I found your site maybe 2 years ago and you have completely changed my guitar playing story. When I bought my first lesson, slow dancing, it was really with little hope that I could ever play it. But your arrangement inspired me and then your lessons guided me. Today I cannot recognise the guitarist I've become. I am by no means perfect, no where near what I would call a great guitarist, but for first time I am genuinely happy with my playing and still eager to improve. And in the end that is what it's all about for all of us. Whether it's playing on stage to crowds or in a bedroom on your own that nobody will ever hear.

Jamie has clearly put a great deal of thought into these lessons. The format is excellent and the presentation is fabulous. I’ve looked far and hard for a course as comprehensive as his. There is nothing left undone, it is complete and if one follows his steps you will succeed. I am personally very grateful for these classes, music is very important to me and performing at this level is simply wonderful.

From Jamie's first offer to the latest suite of products - each are done really well. The quality, detail and step by step approach to each song is amazing. The technique courses are also well done. The SRV style training has helped me achieve a lifelong goal playing a few tunes I always wanted to learn.

These lessons are provided by a guy who really knows how to play and teach. Like all good teachers, his passion is infectious. He is also very helpful if you need support. I have recently started his JHG Method course and have found it very inspiring so far and have progressed because of it.

Rare to get such a talented player break his method down for you in this level of detail. Jamie is fantastic player and teacher. Would have no hesitation recommending this course to anyone who is serious about learning this style of playing.

He’s a fantastic teacher! A lot of courses/teachers/tabs help you “play the notes” but he goes in depth on what techniques are being used. One thing I recommend you pay extra attention to is the right hand. (It’s in the “resources” chapter). That helped me a lot! You won’t come out of the course just knowing a song but actually improving. Look at his Neon course for example, his version is second to none! He plays in almost the exact same way as Mayer. If you listen to other tutorials you will either hear an insane amount of “slapping” so you barely hear the baseline or no slapping or groove at all. I also wrote him with questions and got a response in 1 day so he’s on top of things looking out so you are completely satisfied! Cool guy!

Obviously Jamie himself is an amazing player who excels at the "strat" style (John Mayer, Jimi Hendrix etc., with a focus on the dynamics and feel). But to me what really makes his lessons great is his ability to share his insights into the style in an accessible way. To me the experience of taking his lessons feels the opposite of taking a masterclass or studying at a conservatory -- it is more like casually hanging out with that buddy of yours who is a (much) better guitar player, but still willing to generously and wholeheartedly share his tricks with you. I really enjoy that kind of learning experience.
A slight word of caution though: Jamie makes it look so easy, that one might be tempted to think that it's actually easy to play those rather advanced songs (e.g., gravity, slow dancing in a burning room).. It is not easy, at least not at the beginning. However, with the realization that even with great instructions it still takes some serious dedication, then if you just keep at it, good things will happen :) On that note, I strongly recommend his "crossing the bridge" course for beginner/ intermediate players. I find it to be a great preparation before moving on to the more advanced "strat" songs.

If you want to learn the Hendrix-SRV-JM style of playing guitar (and what player wouldn't?), there is no better way to learn than from Jamie's courses. His understanding and ability to teach this in a way that is understandable and memorable is unmatched. I have signed up for a bunch of his courses, and learned and improved from every one.

I have been using Jamie's courses all the way back to 2018 and I keep coming back to them. His exceptional courses are only matched by his exceptional customer service. Could not recommend him enough.

Let me start by saying Jamie's courses are second to none.
The quality is amazing but let me do one more.
I recently purchased 3 new courses .... during JHG web site overhaul and his new App . Which is awesome. I encountered a few problems.
Jamie "personally" was on it where do you get that kind of service in "2023" ? Anyway he continued to email me working on the problems. I'm in the states so our time zone was different .
But alas every morning I opened my email and correspondence from Jamie was there, Not someone calling me Friend, or T . But " Tom "my name .
.... It was now a personal relationship, and man what a great guy . He even went out and made me a video to help navigate the problem and guess what ? It got resolved. So imagine caring about one customer like that? It just speaks volumes about this Man,musician and teacher.
I am proud to be a student.
Anyway he deserves 5 stars from me and I will continue on my journey with guitar and will continue to be a lifelong student of JHG. Oh and Jamie thank you

Really well made cover tutorials and lessons. High video quality, clarity of content, and interactive tabs. One of the very best online guitar content out there I have come across so far.

