Untrustworthy and Overpriced – A Decade of Incompetence

I’ve been using this company to service our small hotel’s sump tank under a maintenance contract for the past decade. Surprisingly, they’ve never actually performed any work—just showing up twice a year with no real service provided. Two years ago, they charged me £800 to install a chain for lifting and servicing the pump, only for them to admit this year that the work was completely unnecessary, as the pump is fixed to the ground and can’t be lifted.

To top it off, this year they quoted £2000 to locate the pump’s junction box, claiming they didn’t know where it was. It took me and an electrical engineer just 10 minutes to find and test it, and the engineer only charged me £50. I also asked for a quote for a replacement pump, and they sent me an estimate of £1500 just to survey the tank—basically charging £1500 to provide a quote. Considering they’ve been servicing this system for 10 years, they should already know exactly what’s needed.

I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for reliable and honest service.

Product broke

Product broke. I'm contacting the company and they tell me that they don't deal with end customers. The support knows nothing about the product. Doesn't want to deal with it at all, about zero service mindedness. Then they tell me to get in touch with retailers that only sell to companies. It's a bad product, only surpassed in being terrible, by the support. Never dealing with this company again.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!! Would have given zero stars if I could have. Ordered a part on their website months ago. Card payment taken immediately - still waiting for goods. No response to emails. Never answer the phone. They should be shut down - absolutely shocking way to run a business.

Unable to distinguish between engineering and giving a quotation

Supplied company with details including photographs of fractured outflow pipe in underground domestic pumping station. A team of two engineers were sent out who on initial inspection stated they could not repair it but could offer a quote for replacement. No engineering work was done. The quote arrived, but was not taken up. Three months later I final received an itemized invoice for a call out fee and four hours of "engineering work". This invoice was around a third of the cost of another firm very competently effecting the repairs.

Truly shocking customer service.

Truly shocking customer service.
Technical support gave decent advice but advised not to order parts for a fortnight as they were having a warehouse move.
4 weeks later I ordered the recommended parts, which were showing as in stock on the webpage with a 3 - 5 day delivery.
15 days later after 2 calls to customer services, who couldn't give a damn about customer service apparently whilst the items are in stock they cant allocate them to my order as they aren't booked in?
And not, they can't tell me when they will be booked or when they might be despatched let alone delivered.
Ended up just cancelling the order to get my money back and that was a whole different experience.

I needed an engine part in a hurry and…

I needed an engine part in a hurry and jabscoshop assured me they can do next day delivery. I even paid extra for next day delivery before 12 noon. Turns out they can't offer that at all. When I phoned the following afternoon the part was still with them - they didn't even try to send it next day. Had to buy another one from a chandlery who actually could send something out quickly

They've shown no remorse for this rubbish service and have yet to give me a refund

Basically if you're in a hurry don't buy anything from xylem, there are plenty of other distributors who can do their job properly

Very poor experience, money taken for items not shipped and subsequent bad customer service.

Purchased a washdown pump on their website (just over £200 inc shipping). Listed as 'in stock'. Received an immediate email acknowledgement of the order, no indication of any stock problem. Over a month later I noticed they'd debited the full amount to my card but there had been no delivery and no further correspondence from them. Phoned them up to be told these items weren't in stock, might be in a warehouse in Hungary (eh?) in around a month but might not. Asked why they had listed the item as 'in stock, was told 'the website stock is all wrong because of the move to Hungary'. Asked when I would receive the item was told 'probably in early February' but when I asked this to be confirmed in writing was told it depended on 'shipping' so could not be confirmed. Asked them to refund my card to be told, 'no, you have to put that in writing', something that is neither a legal requirement or even remotely polite.

This is not a good supplier. They lie about their stock levels on their website, they do not tell you when they are not going to deliver your item and they (illegally as I understand that this is specifically prohibited by merchant acquirers) take money from your card prior to shipping then refuse to refund it when asked to. Their telephone customer service is also rude, when I asked the lady dealing with me for her name she just refused to give it and she seemed to be under the impression I was somehow unreasonable to be upset that they had lied about stock, taken my money and also still wouldn't say when the item would be shipped and subsequently refused to refund my card without involving me in further inconvenience.

I would not attempt to buy anything from this company again.
