I WAS ROBBED BY THE CREW THEY HIRED

I WAS ROBBED BY THE CREW THEY HIRED. I moved Out of State and hired Infantry Van Lines because their quote was fair. The final bill was three times the price, plus I WAS ROBBED BY THE CREW THEY HIRED. Physically robbed. They went into my pantry where I had hidden my backpack with my purse and stole my money. A substantial amount of cash. The crew said they were going to take a break and got in their car and left and never came back. After a half an hour I went and checked my purse and sure enough, they had robbed me of my money. I called the police and filled out a police report. I called Infantry Van Lines and requested a copy of their Certificate of Insurance which to date, they have refused to provide. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. The experience was a nightmare. My first night in my new home and I had been robbed by the movers. No cooperation or accountability by this so called "Military" company. Disgraceful.

WARNING ⚠️ DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

They came and picked up my belongings on January 18th and I was promised they would be delivered on the week of the 22nd. It's now February 1st. I'm shipping some things from my home in Tampa to a place u bought in New York City. I've emailed my point person Todd everyday asking for an update on where my belongings are and when I can expect delivery because I'm going to have to fly to New York to meet the delivery guys. He has not responded to any of my many, many emails. I'm staring to think I've been ripped off and they never intended to deliver it. I think this company is a scam, they steal your belongings and you pay them to do it. I'm calling a lawyer and the better business bureau tomorrow. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO HUAL YOUR TRASH.

Excellent

My recent experience with Infantry Van Lines was nothing short of excellent, largely due to Jack and his dedicated crew. From the get-go, they demonstrated professionalism and a commitment to customer service that made the daunting task of moving feel manageable and stress-free. They handled every item with care, ensuring that my belongings arrived at the destination in perfect condition. Not a single piece was damaged or misplaced, which is a testament to their meticulous approach to loading and unloading. Their efficiency and effectiveness in coordinating the logistics of the move were impressive, and communication was clear and proactive throughout the process. Working with Infantry Van Lines was a pleasure, and I highly recommend Jack and his team to anyone looking for a reliable moving service that delivers peace of mind along with your possessions

They lied to me about the cost

I am not sure who will read this email, but I wanted to relay my pure frustration with how we were treated the day of packing for our move.

Jack and his crew showed up and started packing up our house, as you can see we had a quote of a little over $5000. Halfway through the packing, I get a call from Alan who says it’s going to be a little bit more, however, what he did not say was that it would be $10,000 more! I imagined that it would be around $8000 and I would’ve been fine with that, but over 15,000! So I called him and said this was not in our budget, so he gave us a $700 discount . Big whoop!

I have been advised to contact a lawyer about this situation, because $15,000 is astronomical for the move, and was not agreed-upon. Even the driver who delivered our furniture in Missouri saw the paperwork, looked at me and said oh my God they charged you over $15,000 for this move? He was absolutely astonished.

I should have been informed that the price was going to be $10,000 in addition while I was on that phone call with Alan. The only thing he said to me was that it was going to be a little bit more. A little bit more?! You mean $10,000 more! We feel completely taken advantage of and I would never recommend your company again. I will be posting on as many websites that I can find about what happened, and hopefully this won’t happen to anybody else. I can’t believe that you consciously feel good about what you did to us. My husband is a Marine. Your website talks about Veterans. Is this how you treat your Veterans! He’s disgusted.

We are looking for a refund. We would agree to pay $8000 for this move which means we are looking to get back $7000. Please have somebody contact me regarding this, somebody that can actually give me answers and has the authority to do so. I do not want a phone call from Alan. Jack and his crew did a great job packing for us, but even he was surprised at the cost. You guys took full advantage of our situation, and the truck was totally packed by the time I found out the cost. What was I supposed to do? Tell them to take everything off the truck?

Liars!

Liars!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!

I relocated from Florida to Missouri. I spoke to different moving companies and Infantry Van Lines LLC seemed forthcoming over the phone.

Robert is lying salesman, he provided me with a quote that was inaccurate and it increased to over 1200.00 after picking up my items. I tried to call him multiple times, informing them that I removed some items and I wanted to count the total boxes so I wouldn’t be surprised at the moves. He was lazy and didn’t want to do a revision.

The movers arrived a day later and not the scheduled date. One guy arrived and thought he could move everything then he called for help.

Robert informed us that their company has professional movers which is inaccurate. They contact people who are looking to make quick money.

