If I could give 0 stars I would. I had a holiday insurance claim and was transferred to ERGO who deal with all insuremore claims. Haven't heard a thing. They just hang up the phone on you and don't reply to your emails. It's totally worthless holiday insurance. I will be submitting a claim to the financial ombudsman if I don't hear from them soon. Thankfully it isn't a huge amount of money but imagine if it was. The insurnace is not worth the paper it's written on. Avoid !!!!
Anyway to rate negative 100??!!!
Anyway to rate negative 100??!!!
What a waste of time and space! Had a claim and they referred me to ERGO, their claims administrator. Submitted all the paperwork on 23 July. It's 16 Oct and if it had not been for my chasing, you will hear nothing from them. It's in their interest to stall (and hope you forget or they just tire you out). I got excuse upon excuse with no one able to confirm the claims process nor commit to any timelines. Actually, Once they did say they will reply within 5 days. 30 days later, I had to chase - again!
Don't take a policy out with Insuremore, despite the price because when it comes time to make a claim, they will ignore you. If you chose another provider, check who is processing their claims and if it's ERGO, move on.
Just submitted a formal complaint to the Financial Ombudsman.
Note to InsureMore - don't respond to this with your standard BS. Look into my claim and respond with a concrete path to resolution.
Bad experince
What's the point of Travel Insurance if it doesn't pay out when you, actually need it...
They don't deserve a 1star however had to select so I can leave a review. I have been with Insuremorre for a number of years ... when I had one very small claim I have had an unacceptable level of service and communications...Absolutely pointless having insurance for travel, DO NOT GET TRAVEL INSURANCE FROM THESE!!

Do not use this company!
I put in a claim as I needed medical treatment whilst on holiday in Orlando. I contacted Ergo, the company that deals with claims on 17th July as I received an invoice when we got home. I have sent all the documentation twice and spoke to people on the telephone. Today is 28th August and I still have heard nothing about my claim! not happy at all!

Web site been Under maintenance for over 4 weeks
Been . With this company a number of years but policy runs out. 4th May unable to renew problem is I have holidays booked but now even though booked holidays I will not have cover now if I have to cancel any complete waste of time thus company has been updating its web site for over 5 weeks I’m sure they must be going under as it does not take weeks for maintenance
Excellent
Excellent experience. On a recent visit to Mexico I had to attend hospital for stitches and CT scan due to fainting. My total bill was £3800, which I paid on my credit card and was reimbursed by the insurance within 7 days on my return. Would certainly recommend and will definitely use again.

Don’t waste your money
I consider it a waste of time buying insurance with this company/Ergo. Perhaps they are cheap but it’s a waste of money as they do not pay out when something goes wrong. Despite buying a so called deluxe policy that covered travel disruption, they would not pay out out when my recent trip to Madeira was delayed by over 24hours causing me and my family to lose a night in the all inclusive hotel I had paid a lot of money for. They found a petty loophole to avoid paying out by stating that as my flight had taken off on time, the subsequent disruption, namely the flight was returned to Gatwick, did not count. They really couldn’t care less. I think they and Ergo have acted in bad faith and I am going to make a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman. Be warned about this company.
Don’t be fooled by the price!
The underwriters deny all claims, the complaints process is a pointless exercise, you might as well watch paint dry on a snail. Insuremore won’t offer any assistance regarding a claim, they send you a form to send to the underwriters. The underwriters have different terms and conditions to ones supplied to us.
We where delayed in Amsterdam after KLM cancelled a flight due to ATC issues, KLM didn’t want to help us, had to book overnight accommodation, and where re routed the next day via Luxembourg, arrived well over 12 hours later in Porto, lost our original hotel due to no show. Insuremore’s underwriters will not pay out as they have found little loopholes in the terms and conditions. I hope that someone doesn’t actually need some serious medical assistance as these guys and the underwrites won’t pay for anything. Keep shopping for a better company!

They don't deserve a 1star however had to select so I can leave a review. I took out this insurance to give me peace of mind for, my Holiday June this year... Well when it came time to use it after we get stuck overseas and had to spend out approx £1k for further accommodation foods, and transport to and from the location. I submitted a claims form and they gave us a whopping £0 ...even though it was out of our control and we have no way home until the 26th of June 3 days later than planned...Absolutely pointless having insurance for travel, next time I'll just get a health one. DO NOT GET TRAVEL INSURANCE FROM THESE!!

Excellent customer service would recommend
I can recommend this insurance company very highly. We were due to go on a cruise holiday, when very close to our travel date my mother was diagnosed with a severe illness and we were unable to travel. We cancelled everything down with our travel agent and then submitted our claim. I had read awful reviews about the company and was very worried that our claim may be rejected. Actually we received exceptional service from start to finish and we received our money back less air passenger duty, which is totally refundable from the airline. I certainly would not hesitate to recommend.

