I bought this last year, but only just getting around to reviewing. This is a lovely bike that has given me back some freedom after an injury. Fabulous customer service too - when I had a slight issue with my bike, the owner came out personally from Derbyshire and fixed it for me, and adjusted it all to my height - unreal !

After researching numerous E-bikes in order to replace my wife’s current E-bike which is a Mercedes championship Edition I settled on the Compact Plus from Juicy bike. The bike arrived promptly and was very simple to put together.
The one I chose and purchased was the Ice blue one and it is stunning.
Having assembled the bike I was eager to road test it prior to my wife using it.
My back ground is that I am an experienced club cyclist and own an assortment of non electric bikes, I have ridden my wife’s Mercedes E- bike on numerous occasions over the last 18 months it has 750w 120Nm.

However the Juicy Compact plus is head and shoulders a much better bike all around, build, weight, handling, features and use ability. Both myself and my wife having ridden both bikes feel the Juicy Compact Plus is an amazing bike to ride and own.
I am so tempted to order one for my self to use for local errands etc. It is such a beautiful looking bike.

My partner and I have now had our twovJuicy Bike Compact Plus since February 2018.
They are heavy, but no heavier than all other folders with mudguards and suspension, and the off road ability tyres which is why we chose the bikes. We like to trundle along disused railway tracks.
Folding bikes seem heavy because all the weight is condensed to little more than a large suitcase, and if you don't strap the frame with something, they can be very ungainly. If you get it right, I've found it's possible to "trail" mine using the saddle as a handle with the free running front wheel taking the weight, but I wouldn't attempt trying to either do this to get to a station, or indeed, carry it.

I have and am struggling still with the Acera gear change having a bit of a mind of it's own, in spite of adjustment by three different cycle mechanics. I wish the seat stem had a suspension function with the seat tilt for the battery insertion.

We've had no failures of anything except when brand new, one bike's motor sensor failed on our first holiday.

Service was great. Always friendly and the sensor was changed when the shop was operating in New Mills.
Alex arranged free swap of the unbranded gear change out of warranty. I think my bike was a prototype as it's slightly different to my partner's one, and although it helped, I appreciated the concern, though he'd forget I couldn't leave the bike as it was a long trek from Manchester to Ashbourne!
I have since bought two of the Neomouv small panniers which fit my old Claude Butler carrier as well, and the phone holder is handy if you don't use a case.

Sadly there is a reoccurring intermittent fault on a bike I have purchased via a retailer who are supplied by juicy bikes and juicy bikes will not help the retailer so in turn I have been left with a £2k electric bike that just doesn’t work intermittently. The first bike purchased I had the fault and they tested it and didn’t believe me, I had to send the bike to them being without it for weeks. They sent it back to me saying there was nothing wrong, so I videoed it. They then exchanged it for a new one and unfortunately the same fault has happened. £2k wasted on a bike that can’t be relied upon to cycle to work. They will no doubt reply saying they’ve done tests and cannot find anything (as they did the first time and then I provided video evidence), but that does not help my situation and they cannot explain to me why my motor cuts out and I’m left manually cycling a heavy bike without electric assistance. All I have wanted is an exchange for a different bike, I don’t even want a refund. Really poor and would suggest you avoid. Now having to face going to small claims court to get a fully working bike.

I have had my juicy compact pro for over a year now and it's amazing! I never thought I would go so far and so often. I am never off it. Makes it fun to cycle instead of hard work. I like the fact I can work really hard when I want and on days I have no energy I can let the bike take the strain!
Whilst camping it's a lovely way to get around and see the sights and do a bit of shopping. Hills are no trouble now nor is the wind!!

I bought a Classic - Dutch Style Electric Bicycle, and it is not working anymore, in less the an year of daily use.
An the damage is eletrical so it is verry expencive to repair. Beware

Ordered a compact juicy e-bike on 22/7/2021 on the website. Paid for the delivery. Received confirmation of the order. Still no word re expected delivery. Called this morning and spoke to a guy called Dave. He said the issue was that it is a Northern Ireland address. This is the first I was alerted to a problem. He said it was likely to cost more than £200 additional. There was nothing on the website noting issues with delivery within the UK. Dave then said that he has to make a profit.
Received refund and went online - Eco Bike Co offered the same product with a free phone accessory and delivery to NI for £65.

