Our James Andrews Golf Holiday to Praia D’El Rey was an outstanding experience from start to finish. With just four students per instructor, there was plenty of one-on-one time, allowing us to really benefit from the morning coaching sessions.
Each afternoon, after lunch, we played 18 holes alongside our instructors, experiencing a different course each day—which added great variety and enjoyment to the trip. Although the group included golfers of varying skill levels, this only enhanced the experience. The instructors were excellent at tailoring their coaching to suit each individual, ensuring everyone received meaningful and personalised guidance.
Many of the golfers on our trip had participated in James Andrews Golf Holidays before, which speaks volumes about the quality of both the coaching and the overall experience. It’s a testament to how enjoyable and rewarding these trips truly are.

Excellent golf holiday with intensive tuition practice, which is followed by a round of golf on some stunning courses. The whole team of Pros are exceptionally helpful and provided tuition tailored to your ability and standard. I enjoyed a recent trip to Praia Del Rey and it was superb with a lovely hotel, great food, facilities, friendly people and golf. Very good value and even as a holiday you can do as much as you like or get fully immersed in the intensive day of golf which is a full day, but you have a choice. I was lucky to arrive a day early and tour the local area and found that beneficial and enjoyable. There was plenty of taxis or Ubers available too. I booked a taxi from the airport which is an hour away due to flight time differences and thank fully that worked out very well but ideally James offers a free transfer which could save some money. A lovely sociable holiday playing golf at a fabulous hotel by the sea. The hotel had a large gym and really good indoor pool, spa, steam room, jacuzzi and sauna. The rooms were large and modern with comfy beds. My second trip abroad playing golf and this holiday with tuition was very enjoyable and will book another location in the near future. A highly recommended experience and trusted company.

Wow! This one word just sums up the weeks tuition holiday I’ve just had at Islantilla in Spain. Never had such extensive coaching before on a 1/4 bases with the same coach all week. Training every day, then 9 holes on course with the same coach, followed by more coaching. I have had to completely re learn all I’ve been doing, but it makes total sense and will ensure that my game goes from strength to strength. James and his team were amazing, the fellow golfers were all such a pleasure to be around and the resort exellent. This was the first time with James Andrews holidays, but it won’t be my last. Thank you.

I took my son on this trip, not knowing any of the other golfers, we both had an excellent time, we were included in every way. The golf tuition was outstanding and has totally changed my game. My son was a complete beginner at the age of 30 and by the end of the week he was playing proper golf well done James Joe and Tom top coaches.

Just back from the competition week in Turkey. Great to see so many faces from Islantilla last year! What a week, weather was great, Sueno Deluxe hotel was massive, golf courses were in great condition even after torrential rain. Had a blast and even played some decent golf. James, Joe and Tom were lovely hosts, always willing to help with some impromptu tuition (get Tom to show his golf swing dance 🤣). I highly recommend experiencing golf in Belek, the James Andrews team are great. If you're looking for a golf holiday just do it!

It is one of the best golf schools in the country. All the three trainers are excellent. Tom Hatton, especially so. Every aspect of golf was covered. My swing has improved dramatically and is often complemented by my play partners in my local golf club.

I’ve had golf lessons. I’ve had golf coaching. But I’ve never been on a golf coaching holiday before- and honestly… wow! What a revelation.

The coaching was genuinely first-class. With a coach-to-student ratio of 1:4, this wasn’t a case of standing at the back hoping for a quick tip, it was proper, high-quality attention across every area of the game. Over four full playing days we covered full swing, short game, putting and on-course playing lessons. I improved more in those four days than I have in years of traditional lessons.

James’ approach to the full swing deserves special mention. It was unlike anything I’ve encountered before- a complete deconstruction of ingrained bad habits, followed by a calm, logical rebuild from the ground up. The result? A swing that finally feels accurate, repeatable and powerful. It’s not a quick fix, but if you’re willing to take the system home and put the work in, you’ll be setting yourself up for genuinely transformational improvement.

