I rented with June Homes for two years — one year in Boston and another year in NYC. Overall, it was a great experience. The apartments were clean, well-maintained, and fully furnished, which made moving really easy. The process of finding and booking a room was straightforward, and communication with the team was always quick and helpful.
What I liked most was the flexibility — I didn’t have to worry about long-term leases or complicated setup. Everything from utilities to furniture was already included, so I could just focus on living and working in the city.
Living in both Boston and NYC with June Homes gave me a smooth transition, and I’d definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a convenient and reliable rental option.

I recently moved into a June Homes apartment in NYC and the move-in process itself was very easy and smooth. In the first days, I noticed some issues in the shared spaces of the apartment, however, once I reached out to June Homes, they responded quickly and arranged for everything to be fixed. They are fast and consistent in their communication, they always reply promptly and follow up until the problem is solved.
What I also really appreciate is how flexible it is to find a place in NYC with June Homes. You can search based on specific criteria, like whether you want your own bathroom or a shared one, a washer in the unit, or even the length of stay. In my case, I was looking for an apartment with a washing machine, a private bathroom, and a one-year lease, and I was able to find exactly that very quickly through June Homes, without having to deal with all the complicated paperwork of a traditional rental.
While the apartment wasn’t perfect at the beginning, it now is, and I do feel reassured knowing that the team takes care of things quickly and makes an effort to improve the living experience.

The apartment is excellent and ideally located, right next to JFK/UMass and close to the center of Boston. It matched the photos perfectly, which was very reassuring. I am really enjoying my time in Boston so far, and the street is wonderfully quiet. In addition, having an app is a great advantage, the interface is very convenient for receiving messages from Junes, reminders for taking out the trash, and accessing all the information needed for the apartment. It is truly practical.

The house I live in is really beautiful and well maintained. It’s modern and even the furniture is well coordinated with the house style. Also the staff is helpful and understandable in any case.

I wish I could leave negative stars and I wish to god I could upload pictures with this review. The place is crawling with various types of bugs, and I kid you not, as I’m typing this review I just smashed a rather large one under my foot while sitting in the common room. The balcony and my room were both filthy when I moved in, balcony: a gigantic grocery bag of thousands of already smoked cigs and their ashes, just sitting on the balcony, as well as dozens of cigs strewn across the balcony that didn’t make it into the bag, along with a broken fan, broken jumper cables, I could literally keep going with random shit sitting out there. My room has a layer of grime everywhere especially in the bathroom(was met with a giant spider in my tub on my first trip to check out the bathroom) the amount of hair under my bed could make a short wig. There are LITERAL mushrooms growing out of a huge patch of mold and fungus coming from the wall under the sink, which coincidentally shares a wall with the AC unit so I’m probably getting blasted with spores. I know I sound dramatic but if anyone wants pictures I have about a hundred already lol. Stay away from these slumlords. Oh yeah and the tub faucet has been leaking for 6 days continuously and they still haven’t sent someone out and I’m probably getting charged for the water usage. Insane.

I liked how it’s a self check in, that it’s furnished, that the utilities stay on through them and is just deducted off the deposit at the end and that there’s literally tons and tons of stuff within walking distance or even by metro bus.

I stayed with June Homes for a couple months and honestly it was a really good experience. The place was spacious, clean, and had everything I needed. They also have cleaning services and a crew that actually helps out with little problems, which made things super easy. The app was also simple to use, no stress at all. I’d definitely recommend it to a friend.

The cleaning staff and also kept the communal areas very tidy. I would recommend June to anyone looking for a place to stay!

I enjoyed living with June homes. There were some logistic issues I would have liked to see changed like being able to interact with room mates before you got there without sharing private information but overall I was put with decent people. The move in and out process was easy and whenever I had a problem the people were quick to respond

To anyone considering renting with June Home, I urge you to read this review and save yourself the immense stress and financial loss I have endured.
My tenancy at their West Belden (Logan Square) property was a nightmare from start to finish. After three months of living there, I moved out on July 31st. It is now September 1st, and they are still illegally withholding my entire security deposit based on a list of completely invented charges.
The accusations are not only false but are frankly absurd. They have charged me for:
· A broken television that was in perfect condition when I left. I never even used it during my stay, as it lacked a basic antenna or decoder to function.
· "Missing trash garbage" – a charge so vague and ridiculous it speaks for itself.
· Ceiling stains from "improper stove use" that were either pre-existing or are the result of the tenants who have lived there for the entire month after I vacated.
This is not an isolated incident. I have spoken with other former tenants from the same property who moved out around the same time, and none of us have received our deposits back. This is clearly a deliberate company-wide strategy to defraud renters.
Furthermore, the property itself was poorly maintained. Within days of moving in, we reported a washing machine that didn't clean and a dryer that didn't dry. Instead of maintaining their own appliances, they attempted to charge us for the repairs of their ancient, faulty machines.
I am now pursuing legal action against June Home. Their practices are predatory, unethical, and I believe, entirely fraudulent.
Please, learn from my devastating mistake. Do not rent from June Home. Protect your money and your peace of mind—go anywhere else.

June homes is awful. They are a scam, they will find ways to up charge and steal your money. Do not do business with them

June homes was a very convenient way find housing in Boston. The apartment was regularly cleaned and the flexibility with leasing was incredibly helpful.

Disaster. Was forced to pick different location less than 2 weeks before the lease start date because the existing tenant "may vacate the unit on time". Even though the listing mentioned "high-speed" Internet, the average upload and download speed were 30Mbps/15Mbps (often too slow for videoconference), and the WiFi complete dropped multiple times a day, making work extremely difficult. The dishwasher broke multiple times. We were nearly penalized for having extra trash next to the trash can after some cleaning, but I successfully disputed this. Also, they warned us that "a few weeks ago" they noticed that our fridge wasn't clean enough (it was fine except for one spill), and that if we didn't clean it within 24-48 hours that we would be charged for the cleaning efforts - why not tell us when the issue occurred? My bed was missing supports and needed repair after it collapsed in the night, there were stains and water damage on the floor, the ceiling in the bathroom looked like it would fall down, water came in the balcony door when it rained, and there were pistachio shells on the floor when I moved in. Also, I twice returned home to my toilet seat up - I don't do that. Throughout the duration of my lease, I got calls from seemingly random numbers relating to my apartment - if a maintenance worker was coming, etc. This practice was disruptive and unnecessary as we got email reminders before any scheduled visits as well. The metal parts of floor (a surprising amount of the floor) were absolutely covered in rust, which is not reasonably cleanable by renters and covers feet/socks in rust. If you aren't extremely careful when closing the freezer door, the ice dispenser was activated, sending ice everywhere. The air conditioning was so loud that when it turned on in the night it woke me up. There were other minor issues as well.