On the day of the first move in date , the information wasn’t explained to be properly so I had to call Robert and he didn’t answer. I called the manager who wasn’t available then lo and behold I called the mover , he. Contacted Alan who is the manager that’s when he called back.

I explained to him that their communication is poor and they are unprofessional if they explain the information properly, we wouldn’t have this issue.

He explained the information so again . I am waiting for my items. I reached out to him on Tuesday, September 7th, he stated the some moving company is loading the truck now. Which was a lie. He told me they’d be delivering the item on Saturday .

On Thursday, September 9th, another person called me. He is from a moving company who picked up the items from Florida , which Robert lied about in the beginning. He called and said they are loading the truck , which Alan lied about on Tuesday. The mover informed that he’s driving an 18 wheeler and he’d like to know if it will fit in my complex. Again I’m confused because this wasn’t explained. I told no that his truck wouldn’t fit. I sent him a video and he said it would be an additional 150.00 -200.00. I politely informed him that I am not paying that.

I called Robert and Alan who of course weren’t available. I spoke to another mover by the name of Jack, he said to wait until the mover arrives and go from there. He informed the mover that if there is a walk up 75 feet are free. I didn’t understand why the mover didn’t look at the contract, this was all a scam and a way to get more money.

On the day of the drop off date, it was a debacle.

The mover arrived , he has his own company and he posted an add on Craigslist to get two Mover’s to help him unload my items. Keep in mind these were supposed to be professional Mover’s.

When the guy arrived, he pulled his truck as close as possible. When before he said he had to walk from the street.

Berman- the mover said this is your balance and I need an additional 150.00 for the walk up. I said I’m not paying 150.00 because that’s not 150 feet. The other two Mover’s are looking at me. One of the guys started it’s always trouble with these out of state Mover’s charging extra. I said, not today. I made the get his measuring tape to count the exact about of feet because he was trying to get over. He measured 82 feet and stopped. I wasn’t near him so I walked closer to him and I told his that’s only 82 feet. I told him he’s a liar and he cannot be trusted. I told him to measure it from the end of the truck and go all the way out to the 100 feet then measure to the door. Finally, we got the correct feet and I said him 75.00 not double the amount he lied about.

Now the next step, I have a flight of stairs I informed him that a flight of stairs are covered. He tried to tell me the first 10 steps are free. I said call the manager because I’m not giving you anymore money . The manager confirmed I was correct. I told the head mover to not say anything else to me because he isn’t a man of integrity.

As they are moving my items in the house, the boxes were torn from being tossed around items were falling out of them, my computer desk was missing pieces and it was ripped apart, my mirror was broken, my dresser was leaning and pieces were falling apart, plates , cups and dishes were broke.

My desk couldn’t be repaired because of how it was disassembled.

I tried contacting the company Saturday of the move. I sent pictures and etc. there was no response. I contacted them Monday, September 11th and sent more pictures of the boxes and items broken no response.

After all of this , if I would have checked these reviews. I would have NEVER USED THIS COMPANY! They should be shut down.

This company is not accredited by the BBB and they are liars -crooks.

Save yourself the time. Moving is already stressful.

Pay more and use a better company.

Never again!

Don’t Use

Don’t Use! They are liars and crooks. My quote doubled the day of the move once my furniture was loaded. It didn’t arrive on time and when it did 1/2 our stuff was missing! Boxes cut open, boxes gone through. The company used sub contractors which they said they didn’t use and on delivery demanded an extra 1500.00. This company straight up lies! Steals and will do nothing for you to retrieve your missing items! They are terrible! Todd was my sales rep! He’s a liar! Don’t use them!

Still waiting for delivery was suppose to be here today
Called and no one has any information.
If we would have know it could be a variation on the delivery date that we were promised by Tom we would have packed differently.
I went with this company because they were x military.
I thought they would be honest and forthright???