And then there’s the holiday itself. I joined as a solo traveller and complete newbie to these coaching breaks. Many others had been before or already knew James and his team, but from the very first moment the group was welcoming, friendly and inclusive. It was a brilliantly diverse bunch of people, all there for the same reasons: to have fun, enjoy great golf, and get better together.

In short - superb coaching, huge improvement, fantastic people, and an experience I’d recommend without hesitation. I’ll be back for sure, and my handicap is heading for single figures!

Fantastic week even if the weather was not to good James and the team made everybody feel welcome and the hole week was fun on and off of the course. The level of instruction was excellent so good i am off with to Turkey on monday

Highly enjoyable golf break with excellent, structured driving range and on-course tuition by the team of pros and in the company of a highly cohesive, friendly, group of fellow golfers.

My first trip with James Andrews Golf and I will definitely do another one. It was a fantastic mix of golf tuition on the range, tips on the course and a lot of laughs.

I recently attended James Andrews Tevira Golf Coaching trip in Portugal. The daily golf coaching, in the driving range and short game areas, plus on course when we played the 5 courses was practical, inciteful and surprisingly easy for me to get to grips with. The coaching from James, Joe and Tom team has really given me the basis to reduce my handicap over the winter period. The inclusion of small local restaurants for meals together as a group was a great social feature of our trip, the food was fabulous and much better than hotel food! Many of us had never met before yet we bonded and became friends. This was a great trip, I look forward to joining James and the team on more trips in the future.

Just returned from a week in Mauritius. This was a competition week which means you play a different competition on the 5 days of golf. It is not a full on tuition holiday , but James and his team are always there either holding a clinic or giving you help with your golf. The week was great fun on and off the course. Loved meeting up with old friends and making new ones. I have been away with James 3 times now and have thoroughly enjoyed each one. Highly recommend James Andrew Golf Holidays and already have another one booked. 🏌️‍♀️

Just back from a great golf trip to Mauritius. There was a great mixed group of people, fabulous golf course and great fun. I'd definitely do it again.It was a competition week but gentle competition for most abilities. I learnt a huge amount and I am heading of to the golf range later!

I went on the Costa Dorada (Spain) trip in April 2025. I went solo thinking it was all about the golf and any social would be a bonus. Well it was both! The intensive instruction was excellent and having a Pro with us whilst playing in the afternoon was hugely insightful as coaching and ideas sharing continued throughout. Courses were lovely and we had all the facilities we needed. A few minor problems with the course but this in no way affected our golf and were well handled by James and team.
James and Joe really focused on ensuring we had an enjoyable time both on and off the course. Social side was great - it was never overdone and definitely steered by what we as a group wanted to do. I met some lovely people on our holiday - all keen fellow golfers. I never felt 'solo' but had time when I wanted.
I thoroughly recommend James Andrews Golf Holidays and will certainly be going back again. In the meantime I'm happily putting my coaching into practice and it's already paying off just 1 week later...

I joined James Andrew on his teaching holiday in Portugal this January. It was great. It improved my swing substantially, was great fun and sociable. I’m looking to do another next year.

Just returned from a marvellous 4 day tutored golf holiday with James Andrews golf school in the Praia D'El Ray resort in Portugal. This is my 4th holiday with James and probably the best one to date. As always the coaching from James and Joe was excellent and patient and the camaraderie amongst the group of golfers was great. The Marriot hotel food and facilities were also extremely good. What made this trip so special was that we played on 3 of the best golf courses I've ever been on: Praia D'el Ray, Royal Obidos and West Cliffs.

So far I have been on 3 of James Andrews golf trips, when you weight up the whole package, it’s an amazing price, over 16 hours of lessons weigh up to over £1200 in monetary values, coupled with the pro,s joining you as you play each round of golf, which is something you just do not get anywhere else is a fantastic extension to what’s already a fantastic trip. All the Professionals are brilliant, and do not overwhelm with to much to take in, they concentrate and just a couple of items at a time, I have been taught by Mark 3 times on the trips and James at the academy, mark is a great teacher, very relaxed and tends to highlight items that really improve your swing. I highly recommend these golf trips. Great company, great food, loads of fun.
