We purchased our land in Lombok a few years ago through the Invest Islands Lombok office, and have dealt directly with their President Director, Kevin Deisser, during all of that time. We understand that other investors are facing challenges with management issues associated with the Hong Kong entity. We have found Kevin Deisser and his local team to be reliable, honest and helpful, and understand he is endeavouring to try and deal with and rectify their management issues in the best interest of the Invest Islands investors.

The company is indeed going through some internal issues, but one of the director Kevin Deisser, is at least doing his best to save everyone interest, and had a meeting with him and he’s trying to make sure that all clients are satisfied.
Let hope for the best.

My experience has been mixed with my purchase of Lombok land. Having paid for my plot I learnt that one Director Jack Brown had taken my land Certificate (Title) together with a number of others and had them held by his Notary. I believe Brown had also used funds paid by me ( assume other investors funds also)to meet his expenses. I have had clear communication with the other Director Kevin Deisser now for some time and found him very helpful in assisting me and other investors to obtain our Certificates and secure our investments whilst being facing ongoing obstacles from Brown. I believe Kevin Deisser has been a helpful and client focused person since the day I first spoke to him.

Invest Islands is not to be trusted - staff kept changing and it completely wasted my time for over a year, especially when I asked (as a lawyer myself) for proper legal contracts, details etc. So glad I didn't purchase a villa in their Mandala eco-resort development project and would strongly caution others against them.

Keen to hear from other investors from Invest Islands in their Pengantap 008 subdivision ….still waiting for legal resolutions next week? But not comfortable if my funds are released before Invest Islands deliver infrastructure ( roads, water, power, sewage) which was part of the Agreement I and the company signed. Not happy to pay 100% purchase price for what is really a 450m2 portion of virgin farm land…..will have to build off grid if I could get onto the plot without roads!

I worked for Invest Islands for nearly 5 years based out of the Hong Kong office. 
It was a very typical boiler room feel at first, lots of cold calls etc selling land in Lombok, Indonesia (next to Bali). 
Things were going well at the beginning and even during the pandemic. 
However, there was always some underlying issue: 
1. They couldn't afford to pay salary on time (this happened around 8/9 times and especially during the end of my employment. Ex staff are still owed salary!! 
2. Clients asking for updates on their build and the resort that was supposed to be building and marketed for at least 2 years. 
3. Clients asking for resale values after a few years and getting no information from Lombok 
4. Clients requesting their deposit refunded as they were not proceeding and in most cases the company would need to put together a repayment schedule as they didn't have the client's money. 
5. Lack of communication between the Hong Kong office and the Lombok office. When progress on developments and clients land prices/sales was communicated to us, we had no way of knowing if it was true or not as the excuses seem to always be the same and was always ended with a " we will know more in 3 months time". 
From a personal perspective, I was owed a large amount of money in commission from a sale that they couldn't pay (although the client has already completed the transaction), therefor after 8 months of waiting for them to resolve I had no alternative but to take them to the labour tribunal court. 
This caused great stress for my family and myself, not to mention the time and collecting of documents to prove my case. I was awarded the case and they were ordered by the courts to make a payment sum to me in 12 monthly installments (due to cash problems again) . This, surprisingly went as scheduled , up until August when I received a request to pay half on the due date and half two weeks later, again, due to cash flow) payments then stopped altogether in month 9!! 
After several attempts at liaising with them to rectify this I was met with the same story that clients were being fed: " we have a group of investors looking to buy into the company and then we can settle our debts, we will know more in 3 weeks" This went on for 3 months and has now brought me to this review. 
I have spoken to a few clients (mine as well as others) that have been treated very badly by Invest Islands with empty promises from Jack Brown the CEO. 
One client (who I inherited off the CEO Jack Brown) while I was working there, I had to call to tell him his building, that he had spent a considerable amount of money on, was no longer being bult as the resort was not going ahead. 
I feel sorry for these clients that get zero communication. 
These clients are spread far and very near (the office opened on Lamma, a very close-knit community where a number of clients still live) including Europe. 
This company have no morals and show no remorse!! 
Jack Brown the CEO should feel ashamed!!
There is no more staff at the Hong Kong office, however, the office remains open.

I purchased a piece of land, and I was advised that the best option was to create a PMA company. Now in 2024, after several years, the government is threatening to seize my land, citing that a PMA is a company and I do not have any business activities, taxes, or employees associated with it. As a result, I am at risk of losing everything. While this isn't a scam, it does feel deceptive. Regulation in Indonesia for foreigners is maximum 25 years of rent, don´t try to be tricky because you will lose all as me.

We have been dreaming of Investing in Asia for a long time and I had researched extensively. They have since followed up with topography and asked if I need help with design, which we are looking forward to.

The whole experience has been amazing. Invest Islands helped us identify the perfect location on Lombok for us to build.
They have been supportive and responsive since day one. Answering questions and coming up with solutions to all our questions and conserns.

Been to lombok for the first time in 2020 and I met the invest islands CEO in a local school I was visiting (this company funds many local activities and is well known for that). They helped me to purchase my first land in the South of the Lombok. Now I have three! Totally recommended.

Looked into investing in a property with them. Sent through the contract for the property, got legal advice from a land and property lawyer in Indonesia and he said it was riddled with issues. Asked the team to then understand the ability to negotiate on the contract and speak to one of there many clients (there words) who have already gone through the process of having an asset managed by them. couldn’t give us a referral or even an email proving they have clients with working assets. Also this was in 2022 they said this will be built in 23. Were now towards the end of 2023 with no village close to being finished. Air on the side of caution.

Their PMA translates as a ‘Foreign Investment Company’ The PMA is recognized by the Indonesian government as a legal entity. I trust this company, especially after reading about its licensing on its official website. invest-islands.com

Invest Islands is a good company to invest land in Indonesia.

After years of backpacking trough SE-Asia Indonesia attracted me and my girlfriend the most. Due to the crazy housing market in Europe and our love of traveling we searched for a place we can enjoy both. Working in Amsterdam and Living in Indonesia would be a perfect combination.

Our search ended in Lombok and the team of Invest-Islands, far away in the Netherlands and on the internet there are a lot of sketchy articles and stories about land ownership in Indonesia. I had tons of questions and in four months of meetings with Alan our sales contact in Hong Kong I got an answer on all of my questions.

After many hours of meetings Invest-Islands helped us with our business visa's to enter Indonesia in June 2021. After our quarantine period we flew to Lombok and met the team in Kuta.
Piece by piece it started to feel real, the office, the people, cars, visa's, the team was on location and had a real presence in Lombok.
We went to visit the plot with Jack who flew from Bali for us and also he could answer all our questions.

Two days after our visit we decided to buy the plot and sign all the paperwork in Kuta.

Currently we are starting the design process and hope to begin building in the summer of 2022 when the infrastructure has been put in place.

We knew this was going to be an adventure but until this moment (9 months later) I was very very easy. We wonder what bumps are ahead but the whole journey was great so far.