Folding Electric Bike - Compact Click.
I’d been looking for an electric bike for over 6 months and did a lot of research. I increased my budget as most cheaper bikes didn’t meet the standards required. I also changed to a folding bike as able to transport it easier than trying to get it on a bike rack but still wanted a step through style bike.
I’ve only had my bike 3 days and I’ve not been off it. I haven’t used a bike for years and knew I’d need the assistants of electric due to the fact I live in a very hilly area and not as young or as fit as I use to be. The riding position is comfortable, but the seat and handle bar are very easy to adjust. The seat is gel and comfy also which was important. Am still not great at the gear changing but easy to flip up and down by the leaver or button. But the electric bit is amazing. I live on a steep hill and I only ever see people pushing their bikes up. I was a little nervous at first going out, I had a quick look at the manual but it’s so simple to operate. There’s 3 levels of assistance I turned on the first level and I wizzed up the hill in no time it was great. Switching to electric to no electric is easy fast and simple. It’s a very attractive bike especially for a folding bike and the colour ice is lovely. I’ve had a go at folding it which in time am sure I’ll get faster but only 3 clicks and it’s done. It’s a little heavier than non electric bike but I’ve managed to lift it and I have little upper body strength. I know I wouldn’t be using a bike as much if it wasn’t electric, comfortable or easy to transport.
I am planning on cycling to work which is local and go on a regular bike ride with my friend, she has a lot of bridle paths and lakes local so driving to her house in the car will be easy with a folding bike. Hopefully my teenage son will have a ride out with me too but I think he’s a little embarrassed of his mum!!
It took awhile to arrive but that has been due to the Coronavirus outbreak, high levels of bike sales and limited production I’d think. However Juicy informed me it would arrive at the end of June and kept me up to date. When they rang me to arrange delivery it came early the following day which I didn’t expect I was really impressed.
You really won’t be disappointed in this bike, worth spending that little extra. It’s given me a boost to get out there and cycle everywhere. Thanks Juicy Bikes!!

Can’t seem to get any response from these guys. The bikes I’m interested in that on the website just say arriving soon and have done for weeks. I’ve asked a number of times via email if they have a date for arrival and I just don’t get a reply. Your customer service is appalling. If this is what it’s like pre-sales then goodness knows what it must be like after sale. Don’t hide behind COVID-19. If you’re a business that wants to be successful you need to respond to your customers enquiries.

After your reply I will add that I contacted you via your website so I can only assume the email address on there is correct. you still haven't addressed when your ebikes might be available (other than soon). Good luck to all those who have ordered one from the website without trying it, but personally I would not want to buy one online without being able to test ride it somewhere first, to avoid the hassle of returning it. But as you haven't responded to tell me if or where I might be able to do that, I won't continue with considering your product offer.

We have had very little to do with this firm because, in the 9 (?) years since we bought a couple of step-through bikes from them nothing has gone wrong! The bikes look as good as new, the ride is as comfortable as ever, and, for a couple of 80+ year old cyclists, the ebike grin is as wide as ever. The batteries are a little tired and I expect we'll be back in touch with this helpful firm fairly shortly.

I dont usually write reviews however I found Juicy Bikes that good - I had to! I've been researching commuting e-bikes for a while now and wanted a good looking one that didn't cost the earth - I found juicy on instagram. First of all the bike looks good, its a VERY good price and the reviews on cycling websites seemed excellent so I went ahead. I bought this bike for commuting as I'm unable to take the tube for obvious reasons and its about a 10 mile round trip so wanted something electric assisted too. I ordered this bike on Monday 1st June and it arrived on the 3rd June which is an amazing turn around for starters - the bike arrived in excellent condition and the only thing missing from the set up kit was a 14mm Allen key which luckily I had in my tool box anyway. My bike is now set up and in use after ordering it on Monday and I must say its exceeded my expectations in looks, usability (e-bike features are super easy to use on the handle bar control panel) and value for money. I must also add that the user guides and videos for setting it up are some of the best and easiest to follow that I've seen. I'm really looking forward to using this bike over the coming months and would highly recommend for anyone looking for a hybrid e-bike that doesn't cost thousands - the only tiny down side is that it's heavier than expected but that's very minor and wont impact my enjoyment! Thanks for making this bike purchase such a breeze!

