Taken my ST150 in for to get cams…

Taken my ST150 in for to get cams fitted and a remap to suit the new mods last week.

They noticed a few things wrong with the car which I appreciate and sorted a few things while the car was on the ramp.

All the staff was super helpful and friendly and didn't seem to mind me in the reception all day 😂

Car drives absolutely mint! A few minor tweaks to the map but will be in contact with the team in the new year to get them adjustments.

In whole a really positive experience and looking forward to coming back again!

Bunch of Fraudsters - avoid.

Took car to them with engine warning fault (mixture rich). They originally mapped car. Got it back with similar warning. Fobbed me off saying it was the low battery. Jamsport had remapped car (over-writing their original map) and replaced an O2 sensor and the oil and charged me £1000!. When I took car to MOT it failed emissions off the scale with MIL warning light. I replaced pre-cat O2 and MAP sensor myself, still failed MOT on emissions. It was obviously mapping problem, but company blamed everything else (MOT test centre equipment faulty, moisture and my drive home). They refused to look at the car again without payment. They are in breach of contract They rate themselves but I say they are poor mechanics whos failure they blame on the customer. Useless and Fraudsters.

These people are Crooks

These people are Crooks! They couldn't access my sons brand new Emerald ECU to do a map when they said they could! so sent him him away on a 4 hour drive home saying they needed a cable !!! all day and hours of driving wasted!, a week later and numerous un answered telephone calls they tried to blame our ECU and recommend he buy one of there's for £1200 plus installation!!! these daylight robbers then charged us £400 for the privilege of there enlightened information and for doing absolutely nothing !!!!
Complete charlatans !!! They literally didnt change a thing !! Its all about the money ! No service here ! .

We took it to a local engine tuner who had no problem what so ever and mapped the car in under an hour!. Done! He knew what he was doing that's why!

I don't recommend these idiots in any way shape or form, we are contesting the charges and will be taking it to the small claims courts !.

You have been warned!.......... AVOID!

Absolute crap show of a company..

Absolute crap show of a company... this place actually needs to get shut down ASAP!!!! Hopefully everyone can get a petition put together and actually get this placed closed down after all the money the have robbed and the appaling work they do to to people's pride and joys... lack of knowledge is a understatement... I know college apprentices who have 10x more knowledge then the whole of jam sport put together.... lack of communication from the desk to the workers is not even there .. and here we are trusting them to talk to to the cars ecu wen they carnt even speak amongst themselves .. they do the minimal work and scam ppl with the we did a "base map" and then complain about the car as soon as they know they've made some money today and sack the rest of the dyno run and everything off .. 390 pound is better than nothing right 🤷‍♂️ that's the jam sport way ... TOO EVERY CAR LOVER WHO CHERISHES THERE CAR .. PLZ AND I MEAN PLZ STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY ... THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT UR CAR AND THEY NEVER WILL !!! ANYTHING FOR ANY KIND OF MONEY COMING IN THAT DAY IS THERE MOTO .. OUT OF ALL THE TUNING COMPANIES THAT EXIST I WOULD RATHER GO TO A IMMIGRANT WITH MICROSOFT XP ON HIS DELL TOWER COMPUTER THAN STEP FOOT OR TALK TO THESE SOFT HEADED ... BRAIN DEAD .. BARELY FUNCTIONING..BARELY BREATHING IMBACEILLS THAT WALK THIS PLANET.. WHICH WE HAVE TO SHARE WITH THEM UNFORTUNATELY...
I HOPE THIS PLACE GETS SHUT DOWN SOONER RATHER THAN LATER .. BUT WE CAN ALL PRAY EH 🙏 JAM SPORT PLZ JUST CALL IT A DAY I KNOW YOU HAVE TO MAKE SOME MONEY TO FEED UR FAMILYS .. BUT UD B BETTER OFF SELLING UR REAR END AND PPL MIGHT ACTYALLY THINK ITS TIGHT AND WORTH THE MONEY RATHER THAN U DISAPPOINTING US ALL BY SAYING U CAN MAP CARS OR EVEN BUILD THEM... IF THEY WAS A BUTTON FOR NO STARS I WOULD OF PRESSED IT THAT MANY TIMES I WOULD OF GONE THROUGH THE SCREEN PROTECTOR ON MY PHONE !!
EVERYONE !!!! STAY !!! AWAY !!!! GOD FORBID U HAVE ANY KNOWLEDGE ABOUT ABOUT UR OWN CAR THEY WILL CHARGE U EXTRA CUS THEY ARE EXPERTS APPARENTLY ... AND UNO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT THE CAR U BUILT FROM GROUND UP !!! ABSOLUTLE JOKE THIS COMPANY ... PLZ STAY AWAY !!!!!!!

