Refund. I looked to return my item as it is not…
I looked to return my item as it is not suitable for what it was intended for, I was surprised to see that not only would I not get my delivery fee back but I would also get another 25% deducted and would have to pay return postage. If I returned the item I would only get back 25%of what I paid. I don’t find this good business practice. I am now stuck with an item I cannot use and out of pocket.

Sorry to hear you’ve received an item that you no longer require. As outlined in our terms and conditions, any returned items are subject to a 25% restocking fee. This means you would retain 75% of the purchase price, not 25%.
The restocking fee covers the administrative and handling costs associated with processing returned goods, and it applies whether the item is opened or unopened. This is standard practice across the catering equipment industry.

The delivery arrived a bit later than anticipated, taking over a week, which is out of the ordinary for JD. My past experiences have always been impressive with next-day arrivals, often prompting me to praise their quick service. They remain my top choice, although I'll be monitoring to ensure they maintain their high standards.

Failed to deliver
I ordered saucepan on 11th December as a Christmas gift. Nothing on the website suggested a delayed delivery time. Had to chase twice to find out that delivery was into the new year. I'm now left without a gift, 3 days before Christmas. Really poor customer communication. Website is also misleading. My final issue is that a 'British made' pan is coming from abroad. I will not be using this company again.

We never want customers to feel misled or left chasing updates. The delay to your saucepan delivery should have been communicated much more clearly, and I apologise that this didn’t happen. We’re currently reviewing the product page and our dispatch messaging to ensure expected lead times are always visible and accurate.
Regarding the “British made” description, I’d also like to clarify that the pan is manufactured in Britain. It appears the information you were given earlier was incorrect, they are proudly made in Britain, and I’m sorry for the confusion this caused. We’ll be ensuring our team has the correct details so this doesn’t happen again.
I completely understand your disappointment, and I’m sorry that we let you down on this occasion.

i ordered a few pans one of them came faulty called to ask for a new one or a refund i called them up i spoke to a lovely lady called Erika for a replacement and the team sent it out the next day

I ordered a fryer and needed it quickly. The sales ladies were brilliant in seeking what I needed, processed the order and ensured I had next day delivery. The price was really competitive and all was processed as ordered. Even the next day when we phoned to request delivery times the ladies were so polite and helpful.
