ITA Airways changed my flight by more…

ITA Airways changed my flight by more than 5 hours, making it impossible for me to reach Bari in time for my connection. As a result, I was forced to buy new tickets and completely rearrange my travel plans.

What disappointed me the most was not only the schedule change itself, but the complete lack of customer support afterwards. I contacted the airline requesting assistance and a refund, but received no response, no guidance, and no solution.

I am a frequent traveler and have flown with many airlines over the years. This is the first time I have been left in such a difficult situation without any meaningful assistance. Being ignored when seeking help is another.

Very frustrating experience and extremely poor customer service.

On a flight from Rome to Tokyo there…

On a flight from Rome to Tokyo there was no water to. Wash our hands. No WiFi either.
The customer service was terrible and because of their mistake I couldn’t check in my luggage to my final destination and had to get my luggage, wait 3 hours and check in again. They had changed the dates of my flights too for no reason.

Don't be fooled by the @Lufthansa logo. @ITAAirways is still a bankrupt-mentality airline that marginalizes its passengers. After my surgery, I provided a legitimate medical report for a flight change. They rejected my medical documents, canceled my ticket without my consent, and stole my money. I paid €400, and they only 'refunded' €71 (airport taxes), pocketing €329 for themselves! This is not an airline; it's a scam operation that ignores human rights and medical emergencies. Avoid them at all costs!

Premium Prices, Stone Age Technology



Amazing—when you arrive in Italy, with all its fame, flair and history, one would expect a first-world level of efficiency. Instead, one quickly realizes it can feel like just another Latin country on a different continent. Unfortunately, ITA Airways fits right into that impression.

The website is outdated, the app is unreliable, and basic functionality simply does not work. After booking a business class ticket, I was unable to access my reservation through the website using my surname and booking code. The app eventually located the booking, but even there:

My assigned business class seat does not appear
The app shows that there are changes to my flight, yet provides no information about what those changes are
There is no clear or reliable way to verify the actual status of the reservation

It is surprising that in 2026, an airline positioned as a national flagship operates with such an inadequate digital experience—especially for premium passengers.

This is my first experience with ITA Airways, and based on this, it will likely be my last.

Incredibile: quando si arriva in Italia, con tutta la sua fama, il suo fascino e la sua storia, ci si aspetterebbe un livello di efficienza da paese del primo mondo. Invece, ci si rende presto conto che può sembrare semplicemente un altro paese latino situato in un altro continente. Purtroppo, ITA Airways si inserisce perfettamente in questa impressione.

Il sito web è obsoleto, l’app è inaffidabile e le funzionalità di base semplicemente non funzionano. Dopo aver acquistato un biglietto in business class, non sono riuscito ad accedere alla mia prenotazione tramite il sito utilizzando cognome e codice di prenotazione. Con l’app sono riuscito a visualizzarla, ma anche lì emergono diversi problemi:

Il posto assegnato in business class non viene visualizzato
L’app segnala modifiche al volo, senza però fornire alcun dettaglio
Non esiste un modo chiaro e affidabile per verificare lo stato reale della prenotazione

È sorprendente che nel 2026 una compagnia aerea che si presenta come vettore nazionale offra un’esperienza digitale così inadeguata, soprattutto per passeggeri premium.

Questa è la mia prima esperienza con ITA Airways e, alla luce di quanto sopra, sarà con ogni probabilità anche l’ultima.

The absolute worst airline in the…

The absolute worst airline in the industry...in Europe. My flight from Rome to Milan today took off, for no reason, no updates 1 hour and 2 minutes late. The captain blamed it on fog for the incoming flight, prior to our flight, which was total nonsense since we all saw when the incoming flight actually arrived at the gate. I simply hate being lied to...