We have a duty of care before putting the car in the dyno, for both staff, premises and the customers vehicle. It was requested for us to fit a part the customer couldn't do himself which he was quoted for before fitting and approved. While on the ramp we carried out a report inspection notifying the customer the vehicle wasn't in a worthy condition for us to put in the dyno for mapping as it was a potential fire hazard. the exhaust was close to the fuel tank with no heat shields and the exhaust was also jubilee clipped to the rear beam. Customer asked for a base map which we said we would do so they drive home, upon carrying out base map file, the vibes from customer and comments made about staff we felt in the interest of all parties would be best reverting map back to standard and refusing to carry out any more work on car. All work was authorised by customer before carrying out.
We have multiple pictures of the poor condition of the vehicle proving the un-road worthy condition.

Ben hayes needs more training

it took them 6 weeks to post my power steering kit
Ben hayes who is the general manager that replies to customers emails seems to be rude and on his nerves when replying back to customers. The item was posted to the wrong address. He tried blaming it on me for his lack of knowledge on what the difference is between a billing and a shipping address . Even though those were different and he said that he used the billing address for the delivery. He still somehow managed to send it 15 houses down the road from there. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful

Rubbish is and understatement ..

Rubbish is and understatement ..
After my previous review of this terrible company , I eventually picked up my car nine months after they started work on it , they couldn’t even be bothered to clean my car after it standing outside most this time bearing in mind it was spotless when they picked it up from me . The New MOT that they did and passed , what a Joke , it was missing a wheel nut that had de threaded and I had told them about previous, the engine was not running right even after over £7 k spent on it , brakes were just working and steering was like driving in a muddy field dangerously heavy , I was so concerned I informed DVLA to carry out another inspection by their officers who failed it miserably, obviously on the missing wheel nut but also on the emissions, so that was £7k well spent ..!
It’s also has a oil leak , runs terrible, various engine noises I even got a shock from the distributor, cables and wires left bare and unattached just dangling in the engine bay , fuel line unattached and also left exposed in engine bay , how it didn’t catch fire on the way home I don’t know ..maybe because I just needed to get my pride and joy away from these cowboys the gods were smiling on me .

And I know they have replaced rare Performance parts with basic aftermarket ones , I’m sure there are another Escorts out there appreciating them , they definitely would have been charged a high price for the privilege.

All I know is avoid this company like the plague, they couldn’t care less about you as a customer or your property, absolutely no pride in what they are providing apart from getting as much money out of you and see what parts they can obtain for other similar cars they have in or are due in , hence why they had mine 9 months , a nice donor vehicle wasn’t it .
And my nice new reconditioned leather interior they also got oil stains over and damaged it .
Such a pleasure to have done business with this delightful company.
All I know is Karma is a great friend of mine. Hope you all can sleep well knowing what a wonderful experience you have delivered to a paying customer.

I just hope if you read this review, please do not go anywhere near Jam Sport , there are enough reviews now warning people, I can emagine there are plenty who haven’t written a review and just put it down to a bad experience, unluckily for Jam Sport I’m not one of those .

