Insta-disapointment

Ordered, received and it wasn't an Instasmile, more of an Instadissapointment. So fake, so white (ordered the ivory, more natural looking). Put straight back in the box. I cannot wear these in public......

Honest Review

Ok so this might be a long review but I want to give my full experience with Instasmile.

I had been looking at this company for a couple of years, watching videos, reading reviews etc before I decided to just go for it and order top and bottom arches. Now I will say it took so long for me to decide because all of the online reviews on YouTube and other platforms were from people who were getting the brightest colour veneers and even though they did look good, I just did not want really bright teeth that didn't look natural, I didn't want to stand out too much considering I rarely even show my natural teeth. And I didn't want veneers to be the focus for everyone to then start asking questions, I'm pretty anxious about my smile and about people commenting. Unfortunately there were barely any reviews of the more natural coloured veneers, the Ivory style. But I went for it anyway and ordered the A2 which are the Light Ivory as I thought that probably wouldn't stand out too much and would look more natural.

I received my impression kit and this for me was the hardest part of the whole process. Everyone in these video reviews tell you how easy it is when actually it's pretty rough, I failed 4 times on both my bottom and tops, now considering you only get 8 goes at it, failing more than one or two times starts to add a bit of pressure to get it right.

Now you have to call them every time you fail and they ask you the same questions every time about placement of your arms, the mould placement, are you still etc etc and tbh while it does get boring hearing the same thing every time I understood it's their job to make sure you're doing things right so they can help you and I will say the customer service was brilliant each person I spoke to on the phone was friendly and very helpful.

I got both of my impressions approved on the 5th attempt. I sent them off in the pre paid packaging provided. With in about 2 weeks I received the veneers.

When I first put them in the first thing I said to my partner was 'I hate them' they looked obviously bulkier than my natural teeth and they were in my eyes still pretty bright.

But this is where you have to be patient and give them a chance. Obviously they are bigger because they are essentially tooth covers so they need to be able to sit over your natural teeth. Now for me this wasnt that bad because my natural teeth are small anyway but I would think if you have naturally big teeth then they may look a little funny.

I left them in for a while and I started to get used to looking at them. I did wish I had gone for the A3 tho just so they weren't as bright but tbh once I was used to seeing them in my mouth I was pretty pleased with my smile.

One thing I will note for anyone thinking of getting these is that they are pretty tight when you first wear them but after a while the tightness will loosen and you won't really notice they are in your mouth.

Now while looking at the veneers I noticed that the clip on one side of my top arch was not fitting correctly over my tooth so I got in contact with them within the two weeks warranty and asked for a replacement, they asked me to send a video of the issue and me putting the arch in and taking it out. I did that and they agreed to send me out another impression kit for my top arch.

Now in the meantime I had an event to go to and wouldn't have my new top arch in time for that so I just wore the one I had, I was nervous wearing them in public but no one said a thing. I think people who know you more will obviously notice but these were people I was meeting for the first time and they didn't know me so I never had any comments asking if I had fake teeth or veneers which I was happy about because I wasn't and am not comfortable talking about that type of thing.

Anyway when I returned my new impression kit arrived and this is where it got rough because I kept on failing my impression to the point where I was worried that I'd never get a go impression so I was leaving it longer and longer before I tried again. I actually failed all 8 times and I was worried I was now going to have to pay for another impression kit but to my surprise they were so nice and just said they would send another one out at no extra charge to me.

Again I got the third impression kit for my top arch and I was so worried that I would fail that I just didn't do my impression for months and considering it was coming up to Christmas I just left it.

I finally decided a few weeks ago to just do the impression and even after I did it and submitted my photo I thought it wouldn't pass as it looked similar to ones that had failed BUT this is why you just submit the impression no matter what because it could still pass and to my suprise it did pass. I now have my new top arch and it seems that my bottom that I stopped wearing has gone a darker colour coz my new top it abit whiter. I actually prefer the darker so hopefully the new top goes that colour.

Overall I am happy

Absolutely no refund if you aren't happy with the result. They will blame you.

My initial concerns were a large gap im my mouth on the bottom as well as crooked teeth. I sent pictures. I paid upfront a lot of money and went through the process. The veneers came and didnt cover my gap. Also I felt they looked super fake and felt very plasticy. I was not happy with them and asked to return and get a refund. They told me the veneers were what I ordered and were made the way I wanted them. Not true. I explained my origional concerns were my gap in my mouth and they should have told me the veneers wouldn't fit my needs. They refused a refund stating they basically held up their end of the bargain and gave me good veneers. What happened to the customer is alway right or let's make the customer happy? I am not happy, i cant use them and $400.00 later, they are collecting dust on my shelf. They wont refund you if youre not happy. You're out of a lot of money if youre not satisfied. Beware!!!

The process was quick and simple

The process was quick and simple. Ordered product. Sent reference pictures in. Mold came in and the instructions were very clear. It took 30 minutes to finish top and bottom molds. Sent those back and one email a few days latter to discuss a few things and a few weeks later the vaneers came in. They fit perfect. Comfortable and look great!

Fantastic service

Fantastic service. I've very bad ground down front teeth so took me while to get hang of moulds. However customer service was fantastic at guiding me through. I gave 4 star instead if 5 as I do feel my top set are a little large looking. I did report it but they said they looked fine. I'm OK with them but would have preferred them to offer to do the top two teeth bit smaller.

I recieved today look like horse teeth my family laughed in my face 😐 was not good would not recommend and my 2 front teeth looked massive very disappointed as I treated myself for my 40th and ended up £200 down and still no more confident

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs! Save yourself money they sent me horse teeth! Don’t fit they’ve cut my gums! Nobody is answering any of my messages!! Do not use this company! Customer service is poor the product is thick plastic!

Quite disappointed by the veneers I…

Quite disappointed by the veneers I received. They look crazy, like a Halloween prop.

There are these three thin long spiky teeth at the front which make no sense.

Feeling Like Me Again

Well I didn’t want to do a remould due…

Well I didn’t want to do a remould due to the hassle iv had , communication was poor , I made it clear I wasn’t happy they looked like clown teeth , rediculous price I paid for what I received, been told today they will still be taking 50% of the cost , on an item that’s in the bin , don’t get ripped off by this company, if any further payments leave my account I will be pulling it back 😡

I place a order and done the payment…

I place a order and done the payment plan, they ask for photos of my teeth which I did, I paid 99 pounds and then they sent the mould kit out the day I recieved my kit I get a email to say my teeth dont line up and was not suitable, they cancel my order and told me I would recieve a refund for the 14days. I then get a email that there only paying ne 54 pounds back as they took 20 pounds for a mould I cant use or send back as it will cost me, and then 25 pounds for a fee for using there payment plan, why send out a mould kit before ok photos is degusting, as u already feel crap your not getting your teeth but u lose 20 pounds too, dont send out moulds untill u ok them I have lost 45 pounds for nothing not happy

A small restocking fee of £20 is charged in the event of a cancellation to cover the kit and shipping costs. For orders on a payment plan, additional fees may apply.

Outstanding customer service

Outstanding customer service. I am beyond grateful that Instasmile was able to send me a replacement pair of teeth because I lost the bottoms a week after i received them, and the top cracked. I appreciate the fast response and getting my smile back was everything!
