I just finished the part-time CELTA at International House London (January – April 2026), and it was an incredible experience. If you’re looking for a center that combines high standards with genuine care for its trainees, this is it.

The course structure is intense but very well-managed, making it manageable even for those of us balancing other commitments. However, what truly sets this program apart is the quality of the instruction.

Jonathan’s wealth of knowledge is evident from day one. His feedback on teaching practice is incredibly precise—he has a way of highlighting exactly what needs to change while still making you feel capable and supported. His professionalism and deep understanding of the CELTA criteria were invaluable during the more challenging weeks of the course.

Jessica brings a wonderful energy and clarity to the input sessions. She is an outstanding mentor who is always approachable and ready to offer practical advice on lesson planning or classroom management. Her support was a massive confidence booster, especially when tackling the more complex written assignments.

The facilities at IH London are top-notch, and the collaborative atmosphere among the trainees was fantastic. Jonathan and Jessica foster an environment that is both academically rigorous and professionally nurturing. I feel fully prepared to step into an ELT classroom, and I can't recommend this specific team and course highly enough!

It was a very helpful and practical course. I think what makes it different from other courses ade 8 TP classes. It was a really good chance to apply what we’ve learned through the course. Tutors wre also professional and very supportive.

Genuinely excellent level 1 Italian course! My teacher (Rocco) has provided us with excellent learning, both in the lessons and supporting us outside of the lessons with our homework. In particular, our lessons have been really fun and engaging, creating a really safe learning environment.

It probably says everything you need to know that I had no hesitation in signing up for level 2!

Celia was our teacher and she is truly an amazing person. She is a very good teacher who uses effective learning techniques, which really help the vocabulary stay in your memory. I attended different courses for 3 years, but I have never come across a teacher as effective as her. She is definitely the best teacher for me.

I really enjoyed my time at IH London, it was truly an amazing experience. What made it so special was the constant attention and dedication from both our teachers and the staff, as well as the high-quality service they provided throughout the program. The support and communication with us as students were excellent, and it was clear that every detail mattered to them. They made a genuine effort to ensure we felt heard, comfortable, and safe at all times, which created such a positive and welcoming environment. Being part of this program has been a real pleasure, and I feel very grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow in such a supportive place.

This was my first experience with IH London and it was great. I enjoyed my classes thoroughly, the teacher was amazing. The teachers put in time, effort and energy in teaching us the language. I did beginner level japanese level. Loved it :) Will sign up for next level too~
One recommendation, it will be great if there could be a formal test at the end or after completion of each level, to test and to realise if the student has retained the information. Thanks

I really like the course because the tutor is very well qualified for teaching this CPE course, she is patient and friendly too.

The library is very convenient to use, but the toilet paper trash bins are dirty and often don't work well.

The OET teacher (Sally) has helped me a lot for my preparation with precise guidance and important points.

Enrolled in a beginners course on Japanese language and my experience has exceeded my expectations.

I had a really great experience while doing the Cambridge English C2 Proficiency course. The teacher was absolutely brilliant and incredibly flexible. I genuinely felt encouraged throughout the whole course, which made a big difference in my confidence.

Her class management was excellent, and everything was well organised. I especially loved the way she structured each class; connecting boring things like grammar to current affairs and art to make it entertaining for students. It made learning feel natural and engaging rather than overwhelming.

Overall, it was a very positive experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to get the Cambridge C2 Proficiency qualification.

IH kindly responded to my concerns with my previous language course and very generously have put me on another course. This highlights for me that they are a very professionally minded company that care about the students who join their courses. Thank you.

I took the Online Cambridge C1 Advanced Course at International House London and my experience was excellent. The teachers are brilliant, attentive and supportive. I highly recommend this course to anyone who is interested in taking a Cambridge exam!