MOVE FROM HELL - IF YOU VALUE YOUR POSSESSIONS - FIND ANOTHER MOVING COMPANY

I call only speak about my experiences with Infantry Moving Van Lines. If you are thinking of using this company, please do your self a favor, save yourself some heartache and read my entire review. My husband and I have moved several times and never had any major issues. What attracted us to Infantry Van Lines or Infantry Moving Van Lines ( they have the same address ) was the fact they were operated by ex military people. Since our immediate family has over 100 years in the military...I wanted to support this company. I was told they did not hire subcontractors. This was the first thing they told me that was not true. I was quoted a price, sent pics to my agent of the furniture that was to be moved, price was revised slightly upward when I told agent I was adding some items. I want to emphasis that no one ever came to my home to look at anything. Anyway on moving day, the supervisor of the moving crew said "oh no" we cannot do the move for this price. For one thing he said pics were deceptive about the size of my furniture. My response to that is " Why ask for them - if they are deceptive?" Price ended up being almost 3 times the original quote. I did add some items but definitely not 3 times what was on the original quote. One person on the packing crew said I had been "low-balled" and I think this is true. They get you committed to a low ball rate, have everything ready to go on moving day and then hit you with a huge bill.( The driver actually changed the quote on the spot several times) Because of haggling over the rate our move was pushed back a day - we had to stay in a hotel) At this point we did not have verymany options. My husband had to be in Montgomery AL in 2 days to begin kidney cancer treatment. I must give kudos to the packing crew - but not their supervisor. The crew handled our possessions wonderfully. But, this crew was not the crew that unloaded our possessions at our new home - even though I asked for them to be the ones because they took everything apart and would know how to reassemble. The delivery driver hired local young people - some with no experience and (2) of the young ladies were either girlfriends or wives of the (2) young men. One of the young ladies was pregnant. They immediately started asking me about their tips. It was obvious the driver was in a hurry to unload. He was constantly telling the people unloading to hurry up. My antique dining table was broken (the driver actually walked on it and when I brought to his attention that he was walking on the glass table top he ignored me). The grandmother clock, that I paid extra for them to pack, has a broken leg and a big nick. I currently have a dining room chair leaning against it to hold it up. My master bedroom set has many scratches and dings. My dining room Tommy Bahama bakers rack had the leg broken off. The driver called himself fixing it but the whole thing wobbled. He said it was still ok to use just don't put anything heavy on it. These are only a few things that were damaged. Pictures of all of it were sent to management. Now to the fight that occurred between the delivery driver and his unloading team. It was over their pay. They actually stood by my front door, in full view of my new neighbors, yelling and screaming. I wondered which neighbor was actually going to call the police. It went on for quite some time. Needless to say, nothing was actually reassembled on this night. The driver came back the next day with a friend to reassemble our sleep number bed. ( We had to stay at a hotel because we had nothing setup for us on the day of delivery). As for everything else that needed to be reassembled, the vast majority was done by family and their friends. After much thought I can truly say and believe wholeheartedly that this was "THE MOVE FROM HELL".

DO NOT USE you will be taken advantage of and have items stolen or broke

DO NOT USE. Used them for a move from Florida to SC last sept multiple items broken , missing, and destroyed. Costumer service was rude and unprofessional. Heard nothing but complaints from the driver down to the crew about boxes being too heavy or taking to much time. They continuously refused to give any copies of paperwork and receipts for payments and charged 3xs more then the quoted cost plus drivers refused to load with out being paid a cash deposit

Do not use this moving company

Do not use this moving company! Our move from Florida to Texas started out pretty good but the delivery was a nightmare. They lied repeatedly about the delivery date and the cause of the delays. The final insult was upon arrival in TX, they extorted another $800 before unloading our belongings because their 18 wheeler could not navigate into our new community. They had to rent a Uhaul truck and initially tried to charge us $1600 for it. The owner acted like he was doing us a big favor by reducing it to $800. Use a company you can trust, not this one.

Do NOT use this company

My parents hired this company for a cross-country move. DO NOT use this company. After charging them almost double the agreed-upon amount, most of their items were destroyed. Snacks were eaten, propane tanks were stolen, and 100-year-old family heirlooms were shattered. I would never want this to happen to anyone else. I know there are a lot of positive reviews, but they all seem a little suspicious after seeing reviews that are very similar to what happened to my parents.

Also, their website is not up-to-date, the email to file claims is not in service, the phone number to call for claims is not in service, and the general grammar of the website is atrocious.

A MOVE FROM HELL!!!!