Without question, Jamie delivers incredibly easy to understand videos that are not overwhelming but a pace that an intermediate guitars can follow along and put into memory. His detail to both Wind Cries Mary and Slow Dancing in a Burning Room are brilliant. The gear he uses which also includes the exact settings really helps to dial in both Hendrix's tone and John Mayer's. Tab is accurate and his introduction to each course gives you a good feeling that " you got this" ! He reviews each section a few times especially in the more complex sections of both of my course ( WCMary and SDina Burning Room) which helps nail the riff or lick. I could not have been more pleased with this investment. Well done Jamie! I look forward to adding more courses in the near future.

You may enjoy watching Jamie’s performances of his songs (courses) with his “You Tube” videos of how to play in the style of some great songs whilst seeing and hearing if this is a fit for you.

Not so apparent is how well rounded and detailed he breaks down and teaches these recreations with such accuracy, vibe and encouragement giving you so many great nuggets of information.

He explains about the dynamics and feel of a song, the general structure and expression, taking extra time on the nuances and more tricky aspects of the playing technique with a straightforward approach in how to tackle practising these parts.

For me, this is so informative and encouraging in understanding the songs, even though my current technique/general guitar playing journey is not yet in a place to play certain parts at this time, I have gained a valuable insight of how to approach practicing to get there!

Great Courses laid out in a smart easy to follow way. Highly Recommend!

I just want to write few words about JHG Rig I've just purchased. In short: It's amazing! Best clean Strat's sound I've heard from any plugin. I allready had Bias FX and Neural DSP (Tone King Imperial II and Cory Wong) when I bought JHG Rig. Actualy, when I first time heard Jamie Harrison Guitar on Youtube, my first impression was it's the best Strat sound. So, I tried to recreate the sound using my amp (Marshal DSL 5 CR), and later the plugins .
When Jamie Harrison Guitar showed us JHG Rig, I took the sound samples from the website (raw guitar sound and clean with plugin) and I tried to make the raw sample sound as good as the JHG Rig plugin sample, in Ableton Live, using plugins I've allready had. After three days I gave up. The I asked my son to do the same. He gave up after two days. We couldn't force those plugins to make the sound as fat, as saturated and as warmth as Jamie's plugin.
So - now I have the Rig and use it all the time. Love it and highly recomend it!

The JHG Rig from Jamie Harrison Guitar is a must-have for any guitar player looking to take their tone to the next level. I've tried a few different plug-ins in the past, such as the Neural Dsp's and they are great but I always felt like something was missing in the tones I could achieve. That changed when I discovered the JHG Rig.

While it may take a little more time initially to tweak and get the perfect tone, the results are worth it. I've been able to get some amazing sounds out of my Stratocaster and my Les Paul. The level of detail in the instructional videos on the website are easy to follow and really help you understand how to use the full capabilities of the plug-in.

Jamie is a great teacher and really knows his stuff and it shows in the quality of this product. In addition to the JHG Rig, I've also used some of Jamie's other courses such as his song studies and they have been extremely helpful in taking my guitar playing to the next level.

The JHG Rig is versatile enough to work for a variety of different genres, and I've been able to get some truly professional-sounding tones out of it. It's not just a one-trick pony, it's versatile and can give you the sound you're looking for. I can't recommend the JHG Rig enough. It's a fantastic plug-in that's well worth the investment. If you're a guitar player looking to take your sound to the next level without spending a fortune on amps and pedals, give the JHG Rig a try. You won't be disappointed!

Fantastic teacher! Absolute high quality courses, well explained, super accurate and detailed, but not boring. And he can play guitar as good as my Idol's !! : )
Not comparable to random free youtube lessons (with very rare exceptions).
Jamie communicates in a nice and gentle way, and is open for critics. Very good experience and worth the money!

The lessons have been fantastic, I've been enjoying it a lot. I really appreciate Jaime focusing on explaining dynamics and rhythm too, I think those are extremely important to the overall feeling of the songs. Much appreciated!
