Dr. Shahriari has made valuable contributions to medical research and ophthalmic science, especially in the use of artificial intelligence to help diagnose and classify eye diseases.

His work on AI in glaucoma diagnosis, diabetic macular edema, and inherited retinal diseases looks at how new technology may help doctors detect and better understand different eye conditions.

We are honored to collaborate with Dr. Seyyed Morteza Hosseini and his team on their valuable research, “Strip Meniscometry in Dry Eye Disease: Correlations with Standard Diagnostic Tests,” published in our affiliated journal, Medical Hypothesis, Discovery & Innovation in Optometry.
Their study highlights the potential value of strip meniscometry (SMTube) as a simple, non-invasive adjunct in the multimodal assessment of dry eye disease, particularly given its association with tear break-up time (TBUT) and patient-reported symptoms.

We are honored to publish papers of A/Prof. Firoozan Narooie (Senior Clinician Scientist at Tehran University of Medical Sciences) and her team on their valuable research, “Wharton's Jelly Mesenchymal Stem Cell-Derived Exosomes for Keratoconus: A Pilot Study Evaluating Short-Term Ocular Safety and Feasibility,” that will publish soon in our affiliated PubMed- and Scopus-indexed journal, Medical Hypothesis, Discovery & Innovation in Ophthalmology.

Professor Narooie has also published two great papers in our affiliated journal, both of which have received several citations:

Associate Professor Narges Roustaei is Head of the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology, School of Health, at Yasuj University of Medical Sciences. She completed her PhD at Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, one of the leading universities in the region.

Despite economic restrictions that make research more challenging, Professor Roustaei continues to contribute to scientific research. Her dedication is an inspiration for women in science, especially those pursuing their goals under difficult circumstances. Well done Dr Narges!

We had the pleasure of working with her on the paper “Application and Interpretation of Linear-Regression Analysis,” which discusses an important statistical method widely used in ophthalmology and vision sciences.

We are very happy to see Dr. Mohammed Aljarousha’s comments and glad to know that he is satisfied with IVORC!

Dr. Aljarousha is a senior optometrist, academic, and clinical researcher who works as an active Senior Lecturer in Optometry in Malaysia. His research interests include dry eye disease and ocular health, including eye-care challenges in conflict-affected areas.

We have had the pleasure of working with him on several papers, including “Ocular Surface Disease Index questionnaire in different languages” which has received several citations. His work highlights the importance of assessing dry eye symptoms across different languages and populations.

Dr. Aljarousha has also collaborated with researchers in several countries, including Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Jordan, Malaysia, and the UK.
