Refill problem quickly resolved

I had a problem with refills for the fragrance paintbrush. Customer Service replied promptly with solutions and this ultimately resulted in me being sent a new box of refills which have solved my problem. No complaints here, nothing but praise 👏👏👏👏

Great customer service

I placed an order for a diffuser which included a mystery gift but I forgot to type mystery when I checked out. I emailed Jo Loves when I realised my mistake and they replied that they’d send it to me anyway. Such great customer service.

Ordered direct from Jo Loves a number…

Ordered direct from Jo Loves a number of products. One being two hand and body washes. The picture shows two items, however only one arrives. Only if you read deeper it’s clear it’s one. Yet all other items show just one item in images.
Ordered Jo by Jo Loves from Sephora.
In all honesty smells great on spray but for me genuinely doesn’t last a hour.
Did also give me a dry skin neck rash and itch.
I emailed Jo loves regarding the hand and body wash, sympathetic but not interested. Did offer I could return, but items I bought were gifts. They said they would pass on feedback regarding images. It hasn’t changed though.
I didn’t follow up with Sephora, I’m sure they would accept an open used return.

I won’t return to Jo Loves I’m afraid, chapter over.

No care for quality of products! Avoid this company.

Had a couple of issues with Jo Loves and poor quality items.

The customer service whilst responsive isn’t at all what you’d expect from a so called ‘luxury brand’

I’ve had issues with a Christmas candle not burning properly, and they referred me to the retailer I bought it from for help.

Cult beauty have been no help whatsoever and just said nothing they can do!

So wasted £90 on a candle I can’t even enjoy properly.

Shocking service and as this isn’t the first issue I’ve had I will never shop with Jo Loves again.

While we completely understand how frustrating this is, we regret that we were unable to offer a full replacement on this occasion, as it was purchased through a third party.

For the best performance, we do recommend allowing the candle to burn long enough on its initial use for the entire surface of the wax to melt evenly. This helps prevent tunnelling and ensures a more consistent burn in future uses.

Didn't receive order

Didn't receive order. JoLoves didn't ship the order for over a week. I went to check the status and it said "unfulfilled". I still haven't received it as of this review. (9 days later)

I contacted customer service and they said "sorry we are really busy". They said they would ship it that day and I'd receive a tracking number. I never received a tracking number.

Poor quality bottles and poor response to a genuine issue.

I was given as a gift some shower gel. When I went to use it, the pump didn't work. Then trying to get the pump to work meant we lost quite a bit of the product as we had to wash it off the pump/tube every time we withdrew it from the bottle otherwise it made it hard to try and turn the pump/tap. The gel was is to viscous to get back into the bottle without making a mess everywhere.

In the end we gave up trying to get it to work and reached out to Jo Loves for a replacement shower gel. Because the shower gel was a gift all they said they would do is send a us a replacement pump/tap unless I could give them proof of purchase.

Then I was asked to take a photo and send it, clearly this showed an authentic Jo Loves product. Then I was asked if I could give them the name of the person who gave it to us, I was genuinely unable to provide the name of the person who gifted the bottle to me (apparently they would be able to look up if they bought it). Despite the photo, and the reason why I couldn't name the person who gave us the gel, they still refused to send a replacement. Even as a gift recipient I should still be entitled to a remedy for a manufacturing fault that led to me loosing some of the product (gel). All this took numerous emails to and fro over a number of days! Now I haven't heard anything from them and still have a bottle of shower gel I can't use!

Jo Loves places its self as a premium product but the bottles are seemingly of poor quality.

A poor experience. I am dissatisfied with the level of customer service. Poor quality bottles considering the price of the product and its position in the market.

I just want to add that I have just had a similar issue with an Ortigia product. They haven't asked for proof of purchase, their email was courteous and helpful, they even offered me a discount on further products. WOW what a difference!

I purchased a Jo Loves perfume…

I purchased a Jo Loves perfume paintbrush from a department store. Beautiful fragrance. My problem started when I tried to remove the empty cartridge and replace with the 2nd cartridge. The original cartridge was stuck in the paintbrush. I reached out to Jo Loves as the department store I purchased from had ceased trading. Jo Loves refused to help me and naively suggested that this experience wouldn’t prevent me from purchasing from Jo Loves again. Well it will I won’t be purchasing your products again. Not impressed with this lack of understanding.

