Purchased my van BG70SSX 26/04/25 after sale complete was told they are awaiting the logbook and will contact when they received it, but still no logbook and just been messed around. Drove the van 10 miles out of showroom and engine management light come on. brought it back the same day, they check it and was told is was the co2 sensor and will order a replacement and they would book in for replacement but have fobbed me off and still not resolved.
Very good experience
I had a very good experiencing purchasing a used van. The van was as described and the work carried out prior to collection was carried out as promised. A prompt response to my enquiry outside of their opening hours was unexpected, but is a testiment to their customer service. The reason it is not 5 stars is because I was only informed that they do not accept credit cards when arranging collection. We did however come to a compromise and they accepted part payment via credit card. Overall a great experience and I would not hesitate recommending them.

Very disappointed with this companies…
Very disappointed with this companies after care. I helped my daughter purchase a Fiat 500 from salesman Robbie after paying deposit I was told the car was going immediately for an MOT as was required from a AA guaranteed used car dealer. On collection of the vehicle we asked if all was ok with MOT was there any advisories was told no all fine nothing, trusting this we paid balance and took the car home. When looking at paper work we saw that in fact the car had not been given a new MOT. I phoned the next day and was told sorry it must of been missed (strange after saying yes it had all gone through fine) oh well they then booked it in and completed the MOT and all was good so we thought. Car was running really well until we noticed only 6 weeks later that areas of lacquer on passenger door was peeling off badly obviously from a re spray being done perhaps too quickly etc. We went back to Robbie to tell him and we was quickly ushered out of office (maybe as another customer was in there purchasing a vehicle not sure he wanted them to hear) we showed him the peeling he quickly said ok leave it with me il make a phone call and get back to you in 1/2 hour. Some hours later I received an email asking for photos which we quickly sent. The next day we received another email saying that paint work wasn't like that when we bought the car and not covered by the warranty and giving me a quote for work of around £250.00 Firstly we know paint work wasn’t like like that when we bought it otherwise obviously we wouldn’t of bought it! Secondly we know paint work wasn’t on the warranty (we had purchased an extra 3 year warranty) but after paying just short of £10,000 for the car ONLY 6 weeks before we thought as an act of good will by this dealer they would of covered this. My daughter is only young and works hard and was very excited to have bought her 1st car sadly I feel I have let her down by using this dealer as they appear to have no morals what a shame.

There has been no environmental issues causing the peeling after 6 weeks as I said I know it wasn’t on the car when bought from you but let’s be clear it was ONLY 6 weeks ago and so would of been decent of you to offer even a contribution to the work that now needs to be done poor show from your company but oh well you live and learn that all dealers are not good

It's not often that I write reviews, but for Ivanhurst Motor Company, I will make the exception. I Called and deposited £250 on a Ford Fiesta I was interested in seeing and potentially buying on Saturday (I called on Tuesday) - Tom told me he would have the car ready to go should I be interested in taking it home that day, he also offered me a very fair price on my part exchange that I would be bringing down. I arrived on Saturday and was delighted with the car and happy to find out the car had 12 months MOT on it, fresh oil and service and something they called a PDI (Pre Delivery Inspection) as well as a six-month warranty, which doesn't seem to be an industry standard as a couple of cars I was looking at before all came with three months. Tom stuck to his word on my part exchange, and I was in my new car within half an hour. I recommend that anyone looking to purchase a secondhand car visit Ivanhurst. I will be reccomending to my family and freinds whenever ''new car'' pops us in conversation! Thanks again, Kian

Purchased a 2015 Ford Fiesta - registration JG65 JAM. Within the first week the vehicle had issues which I notified them of immediately. After several emails to get a response, vehicle was taken in to be “fixed”. After a day of having the car back the issues were still there. I gave it a couple days and emailed back again - approximately 2 months of being ignored by call and email. Ended up speaking to the finance company who was also ignored for over a month from the garage. Had an independent IVIS report provided by the finance company and vehicle was deemed unroadworthy - shocks and suspension were shot and basically falling off the car, turbo ruined, knocking from engine which Ivanhurst said was sent to Oc Motorsport and was told it was fine, yet these are also their dodgy neighbours, clips missing to hold pipes on, the list is endless. Car went back to dealer as advised by the finance company, who finally managed to get hold of Ivanhurst to tell them it’s going back, and within a few days the car went back up for sale. I posted “UNROADWORTHY” on the photo and said I’m happy to send my report to anyone and got an abusive call from someone at the company claiming to be the director. Very unprofessional company, dodgy traders - I have a very close contact at Ford who is also now recommending a different garage for cheaper cars due to their shoddy work and service. AVOID THE CAR AND COMPANY AT ALL COST!!

Hi Tom, I find it funny that it’s taken a couple months to respond. I have an independent report from the finance company to prove the car is unroadworthy, which you also have with yourself there. You say to call, but I tried calling and emailing you on several occasions to get this rectified to which I was ignored, so you are only trying to act like your service is great for the sake of a review response - pretty pathetic if I’m honest. The fact I also had your director calling me and threatening me - doesn’t really shine you in the best of light does it? All my points are 100% truth and I have all the evidence to prove this. I rarely leave reviews, so if a bad experience is received, a review will be left. I think you should get some more customer service skills to improve this “quality service” you all brag about, as this certainly wasn’t relayed in my experience.

Amazing service
I recently bought a Mini Cooper from Ivanhurst and the whole process was very easy from start to finish

Absolute con artists charge you thousands more than car is worth and can't fix anything that goes wrong and expect you to be happy. Every car I purchased had nothing but problems.

A company that can’t be trusted and your warranty doesn’t mean a thing to these 2 con men. I don’t know the 5* comments have been put up before these people have had any problems or maybe not had any. But if you do have problems believe me Tom will lie to you as he has to me. He unnecessarily kept my car for 4 days. Put mileage on, used my desiel without reimbursement!! Did not fix my car like he told me would. Lied to me. Tried to not give me the half a*r*e paperwork which proved he did not have the work done. I had to cancel clients whilst he pretended to have my car fixed for 4 days. You tell me if re- gassing air con takes 4 days????????
Tom told me his ‘good guys’ where doing the list of work that a garage I had gone to who had done a diagnostic test on came up with but Toms refused to have my car fixed. Even though it’s under warranty. Even though he told me that’s what he was having done. Even though that’s why he had my car for 4 days. But it turns out TOM is a LIAR 🤥

Tom is a CON MAN & neither of them at IVANHURST are to be trusted!! Today I picked up my car after he had it in for a repair for 4 days. After I had an independent person check and find FAULTS with a car that is under WARRANTY!!!!!!!
TOM has consistently lied to me for 4 days. Told me he’d informed. He didn’t!
He had his ‘people’ do my car!
And it turns out that, after having my car for 4 days!!!! ALL that was done was re-gases the air con.
In that time- They have put mileage on my car checking it and used my diesel!!!!
Was I re- imbursed? NO!!!!!!
Did they do they main job of the of clearing the DF of which is why I took my car back? NO
Yet TOM lied to me. And when I collected my car. He tried to rush me out of the door and and tried not to give me a copy of what was done to my car. So I would have been none the wiser. These 2 are untrustworthy and dishonest. And the BS they spill about they’ll do anything under your warranty is a lie. I now have to take this matter further. Do not believe the 5 * they must take they low stars off!!!
