a manufacture created it incorrectly. Wood is a product of nature. It dries out yes. When it dries out it will crack. To keep wood furniture from drying out you will need to maintain it. Two years without any moisturizing. No oil or wood conditioner in an indoor HVAC dry environment and what you are experiencing is the result of a lack of maintenance I am afraid. Its not too late, you can always begin today. Terrible Company Stay Away

Horrible experience so far, I wish I would have listened to all the negative reviews online and purchased elsewhere. I spent almost $5,000 with this company, I was promised "priority shipping" and two weeks later nothing has been shipped and I'm getting a bunch of predictable excuses. My complaints continue to "be escalated" (probably to nowhere just to hopefully get me to back off). At one point I was sent a fake picture of furniture boxes in the warehouse that were "my furniture ready to be shipped" but I called the shipping company and they said they do not even have a pickup date for my order yet essentially proving they were lying. Terrible fraudulent experience I will be filing a claim with my credit card company if this doesn't get resolved in a couple days.

Just received my 2nd piece of…

Just received my 2nd piece of furniture from Kardiel. Love the design. The delivery was great too. Not sure what all the hullabaloo is, they were great both times.
Just a note to the owner of Kardiel, thank you for your words. I'm very pleased with my Bauhaus console. It definitely is beautiful design and great quality.

Thank you. Trustpilot is the place where customers who did not get what they want go to vent. I am the managing founder of Kardiel and I just met with the reps last week about the unequal representation on Trustpilot while we've over a thousand 5 stars on Yotpo. This is why.... when yotpo send kardiel customers a review request via email 3 weeks after they purchase and the customer is upset they will leave a review that is flagged for profanity, falsehoods or defamation. With yotpo they are concerned about legal ramifications and so the review is removed. The customers come here to vent as they feel they have no other place to go. But thats not accurate, we are here to take care of any legitimate request. Most often the issues arise when our ordering policies are not read before purchasing. We do not make exceptions. Thank you for your review here, we could use some legitimate feedback

OBSESSED

I love my Kardiel couch! It's so aesthetic looking and makes my home so cute :) It's the first thing people mention when they walk into my apartment. Their customer service was super great to deal with too. I can't wait to get another when I move into a bigger space!

10/10 would recommend

This was the most seamless delivery experience I've ever had! I ordered a large couch, there was no delay on shipping and they delivered it with white glove service. I've had some serious nightmares with furniture shipments. Also, I've now had my Kardiel couch for well over 3 years and it looks brand new!!

I love my Kardiel sofa!

I love my Kardiel sofa!! It is the exact fit I was looking for in my living room. Its also white and thought it would get really dirty, but its super easy to clean. I love the boucle fabric. Definitely will order again and already have my eye on their coffee table.

Horrible customer service - no furniture and no refund

I purchased a piece of furniture from Kardiel on Jan. 6, 2024. Delivery was set for the end of March 2024. In early March they informed me the delivery was delayed until July 2024, but they offered me a refund instead. I opted for the refund. They said it would be processed in 5-15 business days. On the 15th day I had no refund, I wrote an email and it went unanswered. Today is day 17 and I have no refund. I called them and was given the run around. In fact I was told their accounting department have no telephones but the agent said she would report my situation. I find this totally unacceptable. I have problem, someone at that company should have the business sense to take action and not foist me off just to get rid of me. Horrible customer service. I would NEVER buy anything from this company. I have no furniture and I'm out over $1300.00. Stay AWAY.

Orders placed and never received

I ordered 2 of their stools on July 9, 2023. The last update as I can track my order online is July 11. I still haven’t received the stools and it’s September. I’ve received no communication from the company with delays or order updates.

From what we can see, the ottomans arrived to us earlier than we had initially expected. We checked your order, and it appears your stools have delivered to you on September 27th. Three purchases, two problems, deleted reviews

I have purchased two sofas (stash and davenport) and a desk (protractor). The stash is fine. The desk's shelf is at an angle. It is off about 3/4". It was the first thing I bought from Kardiel and I thought they had good quality. so I assumed I somehow assembled it incorrectly. Nope. The holes are not in the correct place. The davenport sofa stinks. The bottom fabric was torn in delivery. The repair person Kardiel sent commented on the smell ( the sofa was about a mont old) and said it was in the wood and would not go away. Kardeil said to give it more time. It has not been 9 months and it still reeks. I have air fresheners and charcoal bags all around it. Kardeil said I can pay to return it and, if they think it smells they will give me a refund. But I reviewed the sofa and they deleted the review. Why would I trust them to agree that it smells? I think I will find someone to donate it to - maybe a heavy smoker.
I am looking for a new sofa for another location and I keep getting Kardiel pop-ups. There is a sofa that is perfect, but there is no way I would buy from them again. Look elsewhere for a reputable company.

Bought the "Jackie" sofa shoddy…

Bought the "Jackie" sofa shoddy workmanship You can't flip the cushions because the fabric is only on one side, the underside is a super cheap synthetic material The legs were always coming loose, so had to periodically tighten The worst part was the couch cushion springs wore out and you could feel a spring up your a$$ I tried to review all the issues on their website, and they deleted it I'll never use this company again

Hi "Organic" I dont find you in our system. Jackie does not have a spring system to feel. You cant tighten the springs. The legs have 3 bolts with lockwashers. You have a year warranty if you have an issue.

