Interrail advises train not scheduled to run - cost £200
Last day of our 4 day Interrail pass - having used the app to plan our trip and following the schedule it proposed. Arrived in Zurich to connect with a TGV Lyria service - TGV9218 at 11:34 - that the app claimed would take us direct to Paris GdL and for which I had purchased seat reservations via the app. The train was not there. Both SBB (and later SNCF Lyria) staff assured us that this service was NEVER SCHEDULED TO RUN THAT DAY. Had to purchase 4 new seat reservations (TGV and Eurostar) got back to London too late for a train home. In all cost us around £200 in new tickets plus an overnight stay in London. I guess when it all works, it feels fine. Trying to unpick problems like this when travelling against time and just using a mobile phone is a NIGHTMARE! Websites are confusing unpicking stuff like this; station staff can be kind - but that's all! I HATE INTERRAIL. NEVER AGAIN.