AVOID AT ALL COST!

Jam Sport carried out work on my Mini Clubman, when it was with previous owner, to replace faulty window regulator. This work was done 4 months prior to my purchase of the car at a cost £335.00. According to previous owner there had been a wind noise from around the window since the work had been carried out, and this was the reason for me taking it back to Jam Sport. Having been told they would look at it whilst I waited, I did so. After 3 long hours of waiting I was informed they had not been able to correct the problem and it needed a new seal. Did it really take 3 hours to come to this conclusion! They said they would order a new seal and let me know cost of this work. They then presented me with a bill for £180 for NOT being able to fix the problem! A problem that had been created by them in the first place! I was stunned! Since this visit the window has in fact been worse, and I’ve not heard from them regarding a quote to fix it. I have absolutely no intention of going back for them to fix the window and, given their service overall, I’m not at all surprised that I’ve not heard from them. My advise is to avoid this company!!

Ordered a wilwood 4 piston conversion…

Ordered a wilwood 4 piston conversion for a customer car, said on the listing it takes two weeks but took almost 6 to arrive. When it arrived the kit was missing brakelines and the caliper colour didn't match as one is much darker than the other. God knows how long it will take for them to sort the problem, they really let themselves down and I can't afford to use them again as it has costed so much in wasted time.

couldn't be happier with the service.

I went to jamsport with a boost problem and they found the problem, kept me up to date with what was going on. I have recommended this company to my friends and family. I will defiantly be going there when I start putting parts on my car.

Big hand to Ben, Jamie and all who work there.

Dissapointing service

I was told to be at there new premises at 7.30am for a rolling road set up and had to wait until 11.00am before they even bothered to take the keys to my car from me. At 11.30 I heard my car start up and and it was being driven to there rolling road. 4 hours later they came back and told me my engine was knocking and said they would like to take my sump off and look and I told them no as it's all ready been a long day for me so I drove it home as I knew the engine would need a full rebuild again, the next day I spoke to the guy who built my engine and he said there's no way the engine would of gave in that easily unless they thrashed the nuts out of it without checking the map first and this made sense as they never knew me or my car and they dI'd not even ask what spec the engine is or what has been done to it all they knew was that it was a fresh ecu installed and it needed setting up, so basically if you go to jamsport on a Monday morning and want your car setup then I wouldn't bother as chances are they have been racing all weekend and can't be arsed to do a thorough job

Be VERY careful when buying from Jam-Sport.co.uk Northampton!

From Jam-Sport Northampton I bought a "Front Big Brakes Kit" which was marketed as being purpose-made for my particular road car.
For a start it took several days more than promised, to arrive.
I had specifically requested that Jam-Sport leave the part numbers on the components' boxes as I explained I wanted to be able to order service parts in the future, not necessarily from Jam-Sport - for example - what if they stopped trading?
When the kit arrived, several days late, the brake disc boxes had their part numbers torn off.
When you unpack the discs it's obvious why - these discs were never made to fit my car. They are off a different car and have been re-drilled very poorly to a new stud pattern for my car. Some of the new holes - are oval!! There was also no provision to secure the discs onto the hubs of my car. It took my expert race and rally mechanic 4 hours to fit this brake kit due to these problems with the discs.
The braided brake hoses supplied were not long enough with the suspension on full droop, so my mechanic made me up some new hoses at an extra cost of £115.
The brake pads supplied are only 12mm thick so they do not last very long.
The brake pads still had part numbers on their boxes as requested.
Recently I needed to order new pads.
So I ordered new pads from the part numbers on the boxes - from a proper Motorsport supplier, not Jam-Sport. To my shock and anger, when the new pads arrived - they do not fit in the calipers at all!
It turns out that Jam-Sport have machined the pads down considerably, to a totally different footprint! The pads I had ordered could not be used.
Basically I will NEVER again buy anything from Jam-Sport Northampton.
if they GAVE me something I would not accept it!