Cushions were a disaster- falling apart at the seams.
I asked for replacements and declined stating they no longer work with the manufacturer that created them. I asked for the company info so I can track down replacement covers, and they claim they are ‘unable to disclose any information with respect to any manufacturing’.
So now I have two huge sofas that I either have to trash or pay up for custom covers- and these are cheaply made knockoff couches to begin with- so no sense in investing more money in them.
Super disappointing that kardiel won’t help me problem solve.

Unfortunately, your warranty to replace the cushions did expire on 4/1/2017. If we did still work with the manufacture and could source the cushions, we certainly would allow you the option to purchase a new set. Sadly, due to the supply chain crisis, we have moved to a new supplier who would not be able to procure cushions in the same material your cushions were made. If you would like for us to help find some local upholstery specialists in your area, we are more than happy to assist!

A nightmare trying to work with this company

A nightmare trying to work with this company. Ordered a coffee table September 2022, paid in FULL.

Was told in December, 2022 it was delayed until May, 2023. I complained they were still holding my payment in full, yet they could care less. I bit the bullet and waited, only to be told this week delivery is now delayed until JULY, 2023.

I have cancelled and demanded my money back, which they are taking their sweet time doing so. They will not refund the credit card "as it has been too long." Tell me about it!

Nice stuff, but made in Vietnam and they clearly cannot deliver on their promise.

Unprofessional and unreliable

Dealing with them feels like dealing with a scam. Buy elsewhere. I ordered and paid for 3 items on November 19. I was told it would take up to 8 business days approximately. It’s been twice that time and nothing has been delivered. I was sent a link and had a confirmed delivery day and time window. Nothing happened because they changed te delivery for a different day. I made arrangements, again, to receive the items. Nothing happened. At that point they said they would call to schedule because, according to them, I had no delivery appointment. It’s been four business day since that and they just say they’ll get back to me in 24 hours, which never happens. Now they also refuse to refund me. Not worth the headache.

Yes we did experience delays during covid. I can imagine that felt uncomfortable. Our delivery times are clearly posted on the website and are currently 1-2 weeks west coast and 3-4 east.

I bought a Egg chair in 2013

I bought a Egg chair in 2013. Now it shows wrinkles where I rest my head. I contacted them before and was told to iron it. I did but didn't work. I contacted Kardiel again about the wrinkles on my egg chair. Now they suggesting to take it a professional upholstery shop. That's way, way to expensive. A piece of furniture should less for a lifetime not break down after 9 years

Yes 2013 was a long time ago. Fabric wrinkles over time. Things wear out as they are used. Its unfortunate that upholstery and foam do not last forever. The good news is your chair has a solid wood frame on it and you can have it recovered as its useful life has got to be just about up by now. Its been 11 years.

Horrible company to do business with

Horrible company to do business with. The company changed the delivery date of my sofa numerous times without any notification. The delivery stretched from 3 months to seven months without any communication from kardiel. I would have been ok with the extended timeframe if it had been communicated. I cancelled the order, which Kardiel acknowledged, but it has been 2 months and still no refund!!!!! Are they dishonest or incompetent?

I believe this has been resolved, and as discussed, we attempted to refund you via check, which you did not want to cash, then there was a chargeback on the card, which caused a delay in our ability to refund you. We hope you now understand that these circumstances made the refund process difficult for us, and a normal transaction takes 5-7 business days.

Company from hell

I ordered a egg chair for $1300 and it took 4 months to arrive, wobbling. I asked for a refund and didnt hear back. So I opened a claim with Paypal. kardiel claimed they would not process a refund until the claim was closed. I called Paypal and they said the claim cannot be closed by me, and therefore will remain for an extended period atleast 4 months. Kardiel claims they cannot process refund until paypal issue is resolved. By the way, the product that I recieved, I immediately returned to them. So they have my money and the product, and reply so late. I am very dissatisfied and I pray no one has to deal with what I had to go through.

Do not buy from Kardiel !!!!!

I purchased sofa in august 2021, it took 4 months to deliver , first attempt failed because shipping company refused to bring it up to my apartment which was in the second floor and they charged $350 for this delivery , they always claimed to be white glove service , but my sofa was delivered damaged

I reached out to them several times and try to leave review on their website (of course they were all deleted )

They did not offer any compensation so far , they also said in case of returning original package must be used (unfortunately shippers who delivered my sofa had broken the package ) I was told to send back this sofa and waiting for the new one to be delivered with new shipping cost that I have to pay , or stuck with this damage one !?!?!!!

Bad service ever , poor quality product

Beward: Legs not attached to Kardiel Kidney Bean Sofa

I bought the Kardiel Kidney Bean Sofa. It was delivered yesterday, without the legs attached.

When I called Kardiel to ask whether the legs should have been attached, they said no, but they didn't offer to send someone over to do this. I would expect to have to attach the legs if the furniture came from Ikea or Target, but with a high-end, expensive sofa like this, I expected a complete couch.

There were no instructions attached -- I contacted Kardiel and they "apologized" for the oversight in not sending instructions, and emailed that to me. I now need to hire a handyman to put the sofa together.

The couch itself is beautiful (or at least I hope it will be once the legs are attached) but I am extremely disappointed and unhappy about this end experience.

Unfortunately, we have to ship the sofa and ottoman with the legs off to protect from damage, but we do believe there should be an easier method of attachment.

Actually our current respond time is 4 hours. How do you have "almost" no responses. Doesnt it seem logical that you either respond on your do not. Also, we have been in business for 14 years. We know what we are doing. All items are insured when they leave our warehouse and are inspected prior. We even give you 2 days to find damage from the date you received the item before our shipping insurance expires. I am but in reality it does not get much better than that I am afraid.