They haven’t responded to me in the last month, so disappointing as I was so looking forward to Receiving this.
As someone who works in customer service, I would never not respond to someone.

I wanted to purchase a 2ml tester for…

Response to reply from seller - I don't have an issue with the price of the perfume, it's your ridiculously high unjustified postal/packing charge. And no I won't ever be buying anything in future.

I wanted to purchase a 2ml tester for £10 but on getting to checkout/payment the least expensive postage cost was £5.95! Needless to say I won't be purchasing.

The computer is in charge at Jo Loves

It seems from other reviews and discussions with friends that my problems with the website and blinkered customer service advisers are not a one off. I tried to order items to take advantage of a FREE shower gel offer but found so many items to be out of stock (this doesn’t show at the product display stage, it only shows when checking out) that I was going backwards and forwards to the check-out page until finally, I had items totalling £100+ in my basket and the FREE shower gel was automatically added. However, due to a further item not being in stock and me not realising, the order checked out below £100 and I was charged £37 for the FREE shower gel I hadn’t even added. I emailed and asked that a further item be added to the order to take it over the threshold or that I wanted the order cancelling as I wasn’t going to pay £37 for a FREE item. Instead of doing the customer friendly thing and sending the additional item with a £37 price adjustment, they said they couldn’t change the order so cancelled it. The computer is running the show and it’s not very friendly. This is not what I expect from a premium brand. Two stars rather than one as the refund arrived promptly.
Update: This review was picked up by Jo Loves. Georgia in customer services dealt with my issue quickly, professionally and to my complete satisfaction.

The issue occurred because your basket total dropped below the £100 threshold when one of the items, our Pink Vetiver Body Lotion, became out of stock at checkout. Unfortunately, the system didn't show this as out of stock on the product page because you ordered the last one, and sometimes our stock system isn’t quick enough to update in real time. We understand how confusing and frustrating this must have been.

As a result, the free gift was automatically converted to a chargeable item. This is certainly not the seamless experience we want to offer, and we’re very sorry. We're actively working on improving how stock levels are displayed and how promotional thresholds are handled to avoid situations like this.

We also regret that we had to cancel your order. While we were aware that you wanted to add additional items to bring the total back over £100, unfortunately this couldn’t be done once the order was placed. We’re speaking with our Customer Service team to ensure this is a learning moment and handled better in the future.

However, I was advised that I could purchase fragrance from Cult Beauty and they were delivering to Northern Ireland - jumped straight onto the website only to find that as well as Space NK, Cult Beauty do not have the fragrance I am looking for! Yet further disappointment!

Great service to match a great brand

I absolutely love this brand so my opinion was very high anyway but after contacting the customer advice email about an unusual problem I experienced with one of the bottles of cologne that I had purchased, Elaine in the customer care team resolved my query within minutes to my complete satisfaction by confirming that the item would be replaced and I am delighted! You don't get great service in very many places nowadays so (to be honest) I didn't know what resolution to expect, but I'm really pleased I took the time to enquire. Jo Loves used to be amazing and my go…

Jo Loves used to be amazing and my go to for gifts and treats for my home. Sadly the customer service has really declined. I’ve been purchasing JL for years either direct from JL or more recently via SpaceNK too. I recently placed an order for my sister in law’s 30th birthday. I struggled to log into my account and in the end had to set up a new one. Online it says that their customer services live chat and emails are available Monday - Saturday 9.30-5.30 but could I get a response on Saturday? I was trying to double check that the gift would arrive in time if I placed my order and also query my birthday gift from being part of the JL scent artist club - I sadly didn’t receive an email this year. So I placed the order and paid £7.95 for next day delivery so that it would be dispatched on Monday and arrive in time for her birthday on Tuesday. Nothing arrived! So upsetting and embarrassing!! I contacted customer services and they just said that it would arrive on the Wednesday. They eventually kindly refunded my next day delivery charge “as a gesture of goodwill”. I never received the service I paid for!! They also said that I could have the birthday gift next time I placed an order - sadly I won’t be placing another order - why would I after such a dreadful experience? Also, £5 for a box? When you’re paying a premium for a luxury product surely this should be included - it certainly used to be. Such a shame JL has gone so downhill!!