We choose Infantry Van Lines primarily because of all the 5 star reviews. BIG MISTAKE! We moved from Florida to Oklahoma. Robert (our sales rep.) went to realtor.com to see the amount of furniture he had to move. There were detailed pictures and a 360 degree video tour of the house. Robert assured us the move would fit on a 2,000 cubic foot truck with room to spare. The loading crew supervised by Martin were supposed to arrive between 8:00 and 9:00am they showed up 12:27PM with a worker who was sick, running a temperature, vomiting, and obviously had diarrhea, who was also grabbing the handle of the refrigerator, to get water. The crew didn't have water on a hot day. Nor to our understanding, had they eaten. We purchased pizza. I ask Martin to get another helper several times and to keep that sick person away from us and not let him back in the house...except to use the bathroom. Martin replied, something like, oh, I think he was just partying the night before. I told Martin, I didn't want him there in case he had COVID, we and our friend were all older and none of us wanted to be around someone that sick. Martin ignored my request. Finally at 6:14PM someone came and picked up the sick worker. We feel he should have NEVER been brought to a job. . We packed the Kitchen and Garage with U-Haul boxes and boxes from 2 different storage companies. Infantry used very few of their own boxes ( 2 dish packs and a few mirror/glass boxes, some flat perforated cardboard, tape and shrink wrap. We were charged over $1000.00 for “extra packaging”. We were supposed to get a refund for unused boxes - no refund! We used our running car's head lights to shine in the truck for 4 hours. No working dome light!
A laborer named Derrick came the next day to help finish loading. We heard Brandt (loader) telling him how to make up a picture/mirror box....Derrick said he didn't work for Infantry Van Lines. Robert said they use only experienced Infantry Van Line employees and NEVER use day laborers like their competitors do. They couldn't fit all items on the truck as promised!! We had to take the items not loaded to a neighbor's garage and friend's house.

We were told by Allen before we left Florida he wanted a cashier's check for the balance due at delivery. I went to the bank and got the check. Allen wanted an additional $300.00. This $300.00 was NOT on my contract. I had get another cashier's check. This delayed unloading the truck for about an hour as we had to make two trips to the bank. Felix (driver) and his brother arrived at our house in Oklahoma after driving all night. Felix said he has a bad back with scoliosis and had been off work for two weeks (because of his back issues) prior to getting the call to drive this load to Oklahoma, He told us he was sent to Oklahoma by himself, but didn't want to make the long trip alone, so he asked his brother to ride with him. Felix said, they were half way here when he received a call telling him the load was heavy and he was to unload it. Felix said, later, they had to stop at a weigh station finding out the truck was not properly marked and didn't have proper stamps or something to that effect. (We didn't understand.) Saying the truck was going to be impounded and everything in it. His brother had the money to pay the fine, and they were released.
There had been a leak on the truck when they passed through a rain storm around Memphis. Boxes were wet and since the truck's floor had not been swept out when Martin supervised the loading, dirt had stuck on the wet boxes and on the shrink wrap around one of the couches. What a mess to clean up as it fell off the couch wrap in the house. About 1/3 through unloading Felix had discovered there was not a four wheel dolly to use to unload the heavy items. We loaned them two dollies. They had just gotten the sideboard with the marble top in the house and realized it had been packed upside down without packing on the top when Felix's phone rang. ( It was our understanding it was his boss), telling him to get that truck unloaded and get back on the road to Florida, there was another load for him to drive. He seemed very distraught putting his head down on his arm on the bottom of the sideboard. . He said I have been driving all day and night getting here and now they are telling me to get back on the road and drive back to Florida. Our pastor prayed for Felix and got 6 men from our church to help unload the truck it took them until 9:30pm to finish unloading (It was a jumbled up mess). The truck wouldn't start so our pastor cleaned the battery terminals and got it started. The truck has NO working heater and reverse is going out.
We feel Felix was set up for failure. The was NO WAY one person could unload the truck!!

WE NOW HAVE TO MAKE ANOTHER TRIP TO FLORIDA TO GET THE ITEMS LEFT BEHIND BECAUSE THE TRUCK WASN'T LOADED PROPERLY!!

WHAT A RIP OFF!!

Words cannot express my…

Words cannot express my dissatisfaction; on the scheduled move date, they never made it in their allotted 3 hour time frame.. in fact that did not make it at all that day. They rescheduled for the next day, and the same thing happened. They never made it. This consumed
An entire weekend. They rescheduled for Wednesday the following week promising great service and communication. They came this time and the guys were very nice. However, they hit a tree leaving my neighborhood and the truck had to be towed with all of my possessions in it. My son saw it happen or I dont believe I would have even known. I felt badly for them and made sure the guys were ok. However, that’s where any good rapport ends. That was two weeks ago. My son and I spent Christmas in North Carolina in freezing weather with no furniture, and no scheduled delivery date. I have left several messages with no response. I spoke with Allen and Robert, apparently two of the managers, who state I will hear back from them and never do. My
Son has been sick with Covid and sleeping on an air mattress on the floor. This is unacceptable and the worst of it all is their refusal to talk to me and let me know when to expect our belongings.