Don’t buy the car excess cover!
I have bought insurance from them for a few years and fortunately have never needed to claim.however I have booked a recent holiday and intend to rent a car. I thought let me double check on the car hire excess cover i have added on to see if it cover for any loss of car rental excess deposit I could incur in the event of a accident. To my surprise I was told boldly by the claims team. This product is rubbish. We have to turn away so many claims disappointing customer as the product covers only the tyres/roof/undercarriage. In the event of an accident you are looking at mostly body damage. The rear the front, dents, scratches .. these are the most common damages and none of this is covered. This product seem completely pointless. I wrote to Patrick Chong the director of insurmore to explain that this product is very misleading and 9/10 customer need cover for the body of a car and explained how this product is misleading and most people will think they have full protection and actually have nothing. I requested a Refund for this extra product so I can purchase it elsewhere .
His response -
Having considered all the information available to me, I have not upheld your complaint. While this may be disappointing, I hope the above explains my reasoning.
“Please note that, in common with most, if not all, insurance policies, the InsureMore travel insurance policy does not cover every eventuality. Insurance companies are entitled to decide the terms on which they offer insurance cover, and the terms and conditions of its policies form the basis of a contractual relationship between the insurer and its customers.”
This is far from true, most company cover damage to the body hence providing you with cover for the most common incident. Nonetheless He offered me 85% refund on this product. I agreed.. he then cancelled my entire travel insurance policy !!! Crazy as a director he could not read /understand the issue and could not even pick up the phone to discuss the issue.
In hind sight the dedication for this company did not pay off. And now I wonder if in the event of an incident would I be covered? . My advise stay away and find a better company that doesn't throw you under the bus when you need them. There not worth it !

Cancelled flight NOT covered
We took a trip to South Africa in December 2021, everything went well, until our Emirates flight got cancelled 3 days before we had to return to the UK in January 2022. We had to rebook on another airline as Emirates cancelled all flights indefinitely. Emirates didn't want to give us a full one way ticket refund, but we thought at least the travel insurance would cover the difference. We've been going back and forth months now, trying to get help from Insuremore, only to now be told that this is seen as a flight delay and we cannot be refunded even though our policy states that it covers cancellations.
Insurance is meant to make you feel assured that you will be covered in troubling times, Insuremore does not fall into this category for us.

Thank you very much for the prompt delivery. It prevented me from ruining my plan. My brother enjoys the shirt I purchased for him.
Have been trying to contact the claims dept
Have been trying to contact the claims department for 2 weeks now with no success. I get a recorded message stating I am no 1 in the queue however rings & rings and then cuts off. Have posted a claim and had no acknowledgement. Sent an e mail as advised to do again no response. Am quickly losing all trust & faith in this company.

Claim Reference GLA33422
I have been using this company for some years as competitively priced. My last cruise had a missed pot so I submitted a simple claim to the insurer ETI as the policy covered this in October last year. I am still awaiting for this to be processed and have tried chasing up by phone and email without success. Having now read the appalling reviews I doubt I will receive anything and will have to resort to contacting the FCA.
Following on from my post, Insuremore got in touch and I am pleased to say that my claim was settled within two weeks.

Experience of seeking a refund
We used Insuremore because they provide really competitive insurance rates and I got a discount with work.
Our trip had to be moved forward due to travel restrictions from the pandemic, and they were flexible on doing this. We were able to bump it on cost-free, apparently they'll do this for up to 18 months after you book with them (not 18 months from the date of your holiday, I should note).
We had to cancel the trip in the end as the restrictions didn't drop. We asked for a refund and originally weren't provided with one, which in fairness they explained was because they were providing cancellation cover in the event of the trip being cancelled. So part of our policy was 'in effect' from the moment we booked, even though we never ended up having to claim with them.
I saw the logic there, so as a compromise I proposed a partial refund - to cover the parts of our insurance which would never come into effect (possessions, health insurance, etc). They provided this almost immediately, giving us just under half the money back.
I was happy with this refund, particularly as they provided us with nearly a year of cancellation cover which we could have used and bumped the trip on for us cost-free. And it was a cheap policy anyway so we didn't lose much.
I can't speak to actually making a claim with Insuremore as I've never had to do this, but I was happy with the experience they provided and think their customer service seems responsive. As such we're planning on booking with them again next time around.

Purchased single trip cover in October…
Purchased single trip cover in October 2019 (well before I'd even heard about Covid 19 ! ) for a holiday to the USA in May 2020. Holiday got cancelled and moved to 2021. No big deal, as airline company, Disney, car hire company and villa owner have all amended the dates and been incredibly flexible , and although I've had to pay a little more, that is to be expected ! EXCEPT for Insuremore. I wrote and asked whether they would honour the policy for 2021 and I expected that there might be an additional price to pay. Got a straight reply , sorry but your policy has expired and there is no more financial contribution. I know that there are a lot of insurance companies out there that have honoured the policies for future dates, Insuremore isnt one of them !
Avoid this insurance company like the…
Avoid this insurance company like the plague!!
At the start of the pandemic we had an expensive
holiday cancelled and needed some help and advice I rang their helpline on numerous occasions left messages all I got was an answer phone. Finally after many days of trying to get through I was told to go to your website and download a claims form which I did I filled it in and never heard a thing from them!! No phone call... no email nothing.. no response to our claim!! The whole point of holiday insurance is to give the person taking it out peace of mind, that if there’s a problem it’ll be sorted or at least get some advice and support which you they did neither! So to say I’m disappointed with this company is an understatement. Then yesterday I actually had an email from them, not to sort out my claim but to renew my insurance!!!! Cheeky buggers I wouldn’t use this firm if they were giving insurance away for free.

Competitive travel insurance
Was looking for travel insurance and came upon Insuremore's website. The premiums were competitive and reasonable and the insurance provides quite extensive coverage. I chose the single trip but extended the coverage to more than 45 days in case there may be delays in these uncertain times. There was a slight increase in the premium which I thought was reasonable. The webpage was also easy to navigate and the whole application process was a smooth and pleasant experience. Customer service was fantastic. I rang for clarification issues on impact of Covid on the travel plan. I was answered almost immediately. Patrick was very courteous and able to provide professional explanation and advice on the risks/ pitfalls of the Covid travel scenarios and its impact on the travel insurance. I was very much assured by the honesty, sincerity and professionalism of the advice. Would definitely recommend my friends.
