Defunct Trading Platform for Demo Period. Unfair Terms for Passing.

I opened a prop account for $100,000. I failed the demo period because of their policy on a 0.5% change in value every 3 days. I have a problem with this company because of the way their demo account is setup, they make it impossible to pass the damo period. They do not allow extended hours trading in premarket or after hours and do not allow shorting. I am short biased, so that is just how I trade in my real account. They have a 4 minute delay from the real time and sales and the chart. The web browser has a spinning wheel switching between tabs and trying to enter orders for about 10 seconds. Having to switch between the tabs and enter values in all the fields then switch to other tabs to look at my open orders, it's annoying to a point where I just can't even trade. On top of that it's paper, so it's taken out of my time I could be trading in my real account. I don't think it's worth the approximately $500 to open and I don't want to pay $200 more to have it reset or re-opened. They need to fix their demo platform to make it possible to trade the same as the real version. I'd consider them a scam company after this experience.

Hi Robert,

We are sorry to hear you had a frustrating experience, and get how discouraging it can feel when you put time and money into an evaluation and it doesn’t work out the way you hoped. That said, a few of the points in your review don’t line up with how the program and platform actually operate today, and I want to clarify for the sake of accuracy for other traders reading this.

Per the FAQs, all traders are eligible to have their first inactivity failure waived upon request, so a single inactivity issue doesn’t automatically mean you’re forced to pay for a reset. The consistency rule is based on a five-day period, not three days, and it’s clearly outlined in the evaluation rules. Shorting is allowed on the platform, so short-biased traders are not restricted from trading their preferred direction. Market data is real-time for PINK, AMEX, NYSE, and NASDAQ exchanges, so there is no built-in delay on those feeds.

Regarding the platform itself, earlier performance issues and bugs were a fair concern, but those have been identified and resolved. The platform has been updated to improve stability, responsiveness, and order entry so that traders can focus on execution rather than fighting the interface.

Such a scam

Such a scam, I’ve opened a starter 50K eval account and has contact support multiple times on asking why I’m not able to access the trading platform and still never get an answer from them. If I can choose again, I will definitely not choose them.

Hi Vincent,

Sorry to hear about the frustration you experienced. We checked our support logs regarding your Starter 50K evaluation account, and your ticket was responded to and taken care of during market hours on the same day it was submitted.

If you were still having trouble accessing the platform after that response, it may have been due to a setup step being missed or an email landing in spam, but our team did reply and provided the information needed to resolve the access issue.

Absolute joke

I was hopeful about these guys and initially their customer support was super responsive. Last week on Monday my account was disabled for trading and my evaluation labeled "failed". After emailing them because it was an absolute impossibility with the positions and sizes I had open to be in enough drawdown to fail, they left me know it was some kind of error on calculation and my account would be active again. An entire week has passed and I've gotten no response to multiple emails because my account is still inactive. I will be initiating a charge back from my bank and personally making it my mission to flood YouTube and all social media with just how much of a sham this operation is! Wish I could find out exactly where the headquarters is located... FAFO

good concept

firstly i liked the concept of options trading in a propfirm but the major problem i am facing currently is the platform doesn't actually calculate the profits properly and there are more problems i tried to use covered call strategy the options are expired in the money but the stocks didn't go away and i am unable to sell any options to use the strategies even though it says level 4 option strategies but surprisngly the support is fast they respond promtly and they promised to fix the issue of selling the options soon i will change the review if they fix that and i would like to suggest to move live traded accounts to IBKR just like maverick traders does so that the traders can show their 100% potential

Imperial pays out & they are making great improvements

To start, yes, Imperial does pay out.

Their customer support has been a pleasant surprise. They actually reach out when things apply to you directly, it's not always bulk announcements. Responses come relatively quickly, the emails are clear, and everyone I’ve interacted with has been polite and professional.

The dashboard and website, on the other hand, are in a rough state. There are no metrics or charts showing drawdown, profits, trade history, etc. I do believe this is WIP, and it doesn't really affect your trading performance if you know what you're doing.

There is one trading rule that is very frustrating - the four-day inactivity policy. Something like a two-week window would be far more reasonable. I’m consistently profitable and would like the freedom to trade as the market conditions dictate.

I did receive my first payout and I am being moved to a “live” account, which is currently in progress. It sounds like the trading experience is being grealty improved upon.

These are my honest thoughts at the moment. The biggest thing is that I did, in fact, get paid, and that does matter. Imperial has enormous potential, and if they refine the experience and take feedback seriously, they could build something incredible. I genuinely hope they do, because right now they’re the only options prop firm worth trading.

Thank you, Imperial, and I’d love to be in contact and help out, trading is my thing.

Hi Mitch,

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a detailed and honest review. We always appreciate hearing feedback on how we can improve as a company, both in terms of the platform experience and the visual side of things. Your input genuinely helps us grow, and we’re taking all of it into consideration moving forward.

We did want to clarify a couple of the points you mentioned:

Regarding your payout:
Based on our internal email records, we issued you an Instant Funding account as a replacement for your original evaluation account due to the ETNA issues you experienced. Because the replacement account was an Instant Funding account, the payout rules for Instant Funding applied, including the $1,000 maximum first-payout cap. For that reason, the system processed the $1,000 amount correctly.

