Thank you for your outstanding services

I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to do so in this case because the Imperial Moving and Storage team truly deserves recognition for going above and beyond to ensure a fantastic moving experience.
I had just secured a new apartment and needed to move quickly, but I had a tight budget and a lot of stuff to move. After calling several companies, none could accommodate my budget, and some didn’t even have insurance. That’s when my wife suggested I contact this company. The manager was upfront and honest, working with me on my budget and offering helpful advice on making the move more affordable. He provided a flat rate and explained different strategies for moving within my price range.
I expected movers that matched my budget, but I was amazed when a team of enthusiastic workers arrived and got the job done efficiently and professionally. Zaur, Anthony, Denis, and Artem, I still remember how much fun you guys had working together and how much you enjoyed the process. Thank you for making this a memorable experience.
If you need a moving company, look no further. Contact Imperial Moving and Storage—you won’t regret it!

Thank you to Zaur at Imperial Moving and Storage for taking excellent care of my belongings and leading the team with such expertise. Your friendly approach made the entire process seamless and stress-free.

Thank you, Anthony, for your professionalism and warm demeanor. You made the move a smooth and pleasant experience. Imperial Moving and Storage is fortunate to have you.

Artem, I am grateful for your kindness and attention to detail during the move. Your professionalism made everything go perfectly, and I’m glad Imperial Moving and Storage has you on board.

Denis, thank you for going above and beyond with your professionalism and care. My move was smooth and hassle-free, and I appreciate your excellent work at Imperial Moving and Storage.

Goods delivered undamaged, but never again

They delivered my goods undamaged and followed instructions on how to move a library of hundreds of books. Yet I will never hire them again because of the complete lack of communication between front office and the movers. They put on a full-press charm offensive, made lots of promises, communicated almost nothing. The result: a running argument with the movers for three straight days. Lesson learned. Never again. Btw, the first thing the movers will tell you after “hello” — and before they pack even a doorstop — is “20 percent tip not included.” Charm offensive was over.

I had the unfortunate experience of…

I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Kevin Tapia from Imperial who is not only a liar but disrespectful and insulting. If you even have the slightest audacity to get mad regarding their lies about whether or not they subcontract to other movers for long distance moving he calls you emotional, if you are in fact a woman. So not only is he a liar and condescending and passive aggressive he is also a misogynist sexist who believes that women can only be emotional and then proceeds to hang up on you. And if you call back because you deserve a conversation for the money that you have spent and they are still holding your belongings in another state by a SUB CONTRACTOR he continues to pick up and hang up the phone like a child and will then have the nerve to turn around and call you one. When you ask him to speak to his manager he tells you that there’s no one else but him. if you ask him if he’s the owner he will say no. And when you ask for the name of the owner he tells you his name is Sammy but he is in Israel. He tells you that you can’t speak to him and he will not provide you with the last name for you to find him. Mario Nunez was the selling agent who started this lie about not using subcontractor to convince you to go with their service. Kevin will then tell you I guess you didn’t read the contract to deflect from selling lies and having deplorable behavior

I'm surprised this company is still in…

I'm surprised this company is still in business. If you are moving Do NOT! I repeat DO NOT use them. They take an estimate.. then charge an additional fee in our case they claimed their truck couldn't fit on our block so they went and got a u haul truck told us the cost of the truck was an additional $550 we showed proof to the credit card company that the truck was able to fit. We also requested a bill from them showing us proof that the cost of the u haul was $ 550. They are scammers and need to be put out of business period!

Horrible Experience

I was quoted one flat rate to move light furniture, clothes and kitchenware. They were supposed to pack and move the items to my storage. They arrived 4 hours late, brought no boxes and started moving at the speed of light. Needless to say, I had to pack myself on a fly. I was asked for $600 additional cost for no apparent reason. Horrible experience, high stress and lost lots of important things. Sent a message to the suave Mario, the one who quoted the move and sent the contract. didn't receive any reply. It is my opinion that this company has no client satisfactions in mind.

This company has been so difficult to…

This company has been so difficult to work with. They were originally so accommodating, we were moving from NY to Florida and our building wasn’t ready yet. We figured it made the most sense to store our belongings with Imperial, since they were the ones doing the move. They gave us a month free of storage which was great.
When it came to delivering our move, of course there were hidden fees. They charged a long distance fee, and everything had to be paid in cash. The movers who delivered were extremely rude.
We had some items that were broken and their process to file a claim is ridiculous. I’ve been trying to get a hold of their only customer service person Kevin Tapia. When I call - they say he’s available. The second I give them my name he’s suddenly unavailable. He’s ghosting my calls. He sent me an email saying he can help only over email. Which is so unprofessional. I’ve had a few other friends tell me they’ve had horrible experiences with this company as well. Please let this be the review you actually listen to and look elsewhere!

