Extraordinary 2nd time touring
What an amazing tour! This was our second time touring with Inverness Custom Tours and I thought after our first tour that nothing could top that. Well, they DID! We covered a lot of ground from our home base to Stirling to our next base in Oban then wayyy up to Orkeny. Our tour included castles, palaces, ruins, wee walks in amazing natural places, ferry rides, and pre history.. such a variety of stops that were selected to match our interests.
Highlights for us include Falkland Palace, Bruar Falls wee walk, Inverary Castle and unexpected highlight, the wee Art in Nature Walk on Mull, the mountains of Glen Etive and everything Orkney but especially Happy Valley. We were so fortunate to have again the amazing Amanda as our guide. She has a great sense of humor, is patient, extremely knowledgeable about everything Scotland and is simply an absolute joy to tour with. We are especially interested in Scotland’s history and culture and she delivered and then some! There was no dull recitation of facts and dates but a fluid interweaving of history, legend and culture.
