Excellent caring and guiding

Disgusted to have gotten the bill for my lab work which was several thousand dollars MORE than they told me it would be. These people are worse than conventional medicine as they are more expensive and didn't do a damn thing to actually diagnose me. Would report them if they were still in business

My appointment got delayed and cancelled. My doctor quit after one appointment. Ordered tests and they never came - had to follow up multiple times. Overall not good service.

They don’t answer the phone or emails anymore. This company took my money for months without providing a service. When I first signed up it was great I had a Drs appointment but then they refuse to let me make appointments for follow ups. You cannot just make an appointment with a Dr or other healthcare provider. They have to invite you to schedule an appointment. They have not allowed me to do so for the last 3 months. Cancelling 2 appointments that I waited over a month for and then not allowing me to reschedule. The availability of appointments is like 1 or 2 days a month to begin with. I’ve sent emails and I have called with no response. Something is suspicious as my dr left this company and she was very good. I’ve asked to cancel with no reply. Be very careful because it is a really expensive service and not worth what I paid. I’m going to find an alternative functional medicine provider.

Apparently it is no surprise to index the true cost of the lab work. Mine was $5000. I would never have subscribed to this service had I known. It wouldn't cost you anything to give members a heads up. Then members could work with their in network MD to get the labs ordered and covered by insurance. Sorry to say I will be warning people about index instead of giving referrals. Also the attempted price (and almost immediate withdrawal) hike was shady

I initially had high hopes for this practice based on their marketing and testimonials. Having found Functional Medicine helpful in the past, I was looking for a practice with multiple practitioners to ensure continuity of care if someone left. Unfortunately, there has been a lot of turnover here—I’ve lost two doctors and a health coach in a short period.

When I first joined, the monthly fee was $199, which was reasonable. However, just a few months later, they increased it to $299, adding unlimited health coaching to justify the added expense. Despite the higher cost, they recently reduced the appointment time with doctors that comes with membership from 60 minutes to 45 minutes, which felt like a downgrade rather than an improvement. I no longer see the value in their services.

One of the doctors (who is now leaving) was consistently well-prepared, thoroughly reviewed my chart, and had a treatment plan ready for each visit. Unfortunately, the other doctor (also leaving) was often late, didn’t seem to read my chart, and made errors in my records. It felt like I had to be the one to ask all the questions, which is not what I expected from a professional.

The dietitians seem overworked and rely on outdated training, which has resulted in a lack of personalized and custom guidance that I expected from a Functional Medicine practice. After a year of paying monthly, I’m left without a resolution to my symptoms, despite following a whole food diet, taking the recommended supplements, and avoiding foods flagged by lab tests and an elimination diet.

While they advertise a root cause approach, when I asked what was behind the diagnoses I received, they were unable to provide an answer or offer any treatments that actually alleviated my symptoms. This was especially frustrating, as I expected a Functional Medicine practice to have a clear understanding of the underlying issues and a plan to address them.

Overall, the high turnover, increased costs, reduced appointment times, and inconsistent care have led me to lose confidence in this practice. I’m disappointed and will be looking elsewhere for my healthcare needs.

I was NOT a success story. When joining Index, I was told that 'most people' do this for about 6 months with success. I've been a member for 9 months and although there were some aha moments, I don't feel as if I got the answers I hoped for. Most everyone was warm and friendly and responses were timely. But the cost went up 50% a few months in and there may have been an email, I never saw it nor did I have to approve the increase. Recently, they sent notification that appt times were being reduced so 'less' service for more money. The membership is cost-effective or comparable to a concierge medical practice BUT the lab fees were excessive as most insurance doesn't cover all the testing. They are definitely thorough but want to re-do labs every 3-4 months. I spent more on labs than I did on membership. Again, without real answers. Some answers validated what I knew. The 'team' involved was overall helpful. LOVED the mental health coach (I had Jenn) who was always friendly and encouraging. I felt a bit 'dismissed' when asking to suspend my membership to give myself a break. There is a wealth of information on the portal but maneuvering through it all is clunky.

I am a relatively healthy 69 year old with the objective of improving my overall health. Understanding my diet, improving my gut health and eliminating debilitating leg cramps. With the help of Dr. Andrews, dietician Holly and my health coach Jennifer, my leg cramps are gone as is my sugar addiction and I have made improvements in my overall health. They are a great team and I am so glad I found them.

Finally, functional medicine that's affordable! I was doing a lot of self treatment and research because I couldn't find an affordable functional medicine doctor in NY. Needless to say, Index Health Clinic seemed heaven sent. I love my doctor, JP. She truly gets me and understands the non-conventional holistic practices I am into. She is also very supportive and knowledgeable. I feel confident that she can get me through these chronic ailments.

Absolutely everyone has been extremely kind and have had meaningful conversations that help with my care. Each person on the team has provided different insights that Help me better understand what is going on with my health.

I cannot say enough positive things about Index Health and Dr. Campbell. After struggling with Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) for months, I finally found relief thanks to their expertise and care.

I am so grateful for the care and guidance I received from this dedicated team, and I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of gastrointestinal health support.

Dr LeMay and his team are exceptional. Quick to reply in the portal with any concerns. The customer service is great, get back to you quickly and always willing to help. Dr LeMay is one of the most knowledgeable people I have had the pleasure of meeting. I'm always impressed how much he knows on so many different subject. Most importantly, I feel that he truly cares about my health and has been a great help to me on my auto immune journey.

I have been wanting to get to the root cause of my acid reflux and heartburn for many years however my doctor kept telling me to lose weight. I knew there was more to it than my weight so I sought out index health for help. Index health ran a battery of tests and found that I was sensitive to dairy and eggs as well as having Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and advise me to go gluten-free. It has been four months and my acid reflux and heartburn are gone. It turns out it was not my weight, but my stomach was a mess. Thank you, Dr. K. and Holly for steering me into a new diet and lifestyle that will keep me from having reflux and heartburn. I would highly recommend this team for getting to the root cause of any symptoms. They are highly trained and easy to talk to. I was very comfortable and trusted their knowledge.

Not only is the pricing reasonable, but the expertise and knowledge of Dr. Taylor is truly amazing. This is the future of medicine! The current system is not about healing but functional medicine is ALL about understanding your body and healing it naturally AND IT WORKS. It works better than anything else you've tried. If you`re expecting a pill that makes you feel better temporarily for 4 hours at a time, keep looking. If you want to gain valuable insight into your own unique body and health and empower yourself to heal within, this is the place for you.

I was pretty much hopeless, I had done as much of my own research as I could because traditional medicine was more harmful than helpful for me and every new traditional doctor or specialist I saw was just another hopeless dead end.

Dr Taylor listened, and understood my issues almost immediately. He confirmed with detailed labs and blood work and identified the issues. Then prescribed various supplements, diet and exercise as needed, clearly explaining to me the exact purpose of everything, what to expect, and how it would help.

Within weeks I could see the light at the end of the tunnel and a year later I am a different person. I never thought this was possible but it really is! Stop wasting time and call them now!

Index Health- a refreshing return to Health Care. I am a nurse who has struggled with symptoms for many years. Dr. Mayes and his team were amazing. I got tired of playing games with the VA, I felt horrible all the time, and now I finally have some answers. What would have taken over a year with the VA and still probably wouldn't have gotten to the root causes, took less than 3 months with Index. I still have a long way to go, but at least I have a direction, I am very grateful.

I've just started with Index Health and am very impressed. I did the work requested and it made the first consult with the Dr very productive. I learned more about my health in that first 60 mins than I have in the last 4 years. Very grateful to have found Index Health.