Imperial Freight is a dishonest company

The basic problem with Imperial Freight (IF) is that they are liars from the minute you get them on the phone, and I believed them. I was moving my household from NM to FL. IF reps confirmed they were an interstate moving company and gave me a "binding quote" on my move, after an extensive phone call and inventory. It turns out they are not a moving company, but a broker which is quite a bit different. The prices they quote are not binding, either. After quoting their "binding rate", IF looks for a real moving company to do your move. Days before the moving date, IF calls you with another quote, usually twice the original one. They still don't explain that this quote (an estimate, really) comes from another moving company. In my case, both the moving and storage prices were more than double the original quote and there was really no option but to proceed; then complain. I had to move out of my place. IF blew me off when I asked for an explanation, and for a refund of the overage charges. It was only after reading lots of reviews (too late for me!) that I understood the whole situation of the moving v brokers issue. But I'm not giving up. I discovered that federal trucking regulations require that IF is required tell you they are a broker on the very first contact, and to offer you a list of movers for price comparisons. I have filed claims with the attorney general offices in NM and FL and will keep pursuing. At least one of those AG offices said they will take it up. I have copied all the negative reviews I could find and have sent them to the AG's, too. The complaints are just like mine...no broker information, misquoted prices and worse. I invite anyone else with similar experiences to contact me so we can get more attention from the AG. I hope my email is available to other users of this site

My 32" LG PC Monitor got damaged (the…

My 32" LG PC Monitor got damaged (the screen is cracked) during the move that Imperial Movers workers performed on 5-5-22.
I told employees on 3 separate occasions that my Monitor had to be treated with special care (nothing on top of it, don't throw it) and they all knew about it.
I saw from my apartment window how poorly Imperial Movers employees handled my Monitor at the time they were unloading the truck: They let it drop by gravity over other box and then put another heavy box on top of my Monitor when I SPECIFICALLY TOLD IMPERIAL MOVERS TO NOT PUT ANYTHING ON TOP OF IT.

Now my 32" Monitor is broken, I am not disappointed and angry.

I want my 32" Monitor to be replaced and paid by Imperial Movers for gross mishandling of my belongings. However, reading their email entitled "Your Basic Insurance Coverage" I have the impression that Imperial Movers will wash their hands out of the responsibility and not pay.

If you want your stuff to get broken and not be compensated hire this company, otherwise do yourself a favor and find someone else.

Horrible Interstate Moving Service

This review is about their interstate moving. Do not use their services. It's been a month since they picked up my stuff. They sent me an ETA for delivery then said the truck broke down. They sent another ETA and now the drivers have COVID. I have been waiting for nearly a month to receive my stuff. Not worth the price. Go with another service.

I've been homeless for 30 days waiting for Imperial to move a simple one-bedroom apartment to South Carolina. A one-bedroom apartment, that's it.

I totally believe the Covid because the workers did not pack my stuff up with masks on. I was the only one in the apartment wearing one. No precautions were in place at all.

They have ruined Christmas for five people and two are out of airfare because their tickets a nonrefundable. One was planning on spending Christmas with his newborn, the other has two toddlers he will miss Christmas with, and the other has a grandmother on life support in ICU who he wanted to visit for Christmas. They are all stuck in South Carolina because of Imperial.

Got ghosted by Kevin Tapia and Savva Zharenov who told me that I'd receive a discounted rate for each day they were outside the delivery window. Still waiting to hear from them. The worse. Go with another service.

The worst moving company ever!!

The worst moving company ever!!! I contacted IMPERIAL MOVERS through ANGIES 'S LIST so I thought they will be fine but I was wrong!
FELIX, the Customer service rep that attend to me was very pleasant and even estimated more than I had told him just to make sure. I deposited $50 as requested and it will be deducted from my fee of $960.
On the day of the move, the foreman came late, the driver was here on time but doesn't speak much English. After several calls the driver decided to come up and I should stay outside with the Truck. But I have to show him the apartment and open the door for him. Latter on the foreman came and he said sorry am late, I live in Brooklyn but just to let you know you are going to pay more money. I replied No!
To cut the long story short. Everything was moved into the Truck and I left to catch my train, which I missed, had to buy another ticket at a higher price. My son was expecting the MOVERS in DE. Everything FELIX told me was a lie!!! The foreman will NOT unload until I pay $1305.00 instead of $910.. After arguing and screaming back and forth, the Storage Manager came by and just stood to listen to what was going on..It was not a good encounter!! the driver and foreman turned my DRESSER and NIGHT STAND UPSIDE DOWN in a storage!! ! So when I called IMPERIAL MOVERS no one picks up.....Just voice mail!
Please do not use IMPERIAL MOVERS they are very deceitful, but the will lose more than they took from me IMNJ.