Regarding your transition to a live account:
While your account is being transitioned to live status, you do not need to continue trading. You’re totally fine to sit back, relax, and let the process complete, there’s no requirement to trade or meet any four-day activity rule during this period. We want to make sure that part is clear so there’s no added stress on your end.

Again, thank you for the thoughtful review and for trading with us. We truly appreciate your skill, your patience, and your willingness to share feedback. If you’d ever like to stay in touch or help us continue improving, we’d love that.

Best,
Imperial Trader Funding Support

1/5 Stars – Imperial Trader Funding

I’ve been trading prop firms for over three years (FTMO, FundedNext, The5ers, Alpha Capital, etc.) and have passed several challenges with real funded accounts. I’ve mostly traded futures, but when I saw Yummers (YouTuber) heavily promoting Imperial’s “Instant Funding” as a way to finally get into funded options trading with no evaluation and a one-time fee, I thought this was the perfect next step. I was really excited.

I feel gutted writing this. I ignored the earlier negative reviews because support kept replying with the same “it’s in the terms” script. I should’ve listened.

Here’s what actually happens:
1. Their Instant Accounts are NOT instant funding. You start on a simulated account (never mentioned upfront) with a hidden 12% profit target ($3,000 on a $25k account) just to request a payout… that’s capped at $1,000. You literally can’t take out the full amount you “earned.”
2. Options fills on ETNA are brutal. You sell at the bid, buy at the ask almost every time. Anything wider than a few cents is impossible. Credit spreads, debit spreads, calendars, butterflies; strategies I know work on other funded accounts are basically dead here.
3. Unrealised drawdown uses bid/ask marks, so a tiny quote move can wipe your daily or trailing limit even if the position is fine.
4. The platform froze mid-trade (same exact trade filled instantly on two other brokers) and blew the account. They refused reset or refund.
5. They confirmed in writing it was a one-time payment… then I had my card charged again a month later. I had to freeze it as they have been so dishonest I'm scared they would continue to charge me.

Imperial support will almost certainly reply here with one of their ChatGPT-style answers full of “—” dashes and the exact same robotic phrasing. That’s exactly how they convinced me to ignore the warnings last time.

Please don’t fall for it like I did.
I’m now filing complaints with the FTC, California AG, and BBB. (You don't have to be an American citizen to do so.) If you’ve had similar experience, please report them too. The more of us who do, the better chance we have of shutting this down and protecting other traders.

There are so many honest prop firms out there that actually let you trade options on proper platforms. I wish I’d stuck with them instead.

1 star, and I’m genuinely heartbroken I fell for it.

This is one of the worst prop firms out…

This is one of the worst prop firms out there. ETNA is the platform they use and it does not reflect the live P&L of your positions. It makes it difficult to track intraday trailing drawdown. When I showed video proof of the platform lagging behind and not reflecting my proper P&L they didnt do anything to help me out. They said it updates in your dashboard but that makes it difficult for traders who need to make quick informed decision when scalping options. Would not recommend this prop firm. Their support is garbage. They need you to fail and blow accounts. I talked to ETNA and they have updated their platform but Imperial funding does not use the updated ETNA platform because it would make it easier for traders to pass. Stay away from this firm.

Hi Sufyan,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback — we genuinely do want every trader to have a smooth experience, so I want to clarify a few important points.

ETNA does reflect your live, intraday P&L. What updates at the end of the day (EOD) is your trailing drawdown value, because our firm uses an EOD-based trailing system. This is intentional, and it’s clearly outlined in the rules so traders can plan their risk accordingly. Your live P&L is always visible on ETNA while trading. Our dashboard is responsible for calculating and displaying the updated drawdown limit, which is why that part updates EOD.

Regarding the platform:
We use the most current version of ETNA’s paper trading suite. They confirmed that all updates relevant to the paper environment we use are fully active. There is no “older version” being used to make anything harder — that’s simply not accurate.

As for your previous ticket, we reviewed the video and your logs. The account failed because the rules were breached, not because of a platform error. We understand that losing an account can be frustrating, but the system functioned correctly based on the parameters of your plan.

We’re here to help traders succeed, not fail — that’s why we offer full transparency on every rule. If you’d like us to review anything further or clarify any part of the rules, we’re more than happy to assist.

Best regards,
Imperial Trader Funding Support

Imperial Trader Funding is completely fake

This company is completely fake. They also partnered with a trading firm called ETNA, which offers a web trading platform, but the real quotes are missing, and I have multiple screenshots to support my claim. Please do not enroll with this firm, even if they allow free enrollment. I am consulting my lawyer to file a lawsuit against Imperial Trader Funding and ETNA to recover my money.

Hi Alex,

ETNA does provide live quotes for the NASDAQ, AMEX, PINK, and NYSE markets. If you are seeing missing or delayed quotes on your end, please contact our support team so that we can get to the bottom of the issue.

We’re more than willing to review the screenshots you mentioned. Please feel free to send them over, and we’ll walk through what you’re seeing and help identify the cause.

We understand frustrations can happen when trading technology doesn’t behave the way you expect, but we can assure you we are fully operational, legitimate, and here to support you.

They might as well shut this shit down lmao all their “Real reviews” are all 1 star reviews lmao rebrand or something fix those bogus rules, change that 80/20 profit split allow traders who are funded to withdraw their profits instantly they shouldn’t have to reach a profit target and be limited to only 50% of the capital they’ve made that’s not right and if yall wanna get traders to use this firm you need to re evaluate like asap
