Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 65 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many customers expressed disappointment with the quality of the bread, frequently describing it as hard, stale, or soggy, which negatively impacted the taste of their sandwiches. Reviewers also noted that the portions of meat and other fillings were often too small, making the subs seem empty and overpriced. Issues with staff attention and service were common, with some employees making incorrect orders or showing a lack of care. However, some customers also noted that despite these issues, the food's taste was generally good, and a few appreciated the fresh ingredients and quick service when things ran smoothly. A minority of people were satisfied with specific locations, praising friendly staff and consistent sandwich preparation.

I agree with the other fella that wrote about too much oil on the sandwich. I ordered mine and said I wanted oil and vinegar and the kid putting it on over saturated the sandwich even though I stopped him from doing his usual doses. The sad thing is there was a girl overwatching him doing it which I assumed was the on duty manager and she didn't correct him.

They increased their price about %15 since last week

I am a long time costumer, I went to their store in Ellicott City today and ordered one stake sub and paid $20.09. They increased their price about %15 since last week. Do we really have %15 inflation since last week?? I believe paying $20.09 is too much for a sub (without any extras). I will think twice before I go to that store again.

Had the pleasure of watching your employees at work. May I say, your shift leader Tiffany in the new Jersey Mike's in Rochester, NH was just a ray of sunshine. The food was exactly as I asked for. I'll be back!!

Hadn't been in awhile, now I know why!

Hadn't been in awhile. Decided to get the Jersey Mike's Philly Cheesesteak. So-called "Giant" size. It's actually just a 12" sub. Anyway, the Jersey Mike's in Apple Valley, CA, the price had gone up to $20 for this "giant" sub. It's on a super skinny roll, and there's very little in it for the price. Extremely disappointed, and I won't be going back!

WORSE THAN MERELY DISAPPOINTING

This is a review of the just-opened GERMANTOWN location (which doesn't yet have its own Yelp listing), so I'm posting this under the Mequon listing . . . but I assume that the food preparation is the same at all locations (unless, of course, the new team hasn't yet mastered all the skills needed to construct the sandwiches quickly and correctly).

First, the aforementioned team: They are numerous, and they are in constant motion -- both of which you'd expect at a newly-opened location that was, predictably, busy. Great attitude and spirit evident in all of them; and, as a bonus, I'd recommend you go there if you want to be served by one of the world's premiere Matt Damon Lookalikes.

As for the food: I had the "Stickball Special" (on the "secret menu", I was told; it's not shown on the posted menu on the wall). The wheat bread, which was not as tasty as the whole grain bread at Cousins, did have appealing corn meal on the underside.

Unfortunately, what forces me to give merely one star -- so sorry, "Matt" and team! -- is the "sauce" (that is, the oil/vinegar, each of which is poured on separately). Yes, poured, not gently applied. I regretted not asking for "light" sauce; however, that wouldn't have made any difference. I'm not sure what, exactly, made me give up on eating the sandwich halfway through. Was it the excessive sweetness? Excessive sourness? No matter. Despite my best, heroic efforts (pun intended) to finish, I could not enjoy this sandwich that I'd been looking forward to. All that I could taste was that "sauce". Not the bread, not the cheese, not the meats. (After I'd lost my appetite for the sandwich, I tried to eat a little of the meat, by itself. Both the ham and salami had flavor that was underwhelming.)

I wish nothing but the best to that young and eager staff, but I'll likely feel that Cousins is still worth the longer drive.

Jersey Mike’s just opened in my home town today 9/25/24. The bread was delicious, but I got a chicken Philly and when I opened the wrapper I could not see any meat or anything! So I took a looksy inside and WHAM hardly any meat, peppers, onions or cheese and the 6 inch sub was $12😳! I guess firehouse subs, and jimmy johns it is!!! Over rated Sub at Jersey Mikes was a big disappointment!!

Bad sub lots of cash

Just spent 15 .00 dollars for a terrible sub with cheese and a tiny bag of chips. The tuna was so soggy and wet I had to wash my enire face after eating it. This company will not flourish in Massachusetts because our mom and pop sub places are so much better and cheaper. Tired it and I am never going back.

Ordered a chicken cheese steak philly and a bottle of pepsi today at Jersey Mikes in Terminal A costing me $18.37. But quality is so bad that I would never ever eat there again. It was just some guy with no clue what a philly steak means as he put no cheese onions or green peppers in the sub. More disgusting there was a long hair in it too. If I could put pictures here I wanted to do that here as well. Total waste of money including tip I included. Yes, never again.

Imposible to order with out Mayo

It’s impossible to get a sandwich with out mayonnaise when ordering on line. We tried twice. I went to complain at the store and the manager explained that once the order gets printed it comes spelled out with mayonnaise even if you never asked for it. The manager offered no solution or apologize. She actually got mad because she said that I was pointing at her. I didn’t do that intentionally.

September 2024

September 2024 - Went to get sandwiches for lunch. Got the grilled portabella mushroom sandwich, which I have had many times. Really disappointed. Either the sandwich has changed or the person who prepared it didn't know what they were doing. Bread was smaller and a different kind. Mushrooms used to be the big ones and covered the entire bread. This sandwich today had small mushrooms. Peppers were different. Many areas of the bread were exposed. Not enough mushrooms to call it a mushroom sandwich. Not worth what I paid for it. Won't get it again. Used to be so big that I couldn't eat it all at once. Ate it all today. Really disappointed.
