Do not buy. One of if not the worst customer service in history. Products are garbage. Entire company is a joke.
I have a Flex 1500. It was great when it charged and recently it stopped charging at all. I reached out for support via email and phone for months with ZERO responses. My back up battery has now become a glorified paperweight. The emails show that they've been read so why the silence?
We bought the Apex in early 2020. Used primarily as UPS for computer however taken camping for 6 weeks total since purchase. On/off switch/disk failed. Called Inergy to request repair. They declined. They have NO parts available. No recommendations. NO SERVICE. Local shop unable to source disk portion of on/off switch. WE HAVE A $1000 BOAT ANCHOR.
I still have my original Kodiak which still works great. This company USED to be great and supportive and the customer service was excellent.
Fast forward about 5 years later after I've bought it and I don't think there's anyone even minding the store anymore.
A small company that used to be great but now seems to have gone downhill.
Took time to recieve the Flex1500. It was a decent unit at the time and was sold at a premium with a 30year warranty. Called and couldnt even get the locking switch replaced. Now it looks like they packed up shop. Unfortunate timing with covid lockdowns and supply change shortages. Its unfortunate for everyone.
Consider this a warning to all possible customers of Inergytek. I ordered my Flex Tactical kit in November of 2023 and to date is still unfulfilled. I have had a home built in less time. My guess is they are more interested in filling their government contracts than the contracts of the general public. I have been patient to the point of wanting to book space at a rage room to vent my frustrations. Customer service has been professional when they finally respond (generally around 7-10 days). Like other reviews have stated the responses have simply been apologies and later ship dates. I have gone from January of 2024 delivery to April to October to December now its been pushed to late February. I guess we will find out in March when i email them again for an update.
Updates without having to request them would ameliorate the frustration slightly. I own over 4000 equity shares in this company and to date feels like the worst investment I have made. I can't review the actual products because I don't have them, so this is not a knock on the actual product. This is simply an review of the company. I would suggest not offering to the general public until you have the facilities and infrastructure to fulfill orders in a timely manner (which is obviously way less than the 14 month wait I am currently experiencing). Really want to like this company but my experience has been truly abysmal.
Our company purchased a battery in 2023 and we still have not received it. We have tried calling and emailing but we never get any response.
Purchased a Flex 1500, as of right now, it performs as it should. That was the first purchase. Impressed enough to purchase a second battery and the MPPT Supercharger. Took over a year to get both. Both perform as they should. The final purchase was 3 mc4 to ec8 cables. Still have not received them. Customer service was good to start with. Delays began. Now no contact. No answering phone calls or emails.
From my perspective they as a company have been surpassed by the competition in providing a better product or a lower cost alternative.
Update 12/23/2024: Received 3 mc4 to ec8 cables unexpectedly in the mail. Emailed on 12/20/2024 that items were shipped but no explanation as to why the delay nor apology for situation.
I own 3 inergy products. Their original Kodiak. Then I got their Flex 1500 with 2 batteries (when it came out.) Their CEO even made trips around the country (including us) to get a first hand reaction and ideas from customers. When they came out with the Tactical Flex, developed for the US military, we got one and hooked it up to a transfer box. This is one of the best companies EVER that i\I have dealt with. Questions? You can talk directly to their engineers. Fabulous service. (But I dealt directly with the company, not a 3rd party.) I don’t understand these other bad reviews. I have two friends with Inergy solar generators too. Their experience is as mine.

I agree with others. They said they shipped the $3k+ unit. The fedex numbers they provided only show the unit being returned to their own location. Then they tell me that it was "stolen" sorry... No recourse, nothing. I cant get anyone to answer phone calls or emails. This is a terrible company. Find another solar generator, please save yourself the hassle.... I'm out more than $3k!
Same experience as many others. Ordered an additional battery. Over a year now and still no product after taking my money. Tried over a dozen times to get an answer and all I get is a run-around and empty promises on ship dates. If I could give this company less than 1-star I would immediately. Stay far away. I'm going to pursue a claim against them.
AVOID THIS COMPANY: PRODUCTS DON'T SHIP, PRODUCT ISSUES DIFFICULT TO DEAL WITH.
They may offer "SALES" on products, you buy into their eco system, of stackable batteries, but it has the look of a scam of a company. They keep pushing out shipping dates, i ordered a product in time for summer camping season. It never shipped, its winter now, no ship date, its always "next month." I ordered a station and a battery and got it fairly rapidly upfront, then realized i needed more batteries. Ordered 2 more, but its been almost 6 months and nothing shipped! Opened a ticket with support, and have had to get more aggressive with them about why no product. Over 10 emails back and fourth about where the product is, i'm out of the charge back period for my credit card and out of more then 1.5K USD. Don't buy into this company in the first place, i regret the system i have is not compatible with any other products. Its developed a problem, i use it for my CPAP, but it powers off and doesn't see the battery every couple of hours and is not reliable. When my CPAP loses power, it wakes you up and you feel like you are suffocating. This company is scammy, go elsewhere, i don't know where else one should go but stay away! The battery and stack design has fragile components, can't see any damage but something is wrong and its impossible to deal with them. I may just send the whole thing to e-waste and buy a replacement system from another company or build my own.
My flex 1500 won't reset its self and I can't get a hold of anyone with email called was put on hold for over 45 minutes ,had to get back to work
Looking for information on their products. Called multiple times but nobody answers phone. Having second thoughts…
I bought their original Kodiak unit. It does work as advertised. Was looking to buy another one but took one star away because the customer service wasn't where it should be.
