Worst Customer Service Experience Ever
I had to cancel my flight and requested the partial refund of the airport fees. To this date 75 days later I did not got the refund. I had to call dozens of time and fill in aprox 10 claims and nothing. DO NOT TRAVEL WITH THIS SHIT OF AIRFLIGHT COMPANY.
Worst Customer Service Experience Ever
Normally, I do not write reviews, but I really have to warn you about this airline. My 1-hour flight got cancelled 4 hours before departure and they offered me to fly the next day where the flight of 1-hour turned into a 7-hour flight. They said it was a reasonable alternative and the only thing they could offer. They did not feel responsible that I could not cancel my taxi to the airport and my hotel for the night anymore. After all, I needed to book a new flight with a different airline, which costs me one day in advance so much more money. To reach the customer service in general was already quite hard, so I spend one full day with calls and so on.

The website doesn't even work if you're outside latin american. Impossible to check in or add anything. In latin America the payments system of the website allso doesn't work. They can't even get the basics right. Low cost / basic is fine, but they cant even provide a basic service. I hope the maintenance and aircraft safety is better than web site / airport / flight experience.
First and last time with JetSmart
Since arriving at the check in it was all about making more money. We did not receive any check in information via email so we were charged additionally to do the check in at the airport. Employees were 'hunting' to find people with luggage that just doesn't fit the cabin bag check. They hurt a dog while putting the carrier bag - including dog - into the bag check. Personal was very unfriendly and did not help to get seats together while there were still some available. Worst airline experience of my life so far.

The worst airline experience ever. We didn't know there was a fee for checking in at the desk if we hadn’t checked in online beforehand. We also requested to sit together, but they refused, stating that we should have pre-booked and paid for seats online since all online seat bookings require a payment. The service at the desk was terrible. We’ll never fly with this airline again.

Some chick on the Dominican Republic stole my credit card info and book 6 flights on Jetsmart. I stopped the charges. JetSmart more like JetDumb
JetSmart more like JetDumb! I’ve never met more incompetent people. Our flight started by being delayed and the biggest issue came with my luggage which got left in Medellin when coming to Cartagena. They couldn’t even write down my name without making mistakes. My bag eventually turned up 24 hours later after messaging them constantly. It’s not an airline, it’s a disaster.

Terrible customer service. Impolite ground crew. Force you to pay for choice of a seat, while we travel together. We don’t accept that, so choose not to pay. On board, one row is completely free, as stated by the ground crew. But still you need to pay to sit together, while they didn’t sell the whole row.
We will never fly with Jetsmart again. Fortunately there are more options.

Flight change without notice
I purchased a flight with the airline in April for January 3, 2025, at 4:15 p.m., but they recently changed the flight time to 5 a.m. and did not contact me to inform me of the changes. If I had not been careful, I would have missed the flight that day.
The problem itself was not the change in time without prior notice, but rather that I had already purchased itineraries for the morning of that specific day. I have a connection from São Paulo to Curitiba, and I practically lost a hotel room (in other words, I lost out). Customer service informed me that I could change the flight date or request a 100% refund. However, in either case, I would lose out. With the price I paid for the ticket at the beginning of the year, I would not pay even half of a ticket at the last minute. If they relocate me to another day, I would have to pay for another hotel room and reschedule my connection to Curitiba! I would like to request an amicable resolution regarding this, either by paying the difference for a new ticket or the daily hotel fee and connection to Curitiba.
Terrible Experience with JetSmart - Lost Luggage and Unresponsive Customer Service
I had an absolutely dreadful experience with JetSmart that I feel compelled to share. My flight to Santa Marta was a nightmare from start to finish, but the worst part was yet to come.
Upon arrival, I discovered that my luggage had not made it to the destination. This alone was frustrating, but what followed was even more infuriating. Despite multiple flights between my departure point and Santa Marta in the following days, JetSmart took an astonishing four days to deliver my luggage. This delay caused significant inconvenience and additional expenses during my trip.
To add insult to injury, JetSmart’s customer service has been appallingly unresponsive. I submitted a request for reimbursement of the costs incurred due to their negligence, and their automated response promised a reply within 72 hours. However, it has now been two weeks, and I have yet to receive any communication from them regarding my claim.
This level of disregard for customer satisfaction is unacceptable. JetSmart’s ground service is clearly subpar, and their customer support is virtually non-existent. The company seems to prioritize cost-cutting over providing even the most basic level of service to their passengers.
I strongly advise against flying with JetSmart. Their unreliable baggage handling, coupled with their unresponsive customer service, makes for a stressful and frustrating travel experience. Save yourself the headache and choose an airline that actually values its customers.

The most horrible airline booking experience. It took me hours to get flights booked because the website just randomly crashes, reloads and does not allow payment to go through. I do not have any confidence in this airline if I ever need support.
Guys, this is your bread and butter. Fix your website!
Tip: If you need to get something booked, chose Chile as a language and book like that. Then payment goes through.

The WORST airline experience imaginable. Flights delayed or canceled with no warning, zero communication, and no refunds. Customer service is a joke—rude, unhelpful, and impossible to reach. They’ll happily take your money and leave you stranded. Pay a bit more and fly with a real airline. This one is a disaster waiting to happen.

Many people were waiting in line in the airport to check in. There was only one lady at the counter. She took her belongings and left. All the people continued to wait and nobody served them. She didn't tell anything to anybody. I caught up the lady and asked when she will come back. "In 2 hours," she responded.
Horrible airline
Horrible airline. They try to sell it to us as being a cheap airline, but they charge much more for a piece of carry-on luggage than any other airline I’ve ever ever seen. My ticket for two airlines in the same day was $300 and to bring a carry-on luggage with jets Smart was another $100. Outrageous. They do not even offer you a couple of water for free on the plane. You have to buy absolutely everything. Chairs do not recline. You cannot plug-in a phone. There is nothing. I understand the intention of being a cheap airline, but for what you get and the price you pay I will never fly with them again and I discourage you to do so as well. And their service for handicap people is less than kind.

Wanted to change my flight (because of a storm i was caught on an island) but there was no way to reach jetsmart, they said they’d reply within 72 (!) hours, which they did not. Impossible to remove my e-mail from the Newsletter, even though I never subscribed! They keep flooding my inbox with junk mail every week and there is no way to change that as the links are not real.
Utterly awful airline
Utterly awful airline. Charged us for checked luggage when we had already paid for it online. We had shown customer service an itemised breakdown of the charges we had paid which used the complex phrase "l u g g a g e", but it was like dealing with a group of orangutan who had been hit around the head with a spade. Avoid at all costs.
