I tried out a few different video generation platforms, and this one ended up being the most frustrating. The price felt high compared to others, and I kept running into glitches that slowed me down.... See more

I have a paid subscription, but InVideo.io can only produce coherent videos of around 5 seconds, and it follows my instructions maybe 50% of the time. For the price, that’s disappointing.
If you just want a fun, random short clip, it’s fine. But if you have a specific, professional use case—forget it. For example, I wanted a 20-second green screen background video of four dogs playing jazz on stage (specific instruments, setup, etc.). Instead, I got two dogs, two humans, and after 5 seconds, random animals and instruments appeared. It ended with a close-up of human hands—completely off-brief.
When I tried to “edit” (really, “correct”), the system refused to acknowledge the human hands at all. Other times, edits wiped all original instructions and generated a totally different (and equally flawed) video. Every edit also costs extra credits.
Bottom line: this is a novelty tool for casual, short, not-too-serious videos. It’s not suitable for professional or precise work. I’ll be trying Grok or Adobe’s tools instead.

You don't get enough credits on the basic plan of $35 a month to make even one video these people are super expensive. Good videos but not worth the cost

The idea behind the app/tool is great, and it works okay, but the monthly subscription is very expensive. On top of that, you have to pay a lot extra in the form of credits, which you need to purchase, to generate REAL AI videos.
So overall, it’s an okay all-in-one tool, but quite costly, and real AI features are not fully included. If you want to use genuine AI video generation, it becomes very expensive (additional credits).
We tried creating a AI-generated video. It was okay, but the result didn’t look natural and contained mistakes and errors. When we wanted to correct those errors, they asked for additional credits to fix their own mistakes, which feels a bit sketchy since you already paid credits to generate the video initially.
The monthly subscription provides some credits, but often only enough to generate one AI video.
I would recommend this tool only if stock media with AI voice-over (in English; other languages are not recommended) is sufficient for you. Because with stockmedia there are enough ''Points/credits'' (for now) included to generate sufficient volume of videos. However, if you want REAL AI-generated videos, this tool does not deliver the desired quality fully.
Due to its expensive monthly subscription and the potential for many additional expenses because of the credit system, I suggest looking elsewhere for real AI video generation.

I have the paid version and the programm isn´t intuitive at all. Expect a disrupted workflow everytime because the software messes up automatic narration at times, making it sound off at times and even if you prompt the ai to correct it, it doesn´t understand it. Change your script, suddenly your images go from full screen to 9:16 altough the change had nothing to do with images. Work which would normally take you 30 minutes can take you up to 4+ hours and a lot of frustration just because that software still behaves like a beta while you have to pay full monthly to use all its features. If I come across a similar programm I will cancel my subscription immediately because it keeps frustrating content creators like me and is actively disrupting my workflow and creativity.

I subscribed to InVideo AI for $120/month to test it for my YouTube channel. After generating one short test video (under 5 min) that didn’t follow my instructions or meet basic quality standards, I realized the platform wasn’t for me.
I didn’t export or download anything, yet 67% of my credits were gone. When I requested a refund the same day, they only refunded $40.
There’s no free trial, and the credit system is aggressive and poorly explained. You burn through credits just for testing, and they don’t make it clear that this happens before you even finish or export.
Their support provided generic, copy-paste replies, ignored my request for complaint procedures, and shifted the blame to “policy.” As a new user, you're expected to pay to discover that the tool doesn't work for your needs, with no protection or flexibility.
Avoid if you're new or value transparency.

At first, it seemed very straightforward, and the product did what I hoped for. I'm nine months in and have moved away. The company seem intent on requiring customers to upgrade or purchase additional credits for a product that is far from cheap in the first place. Upgrades can be confusing, and the AI occasionally makes mistakes with spelling, which it appears to struggle with identifying. To make corrections, additional credits are required. Support seems to come from their bot, which isn't particularly helpful.

I had written a review previously and removed it.
I really want to like invideo and unlike other reviews I don't believe it's a scam. HOWEVER beware, using invideo would be like ordering a pepperoni pizza, receiving a vegetarian pizza, returning the vegetarian pizza, receiving a Hawaiian pizza, returning the Hawaiian and ending up with a cheese pizza you're CHARGED for every returned pizza even though it's no fault of your own.
Invideo's out put in regards to video generation is somewhat close, but never what you asked for and with each generation of major screw ups YOU are charged for it. Narration can come out mumbled, and regenerations sometimes default to stock video. For v3 it's an average of 14 credits ($15) for a 2-3 minute video and v4 is an average of 40-50 credits ($40-$50).
However with regenerations this will balloon to over $100 a video even though it's their output not following directions.
Buyer beware.
I do believe they are actively improving their product and do believe they are not scamming, it's also fault of this newish technology. However the fact the user is punished financially is crazy

As usual, there is click bait in the ad, I went to the page to test render a page. Logged in with my Google account and started composing a simple short video clip. After pressing ok, I waited and as usual after that they want credits. 2 credits!
But what happened to free. What a scam, the only thing they want is your information so they can send spam to your inbox.
Time to start boycotting such companies.

Offered a free trial, and then after I'd spent ages entering in and refining the script, it wouldn't let me go any further without paying $125.
AI still gets so much wrong. As if I'm going to spend $125 before seeing even a grain of the output.
Jokers.

The credit system is a scam. Too expensive for the quality it offers. Overall the video generator AI is barely decent, text-to-video mode. When purchasing one of their programs (subscribing) there are some prices. But, when a person is generating a video and then editing it, the website goes on with some modifications and then says that you have consumed more credits than what you expected. So, for example, if you edited a video multiple times because the generator sucked at converting a super well prepared prompt into animated film, the website will block it and ask for more "credit purchase" to continue.

Outstanding service. Thanks!
If possible please reduce prices for add-ons. This is very costly.
Awesome technical support and customer service though

Excellent, prompt customer service. The response time to my tech issue was short, and the resolution was within about 24 hours. This was greatly appreciated!

They have excellent, prompt, and generous response. This helps me feel confident that I am well supported in all of my projects. And that I can count on them anytime I need.

Customer service that is so bad I quit the software.
The customer service is so rude and useless. Wastes tons of time. I get videos with copyright infringements, they make you jump through 100 hoops and still do nothing. Just keep charging you for videos you cant monetize.

Lets admit it. The only difference with the other AI vid generators is you are offering generative video but ... 15 min only ?????? Not worthy 15 mins for $120 per month is pure madness. i done the mistake to subscribe and i just canceled my subscription. 15 mins are simply not enough. we want to create videos but not for the price of gold. its nice program but the pricing is savage and ridiculus! prefer to wait few months and there will be more, chaper and unlimited probably GENERATIVE videos only !

It used to be good but now it ignores my instructioins and goes off on tangents to generate Ads, create narrations etc. Today i tried 6 times to create a simple video with rain and animated texxt and failed. I give up. Just stopped subsribing after a year.

It used to be really good! Now it ignores my requests and goes off on a mission to create ads. Today I wanted a simple video with rain and some animated text - NOT autowritten speeches and inserted images, After a year subscribing, I'm done.
