I had an issue with their 2-authentication system not sending a code in a timely manner. I let them know. They responded very quickly. It's obvious they pay attention to their customers. Refreshin... See more

Having used them for a few years, albeit with no real problems apart from vague responses to customer support. When they put their prices up last year for no noticeable difference at my end, I changed to a local provider with better customer service and cheaper prices.
I've just received a notice from iwantmyname telling me of another price increase, which is odd, I don't give a crap when I am no longer a customer. I emailed asking what domains I still have registered with them. 4 people read my email and did not respond. So I replied again asking why those 4 people chose not to reply, and again no answer after 2 people have read it.
conclusion, poor customer service, price increase not justified.
Excellent customer service, quick to respond and action. Highly recommended.
This company is terrible. They randomly refunded every single domain I have with them at the same time and locked me out of my account. I'm still trying to get an answer from their support days later.
Meanwhile my businesses are being destroyed and I can't even use my personal email address that uses a domain hosted with them. I can't even log into other services that use email addresses affected by this for email based authentication. They basically shut down my entire online presence with no warning or explanation and I've been nothing but a loyal customer in good standing.
Stay far away from this company if your livelihood depends on any services running on domains they hold.
As a newbie to DNS, I found my experience here as quite straightforward. I am already a Fastmail customer and iwantmyname accommodates this with a bit of automation. With a bit of help from ChatGPT I was able to add a record to help configure my new domain as my handle with BlueSky. It was also easy to configure a redirect to my v1ce.com homepage.
Very straight forward process to check and select and domain. Same goes for billing, payment etc.,
However, customer support (provided by R.A. in this instance) was completely sub-par. While no guarantee is provided that you can refund a .COM address, it may be possible to do so if no registration payment has occured - according to their company website.
R.A. completely disputed this and requested me to submit links to their own website (!) that stated the above. After I did so, R.A. told me to make sure I do not make typos, and that a refund is not guaranteed.
I received no explanation about what makes a refund possible or not possible, especially considering that both my purchase and the refund request took place during business closure (weekend).
I got myself into a very difficult password problem and was locked out at an urgent moment. iwantmyname support were very calm and patient. First of all they made really sure I wasn't a scammer and when they were quite sure they guided me through a secure way to reset my login password. Very supportive and very reassuring!
Robert was very helpful and responsive throughout the process. He provided clear guidance and ensured my issues were addressed efficiently. I appreciate the professionalism and support. Thank you.
Quick response, we figured out the best way to solve a problem I had with paying for my website-name. Took us a few mails but that was okay.
iwantmyname has demonstrated an alarming lack of accountability. A false phishing report led to the unjust disabling of itch.io's domain. Despite being provided with a response disproving the claim, iwantmyname disregarded it and took down the site anyway. This is a clear failure to protect their clients from automated, baseless copyright claims. If your domain can be disabled without proper investigation, your trust and business are clearly at risk. Avoid at all costs!
It seems they don't care about their client and are happy to turn company's off on an automated reooport.
They also don't seem to reply to emails.
Probably the worse registrar out there.
Use porkbun instead, at least they have humans that reply to emails.
Great company and fantastic customer service! Anytime I have messaged with a question I receive a detailed and helpful response right away! Also affordable pricing for domains!
The service is very good. I had some problem and contacted iwantmyname, I got all the help I needed right away. Very happy with the service
Contacted support regarding transferring ownership of multiple domains, at one time, into my account from an outside registrar. Support got back to me ASAP, answered my questions and confirmed I had all the needed details in order. The entire ownership transfer process went smooth and unexpectedly fast.
The representative was very helpful and responsive. We got my problem solved quickly.
Very easy! No expertise required to make this happen whatsoever...
IWantMyName.com is one of the remaining genuine registars on the web. Great service and as long as your happy with email support the team really delivers.
I have been with IWMN since the early days when they were 3 guys in Wellington and they have retained that dedication to service as they have grown.
