Great customer service! I was a dummy and used the wrong credit card to book passes, but I emailed the refund department about it and within a few hours I received a response informing me of a refund.... See more

Easy to use, but got an error message a couple of times when I tried to select my payment. Otherwise, a good experience, especially since this is the first time I have

Sometimes q confuse with the booking for number of pax. Once entered and redo, the number of pax keeps multiplying.

Not a fan of the extra secret charges that only pop up afterwards. Also a bit worried that I am now waiting on a piece of post to be able to exchange it for a ticket once I'm in Japan. The normal shinkansen tickets just send a QR code which is a lot easier and hassle free.

Easy to navigate, however when I contacted to discuss a further issue regarding the ticket, the advice received was very suspicious for scam activity. To modify a ticket order, the recommendation is to purchase an entire new pass, then apply for refund. The “ultimate Japan guide” that costs extra money is a link to a pdf download that you have a limited time to access, not an actual book. Ultimately, although the site is easy to navigate, I’m not yet convinced this isn’t in fact a scam. It is not clear from the site that this is a third party seller (that looks very similar to Japan Rail) rather than the actual Japan Rail site.

Easy to use and saves quite a bit of money in the long run while giving you a sense of security that you'll get on the train that fits your itinerary the most!

It was relatively easy to request on line however, my credit card company did instill security measures for fraud which required a phone call to them especially since this was an international site.

JRailPass is user friendly! If you get to the end of the purchase process and decide to purchase a different pass, you can go all the way back to step one and all of the information you entered is saved. You don’t have to re-enter. Also, the site advises if you have enough time between the day you order your pass and the day you arrive to receive at home. It gives you the option of delivery to your hotel. It’s a pretty flawless site.

It was very easy with one exception. the site didn't recognize when fields were pre-filled and I noticed our dialing code would switch from US to Canada (we have the same code)
