Poor management
Great clinical care, poor management. As an NHS referral, I found the dental work to be top-notch, but the booking system is broken. You can never get an appointment, and even when you do, the cancel within 24 hours. This has wasted my time and significantly delayed my treatment. Very discouraging experience.
AVOID! I would strongly advise others to…
I would strongly advise others to consider alternative surgeries. Our experience with this practice has been extremely disappointing.
Referrals were delayed by nearly three months, and appointments were cancelled at short notice by text message. Attempts to have open and honest conversations were unsuccessful, and on more than one occasion staff alleged that I was shouting or swearing when this was not the case.
After raising concerns about the service provided, the practice refused to continue treatment and removed my daughter from their care, offering only a written apology filled with explanations rather than meaningful action. This response felt inadequate given the seriousness of the delays involved.
NHS patients appear to be deprioritised, with appointments offered during school hours only, the receptionists declined this, despite the practice’s answerphone stating otherwise. There was also consistent pressure to consider private treatment.
As a result of these delays and cancellations, my daughter’s orthodontic treatment has been significantly affected, and she has now been advised that further teeth may need to be removed. I consider this outcome deeply concerning and believe the care provided fell below acceptable standards
Absymal customer service
Absymal customer service.
What a terrible establishment this place is. Customer service is non existent. They try to upsell if you have been referred by NHS, and say waiting list is a year and push you to be a private client. As soon as they realise you won't pay they ignore you and don't return calls.
Never seen a service like it. Avoid at all costs
Such lovely people
Such lovely people- kind, relaxed and friendly. Both myself and my daughter find medical things a bit tricky, but from our first appointment we felt safe which made life so much easier for follow up appointments. And- the results were brilliant- my daughter had one particularly wonky tooth that made her embarrassed when she smiled (she’d put her hand in front of her mouth!) She doesn’t now- she just smiles her beautiful smile! Thank you!
Awful practice offering NHS braces
Awful practice offering NHS braces, rude and unhelpful reception staff, who seem to priorities private patients. Almost every appointment I make is changed last minute. Woking needs another orthodontist offering braces on the NHS
I would like to leave a negative…
I would like to leave a negative review. 4 months ago I moved my referral to IQ after I was told that they do not have waiting list. I kept calling but they always brushed me off saying they will just contact me when they have the schedule. I am utterly disgusted and hoping they will be reported to ombudsman.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I am utterly disappointed and frustrated with my experience here. Not only was my daughter’s experience with braces here substandard (the treatment time was 3 TIMES LONGER than promised), I requested her dental records in writing and she politely asked in person over a month ago (going on 2), and despite multiple follow-ups, I am yet to receive them. This level of unprofessionalism is completely unacceptable. Not only has this delay caused me significant inconvenience, but it also shows a blatant disregard for patient care. They are simply breaking the law by doing this, it’s an utter disgrace. I would strongly advise anyone considering this orthodontist to think twice. If they can't handle something as basic as sending records, how can they be trusted with your dental health? It seems everything’s finally coming out in the wash judging by likewise bad reviews😂

I would leave a negative review if I was able to. I moved my daughters referral here on the lie/misinformation they had no waiting list and she would be seen at the next available appointment. Three months later I’ve heard nothing so I chase - to be told it’s actually an 18 month waiting list. I’ve been calling every day for four days and every time I’m told a manager will call me back. Not a single phone call. I’ve whatsapped I’ve emailed and I’ve private messaged they are completely uninterested. I will be complaining to the ICB and ombudsman as they have lied/misrepresented and refused to communicate.
IF YOU ARE A PRIVATE PATIENT AVOID
IF YOU ARE A PRIVATE PATIENT AVOID! My experience at this orthodontist was a nightmare from start to finish. What was promised to be a quick three-month treatment turned into a never-ending nightmare spanning over an agonising year! It’s a wonder this place hasn’t collapsed under the weight of their own greed. Despite numerous inquiries about the prolonged treatment time, I was consistently reassured that everything was on track. It wasn't until I voiced this in a review expressing my frustration that they suddenly bothered to take action. It's obvious they prioritise quantity over quality, leaving patients feeling like nothing more than a number on their overloaded schedule.
Their practice of scheduling appointments three months in advance, knowing full well it hinders treatment progress, is beyond deceitful, conveniently keeping patients oblivious to the fact that it slows their treatment progress down. This wasn’t just me, when you are sat in reception you can hear patients getting appointments months in advance as they are simply unable to accommodate the number of patients they take on. Furthermore, I am under the impression that they book 2 patients for the same slot and take whoever arrives first, as multiple times I waited over 40 minutes to be seen (although I was on time), making each visit feel like an absolute cattle call. It's clear that their priority is keeping their schedule full rather than providing efficient care. They blatantly lied about the treatment time just to lure in more patients and get me through the door as they are so desperate for money. My treatment dragged on for months longer than promised, and the quality of care was subpar. Ultimately, this orthodontist cares more about filling their pockets and views everything from a business perspective rather than providing a satisfactory service, which is why I think a majority of their patients are NHS in comparison to other clinics (as NHS patients typically don’t have a choice what clinic they go to).
I would also like to point out Adela who is at reception is particularly arrogant and objectively needs a refresher course in customer service. She would purposefully pronounce my name incorrectly. To be honest, they are so disgustingly overbooked, it’s a wonder she could even remember it. Adela would make inappropriate comments, such as the fact this orthodontist was “doing me a favour” as though I hadn’t paid £1000 for treatment here, simply because I had come from another clinic to continue treatment here. It was their choice whether or not they wanted to take on my case, and to be honest I wish they didn’t. Everyone else who works at reception is really nice.
Do yourself a favour and find a practise that respects their patients’ time and doesn’t sacrifice honesty for profit. Avoid this place at all costs for your own sanity, unless you enjoy being misled and treated like a mere inconvenience. Just seriously save yourself the frustration and find an orthodontist that values transparency. Trust and honesty are paramount in healthcare and this orthodontist fell short on both counts. I genuinely felt like just another cog in their money-making machine and I don’t want anyone else to have the same experience as I did. If this orthodontist had said, we are rammed with NHS patients and your appointments will be months apart, OVER MY DEAD BODY would I have handed over my dignity and hard earned money to this circus of corruption.

My daughter got dental treatment here and the doctors and other staff are very cooperative here ,they treated my daughter very well, they explained everything very well how to take care of the teeth so that it can be damaged. I had a combination of Invisalign and then a fixed brace. I’m happy with the results but it ended up taking a long time due to covid and the change in treatment. All the team are excellent and I would give a special shout out to Adela who kept my treatment on track and was always incredibly helpful and kind! Thank you, Anna

Lovely, helpful staff. Good at fitting appointments around our availability. Treatment explained well and all treatment finished earlier then we expected.
Brilliant family friendly practice
IQ Orthodontics have been wonderful for my two daughters who now have lovely straight smiles (having previously been very wonky!) They are two very happy young ladies. The entire team have been professional and caring, even during the very challenging covid time.
Quite honestly we will miss the IQ team now that their treatment has finished! Thank you so much. Highly recommend 🙌

Very good care was given to us throughout the treatment period. We started the treatment amidst of COVID and was not sure how it would go, but the staff was kind enough to accommodate us and provided a quick appointment when the braces broke. Thanks team for your service
