Smashed package, poor customer service, waste of money
Smashed package, packed like crap, not even in antistatics but regular plastic baggies, the sensor kit was supposed to be in a sectioned case but is free floating in a plastic bag, they spend more on advertising than the actual gear and charge your 5x the hardware costs. avoid! just buy them yourselfs, the code exists on the web, this company is terrible~!

I bought the 30 days lost in space and so far it has been amazing. Very good for beginners.
I have had to reach out to them for a few problems I had, they were kind and responsive. I even broke my HERO board and they offered to replace it. Good people work here who want you to learn about electronics.
Their shipment might take awhile- but I wont give less stars, since it isn't a huge company that can afford next day shipping or immediate email replies
TERRIBLE
TERRIBLE. RECEIVED THREE ORDERS. TWO OF WHICH WERE SENT TO COLORADO (48252 51311), THE THIRD WAS SEND TO MY HOME IN NAPLES FL, DESTINED FOR COLORADO (57907). aLL HAVE BEEN CHARGED, SUCCESSFULLY, TO MY BELLCO DEBIT CARD. ONLY HAVE HAD QUESTIONS (DESPITE SENDING ORDER COPIES FROM M EMAIL). ABOUT READY TO GIVE UP 0N THEM. ALSO, NO PHONE NUMBER THAT DOES NOT DO INVENTR ANY FAVORS.

Avoid
Scammy… the “free” kit valued at $60 is not worth anywhere near that. But it’s free, right? Besides the $10 shipping, which seems fair until you receive a cheap plastic bag in the mail (worth more like $0.10 shipping) with smashed pins. Ripoff even for a “free” product

Too many emails
The product is pretty cool, but just because I order something from you doesnt mean you just add me to a damn mailing list. I unsubscribed, then when I signed up for the required account, I got added back on the mailing list! I will not continue to do business with companies that add me to lists without my EXPLICIT consent.

I emailed them a couple of times in the last few weeks, their auto reply system says that it will not take more than 48 hours, however even after weeks there is no reply. Their product and the course seems good but their feedback and responses are extremely bad.

So glad I found this company!
I purchased the Lost in Space kit last year and recently upgraded to the Adventure kit 2. Their lessons are engaging and fun, their components work flawlessly and their customer service is prompt, courteous, and friendly. They and Disney should give lessons on customer service and professionalism! I am proud to be an Arduino nerd and lifelong Inventr.io customer!

The website wouldn't finish processing my order after I confirmed my CC information. Waited 30 minutes and it was still hung at 75% and I have no idea how to cancel.
I have created an account in the hope I can find some customer service information.
I ultimately did receive a receipt and later an order confirmation. Then I realized I hadn't included my full correct shipping address. By the time I started an email to request they change their customer service contacted me because their system had flagged the issue of a missing apartment #. I was relieved and impressed. So far so good.🤞

Made me fall back in love with electronics.
I got a 'lost in space' kit to try out with my little brother. The sessions are really simple to follow, my brother is enjoying making circuits and coding. I am also loving it as I haven't done something like this in years. The equipment in the kits is impressive and good quality, you can tell each item has been thoughtfully included.
Delivery was also very good and fast considering it was being shipped across the Atlantic.

I've always wanted to learn circuit building. I've bought 3 kits like this and a few different books, but this is the first one I've actually started. It's fun and the story is interesting.

I am so happy with my 30 day Lost in space kit. I have learned so much in the first fifteen days and can’t wait for each new task. The creative days (every fifth day) have really inspired me to come up with my own ideas and project creations. The instructor is fantastic! He explains everything in detail and brings real life experience along with some SyFi fun to boot. I look forward to expanding my knowledge now that I am retired.
i have done programming in the past
i have done programming in the past. in several languages, but been out of it for 20 years. Inventr.io has rekindled the fire to program, and design things like when i was a child. With the improvements over the last few decades in both technology and programming, it has gotten so much better to where my nephew is doing the 30 day in space kit. i wish these products existed when i was a kid.
good concept but…
I wish it was just either just learning electronics or just programming. I don’t know either subject very well and have given up because I couldn’t get day five to work right. I wish there was someone who I could call to ask hey why is this not working. My code looks right and my wires and hook up look correct but it’s not working. Is it an electrical issue or coding issue? Who knows. I think the concept is great! But I have tried day five a few times and just can’t get it. Then I didn’t feel comfortable trying things on my own at all when they gave us a day to have fun. I was like I have no idea what to try even. Maybe give us something to shoot for to try on our own and then have the next day be the answer to the question.
Inventing Fun
I’ve got a background in coding, but the 30 Days Lost In Space adventure kit is a fun foray into really understanding the hardware circuitry I’ve programmed during my software career. This is a fun daily habit that can be a little addictive… in a good way, of course. I highly recommend InventrKits to everyone.
mechanical engineering student…learning coding
I am a mechanical engineering student who wants to get into designing the physical aspects of robotics... and I knew absolutely nothing about coding. I wanted to try to learn this secret language and needed a good beginner introduction system. My college robotics club bought the 30 day lost in space kits to get everyone up to an entry level to begin building robots and getting into robotics competition.
I was nervous about trying this scary thing. This AMAZING kit is so perfect for entry level... it makes it fun... and a joy to play with. I like being able to pause the videos and rewind to listen again. I love being able to see the code below in the "comments" section under the video.
At first I had no idea that I was supposed to click something to indicate I finished a challenge... and could not figure out why my circles were only half filled in.... because near the end of the video... before the finale music started playing... I tried to click the Mark Complete button and nothing happened so I figured it didn't do anything. It took me weeks to figure out it only activates when the video completes playing. Some kids do not bother sitting thru the whole video to the end. Once we get it... we just run with it... and run to the next challenge.
It would also be nice if our account just remembered which day challenge we left on and automatically returned us to this video on login. Just sayin... Over-all our robotics club loves these kits.... No reason to FEAR this scary thing called coding... These kits make it fun.
Cheers.

Absolutely love this kit I've been wanting to get in to the hobby for years and finaly glad I did. Looking forward to the future and thr awesome builds storys they come up with.
inventr.io has a TON of promise
inventr.io has a TON of promise, but they are lacking in execution with the 30 Days of Space challenge. I have learned a lot, but the presentation is dry and the user interface could use a lot of work.
The kit itself is great. I have learned so much, and it has me considering the new kit that will be coming out. I have learned about a lot of different electronic components and will be able to build on the knowledge learned to begin working on my own projects.
Unfortunately, in our content driven world, presentation carries a lot of weight. For inventr.io to reach 5 stars, they need to improve the presentation quality to match the value of the kit itself.

Was just about to purchase and thought I'd check the reviews. What I'm hearing about the narrator (on multiple platforms) is a real turn-off, I must say. Are you guys planning on doing anything about it? Let me know if you do and I'll purchase.
Great Concept with Potential
I really like the concept of inventor.io training and supporting hardware. Building on previous software and hardware designs reinforces the complete learning experience. While having a moderator is beneficial, creating scenarios that are “stretching” reality can be distracting and frustrating. I may be a little biased after 36 years supporting Space Shuttle and Space Station Operations & Training in Houston. The current “Space” related theme is probably great for the younger newbie crowd but distracting for those with any experience programming or building hardware. I will say that before I started this course I had no experience using OLED displays. Now I am thinking up new ideas for using them and rethinking some existing projects. Any new “take aways” from a training course are win-win.