I placed an order with Juicy Bike for a new e-bike for my wife. The order was accepted and I waited a week before chasing delivery. When I got to speak with someone I was told that in fact they didn't have the appropriate batteries to fulfil my order and I could wait, or cancel. I decided to cancel and at this point I was obviously disappointed having lost a week but Juicy Bike has at least tried to help. I was refunded my deposit and told my finance would be cancelled. I waited a week and the finance still hadn't been cancelled so I called and chased it. Juicy Bike advised me it had been done. I then waited another few days and checked with the finance company (V12) who advised me that the retailer (Juicy Bike) still hadn't processed the transaction. They advised me to wait 14 days and then they would take it in hand and deal with it directly with the retailer. I have waited the 14 days and Juicy Bike still haven't processed the cancellation of the finance so V12 have now had to step in. I'm sure that the products are good but if the basic administration and customer support behind this isn't able to process a simple cancellation you have to wonder what and support is going to be like long term. I don't like leaving negative feedback but my experience has been a poor one. I'm still left with a finance agreement in my name that is currently live, I still don't have my e-bike and until the agreement is cancelled, I cannot order from elsewhere ..... meanwhile, the sunny days tick away. Come on Juicy Bike ... sort your admin out!

I should add - Juicy Bike have been good in coming back to me post review as you will see below. It's a genuine mistake on their part and a knock on effect of Covid-19. I don't doubt that had I eventually got a bike from Juicy it would have been every bit as good as other reviews suggest.

Just collected our 3rd Juicy Bike, already have a Poco and Sport Click hybrid and wanted something affordable in an MTB style E bike. 27 gears, front suspension, hydro-disc brakes and powerful battery with 6 power assist modes. Tried it at theAshbourne shop and was mega impressed, tried it at home in hills and am really pleased with how it handles and how smooth and powerful it is.

Ordered it on-line last night, called in at lunchtime today to pay the deposit and the bike was nearly ready for collection, put in the car after 30 minutes wait- very happy with the attention from both the owners and the technicians, really knowledgable, friendly and professional team. A pleasure to business with all round highly recommend the product and service.

I started to look for a Ebike visiting a number of suppliers to my surprise at most I was unable to even test the product I was expected to spend what I considered a lot of money. I also found they appeared to be more interested in selling me the expensive model rather than what would be best for me. On visiting Juicy at New Mills I met Sarah who was so helpfull and in no way pushy. I was offered a test ride of any of the models in the shop and soon made my decision. The Bike was ready for collection when they said and have got to say as a 64 age man with a very poorly knee I find the bike fantastic. I have had 2 questions and within hours they are back to you with the answers. I feel like I have been treated very well and would have no problem with these lovely people.I purchased the Classic.

Great advice, no hard sell. Feel it's a company I can trust and who will look after me and my bike. :-)

What can I say. Juicy Bikes are a first class business who are a pleasure to deal with. Fortunately, I was able to switch my original Juicy Sports bike to a new prototype bike that was fitted with the new RST mono suspension front fork, torque sensor and the new rear hub motor that features on their latest bike the Juicy Roller. I am delighted, the bike is exceeding all my expectations, easily coping with the hills of the Derbyshire Peak District and delivers an outstanding ride. In less than 3 weeks I have ridden over 180 miles, using the bike to go shopping rather than the car. Hills and head winds are simply no longer an issue. As a unfit 65 year old I can't wait to get onto my Juicy Bike it is fantastic. My only draw back realistically I should have gone for a step through frame as I sometimes struggle to get my leg over ( the cross bar !). If your in the market for a quality e bike at a realistic cost give Juicy Bikes a ring, you will not be disappointed.
