Would not do this again. Arrived in Paris on the weekend, so had no support for the first 2 days, the most important. Had thought (and saw as advertised) that Insidr crew would be making recommendations for cool and local happenings. I texted about a parade I learned about, but didn't hear back. The postings they offered once back on the M-F schedule were oddly commercial (an add for an art store several times, arty dandy???). When I asked for information for other cities (Lyon and Marseille) I similarly didn't get much. I use an iPhone and had to spend a fair amount of time figuring out the android. Eventually I thought it would make sense to go to their office and get help. What a fiasco. They are in a building with no sign and a code to get in. Luckily a worker let us in with the code, and we continued to have to wander around bc they are not allowed to have signage in their building. Next, when I explained some of my issues with the phone one of the customer support lads (who was very nice and helpful) noted that the former user had made some changes and they hadn't reset them yet. Are you kidding me? Each time they get the phones back, you would think they would know enough to reset and clear former users settings and info. When using an app to find scooters to rent specifically for the map, I was asked at one point if I wanted to pay for a scooter with a visa that was loaded on the phone. Again? Are you kidding? Someone else's credit card info is on the phone? Naturally, I didn't load any personal financial info and deleted all personalized apps at the end. Last, I traveled with 2 other families and was not able to communicate with them using the android. Big pain in the butt. So, no, don't rent the Insidr phone until they get their glitches fixed. Just get a sim card when you arrive.

Due to carelessness of the staff at CDG, they gave me the wrong envelope( for returning the smartphone from another country ) and I had to go around Europe.
So, 3 stars deducted for giving us the wrong envelope.
And 1 star deducted for letting us walk so far to look for printing shop, in the country we first came, and pay for the replacement.

If we didn't follow your instruction, the smartphone will be delivered to wrong address and we have to be charged EUR200 for your mistake. Good grief (^^*)

Other than that mistake, I can give you 10 stars out of 5.

not recommended the signal was not strong and needed to restart the phone for a few times during my 4days use. On my last day of rental, the connection was even cancelled. I did not recommend to others, on;y plus point, battery could last for a long day

Second year in a row using Insidr while in Europe. Last year while in France and this year in Italy. Both years the devices were great, the pickup (at the airport in Paris or our hotel in Italy) was easy, the service and very easy to use, and return was simple (at the airport in both cases).

Overall my experience was great with the service. After the first day, I had a problem with the initial phone I was given. The team tried to fix the problem over the phone. When that did not work out, a member was dispatched to meet me where I was (Jardin des Tuileries) with a new phone. I travelled through the Southeastern part of France alone with my phone and would not have been able to stay connected, make reservations and find places I was going to without that little device. I used it when the GPS on the car I rented failed. I don’t remember if there was a limitation on the service I signed up for, but in some areas I could not make phone calls. Overall A++++

Very easy. Picked our up at the downtown Paris office. So helpful to have a continuous hot spot as we walked for information on shopping, restaurants etc. good apps on the phone itself. Called back to the states a few times. 3 euros per day is a bargain. Well done.

Insidr Paris was our lifeline during our 11 day road trip from Paris- Loire Valley – Normandy-Paris. Truly efficient! With unlimited 4G and data, the smartphone will be conveniently waiting when you arrive at your first hotel .

It became the WiFi hotspot for all family members throughout our trip and when we needed help late in the evening once, there was a friendly voice on the other end of their call line. The best part of it is we could just keep our own personal smartphones as is, free from downloading additional “new apps” which we would not use after our trip and also conserve our personal phone battery life (from all the ‘Googling’ we were doing throughout the day), to capture the hundreds of photos and many videos of our holiday. 5 stars!

Excellent service / fabulous price. I mainly used the Insidr phone for the hotspot connection to be able to use my own phone, although the Insidr phone offered many services itself such as GPS, ability to surf the internet, take pix, etc. I just used it for the hotspot / wifi. Once, when my own phone was near dying, I used the Insidr phone to Google a question. I will absolutely be recommending Insidr phones and totally will rent one again on my next trip to Paris. P.S. It's probably best to time your post office return for when one is open so you can hand it to an employee as the package is too fat to easily fit through the yellow box opening, which is primarily meant for letters. :)

If you would like to rent a smartphone or need an airport/hotel transfer, this is the company for you. In the past, we have purchased a travel cellphone with service for the area of travel. In every case, the service either barely functioned or didn’t work at all. With INSIDER, we not only got the phone service we desired, but also GPS, a good camera and transportation information for Paris. We also used the phone in four other cities in France without a problem The GPS was something we had never used to navigate a new city on foot and it worked really well. All my questions were answered quickly by email or direct phone conversation. The transfer from and to the airport worked well despite the Paris traffic.

The people serving you at Insidr are so helpful, even to novices with cell phones, like me. Gave great instructions and helped in so many
other ways. I highly recommend this excellent service provider.
The pick up at the airport upon arrival is the best idea, as is retuning in so easy in a yellow post office drop box.

Fast connection, affordable and customer service is beyond expectation. I used this connection rather than the wifi in my hotel.

My trip to Paris was smooth. Thank for INSIDR phone.I can use as MAP, GPS and can share internet to my smartphone. . The phone was sent to my hotel. I sent the phone back at post box at CDG airport before I came back. I would recommend INSIDR to anyone.

Excellent service. The phone was delivered to my apartment and worked flawlessly. I opted to return the phone by mail. It was a little difficult to get it into the post box without breaking it but I finally got it. You used to be able to drop the phone off at the hotel desk for them to mail, but that service is no longer offered, I was told.
I would do this again on my next trip.

This made the biggest difference for us while visiting Paris! The Insidr team was amazing! The phone is loaded with all the apps you need and best of all, it was like carrying a support team in my pocket. Anytime I needed help or had a question, there was someone ready to help and answer all my questions very quickly! I am definitely using their service again in the future. I cant recommend them enough!

This was a lifesaver for me as I didn't have a local SIM card. The streets of Paris are hard to navigate without GPS if you're not familiar with the city. The staff was helpful, professional and responsive and the price is very reasonable. I'd use again for sure.

My family and I were beyond pleased with the service Insidr provided for us in Paris! We were a little stressed out as it was our first trip to France, but Ben and the team made our stress go away because any time we needed help with directions, recommendations, etc. they were just a click away. I don't think we had to wait more than 5 min any time we asked for help. Phone came preloaded with the most helpful apps, especially the public transportation which we used several times a day.
