3 years have passed since I gave an egregious online review about a company but I want to warn other transportation affiliates and retail customers before you book with Sultan who is the owner and operator of Ice Paradise Tours. Our company has had two very bad experiences in the same week; on the days of March 11th and 12th 2026. On the first date Sultan accepted an airport transfer from our company, we followed up 24 hours after to confirm vehicle and driver information and he sent us a Whatsapp message saying i made a mistake i’m fully booked with no additional leaving us in an awkward situation because our client does not have airport transportation anymore. Not even two days later we had a 3.5 hour tour booked since February 15th with a confirmed price that was scheduled for Sunday March 25, 2026 not only did he change the price he then sent a message booked. Will not answer the phones and no explanations. So BUYER BEWARE This is a horrible company who has no ethics who may you leave you stranded and refuses to answer or take calls. You have been warned.

I’m just back from a fabulous and very busy 3 days in Iceland! I used Iceland Paradise Tours for all trips from return airport trips to Aurora hunt to South Island tour!!

Sultan helped me build the perfect itinerary from start to finish. Every detail was catered to and the communication from Sultan and his team was flawless. I knew every minute what was happening via text or call.

We were very fortunate to see the Aurora on our first night with Sultan. He is very knowledgeable all things Iceland and Aurora!! His beautiful wife made us Lava hot chocolate which was delicious!! The pictures Sultan took were outstanding, we were so overwhelmed with the beauty of Iceland and the Northern Lights!!

Kjartan was our guide for the Southern Island tour and he entertained us the whole 8/9 hours of tour it was fantastic. His indepth knowledge of his land and its history was fascinating. He had us laughing all day and took us to some beautiful places. Stunning scenery.

Now some will say 3 days isn’t enough but if it’s all you have, you work with it. Sultan knew we only had a few days and maximised this to full. We seen many waterfalls, geothermal springs, Game of Thrones areas, Sky Lagoon, Perlan Museum, Flyover Iceland, Black Beach, glaciers, volcanos plus we ate in a few gorgeous restaurants!!!

Beware booking with Iceland Paradise tours aka Sultan the guide for your tours as this company doesn’t deliver what is promised or paid for. If you like being scared out of your wits this guy drives like a lunatic constantly on his mobile phone whilst driving, speeding, tailgating and dangerous overtaking in icy conditions this is the guy for you. We tried addressing the issue politely but was ignored and the guide sulked for the next day not talking to us or getting out of the car as he had not ever had anyone complain before. We paid for private guided tours and private airport transfers and he decided that it was ok to have a relative who was on holiday join us without asking our permission and offered no refunds. The narrative he supplied between phonecalls was useless as there was no voice amplification so none of the group of five could hear what he was saying above the noise of the engine. All the tours he supplied weren’t the duration advertised racing from point to point with no meaningful stops as rushed from place to place. He refused to supply an invoice even though asked for time and time again so we have no financial recourse of recouping any monies owed so seems like he knew exactly what he was doing to stop any legal action against him and his response was we were trying to scam him. We have reported him to the Icelandic authorities and are awaiting a response so just be warned don’t want anyone to be ripped off by this guy, it’s too late for us but if you book through him you will regret it, he completely ruined a 50th Wedding Anniversary present and 50th Birthday celebration

I had an incredible experience on this Northern Lights tour in Iceland. Not only did I witness the stunning aurora, but I also captured amazing photos with their camera. To top it off, they treated us to delicious homemade hot chocolate and cookies, making the adventure even more memorable. Highly recommended for a magical Northern Lights experience!

We had a wonderful 3 days full of memories here in Iceland. There’s no words to compare the stunning sceneries we’ve seen but we would never have this amazing and more private experience if we didn’t have @Sultan as our guide. He’s simply the best! His priority is us (his clients) and he’s very thoughtful and always thinks ways so we can have the best time ever.. and we did!
He brought us to places to hunt the Northen Lights when others are saying it will most likely be cancelled due to the heavy rain. He provided us with the the best hot chocolate and home made cookies made by his wife while we were waiting dor the sky to clear up and eventually, we were able to see it! Though it was hiding beneath the clouds and would’ve been a lot better if it was a clear night sky, we were still glad to be able to faintly see it and made us tick it from our bucket list and he even took nice photographs of us using his professional Camera.
We also did the Golden Circle and the South Coast Tour and everything was just so convenient! He picks us up and drops us off from and to our accomodation every day.
He knows when’s the best time to go to places when there’s not much people or tour buses around so we can have better photos.
He even made an extra effort and took us to a place that is not part of the usual South Coast Tour and boy, the view there was breathtaking!!
He even gave us Icelandic snacks and drinks to try… and I mean, which tour does that??
I can’t recommend Sultan enough.
If you’re looking for a more private and wonderful experience in Iceland, book him NOW!

I managed to catch the Northern Lights on my last night in Iceland and I couldn’t be more thankful to Sultan. With other tours mostly being cancelled the previous few days due to bad weather, I was almost on the verge of giving up. I then decided to book a smaller group tour and it couldn’t have gone any better. The entire experience with Sultan was very personal with him ensuring every guest getting the very best out of the tour. He knew the right place for spotting them, with the drive to the location, full of insightful conversations around the phenomenon itself. Thank you for making my trip a memorable one!

I was fortunate to have embarked on an Iceland South Coast tour with my friends, led by Sultan, who demonstrated exceptional patience and flexibility in curating our itinerary. Our adventure led us to awe-inspiring waterfalls, the striking black sand beach, and the captivating Game of Thrones beach to conclude our day. What set Sultan apart was his ability to skillfully capture unforgettable moments, including stunning aerial shots from his drone. Additionally, his deep knowledge of the area became evident as he guided us to the waterfall famously featured in the Vikings series during Floki's scene. Sultan's professionalism was superb, leaving all of us thoroughly impressed and immensely grateful for this remarkable experience.

I went to a guided tour with my friends last week.
Our pickup was exactly the same as it was mentioned by our guide.
The trip was one of the best trips I had here in Iceland. We had so many tourist attractions to visit. The guide was very humble and friendly. One of the locations was a surprise visit for us, the black sand beach. We also had the photoshoot with professional camera and via drone. I would definitely recommend.

Booked a private tour with Sultan the Guide, and it turned out to be amazing and one of the best trips of my life. He was on time for the pickup and went to multiple locations throughout our trip. Amazing person with amazing knowledge of places. Offered us special breaks at beautiful locations for photography and videography. I'd definitely recommend him for tours in Iceland and will definitely go with him again on my next trip as well.

For our 5th year wedding anniversary, we decided to book a 2-day private tour with Iceland Paradise Tours, and for two people who value excellent, personalized service and really hate crowds, it really made a big difference.

Our guide, Sultan, who is also the owner of this company, was very professional, flexible, hardworking, and knowledgeable about Iceland. It was easy to coordinate and plan with him beforehand, and he gave a very fair price for a customized, private trip to the Southern Coast, with flexibility to also visit the Golden Circle as we wish. The vehicle he used for the trip, a Range Rover, was spacious enough for our needs and he had Wi-Fi in the car. It was also well-equipped to handle the changing climate of Iceland, including a sudden snow storm in spring!

The service was quite exceptional. We gave him a rough idea of how we wanted our trip to go, and he accommodated all our requests and changes graciously.

He was upfront and gave very practical advice about the sites we wanted to see—for example, whether it makes sense to go to a place or not, given the conditions. He also instinctively understood what we needed and adjusted accordingly—whether it was to talk, give us privacy, let us sleep, avoid a lot of tourists, take great photos, prioritize certain activities, etc. My husband normally cannot sleep in cars but he managed to do so in this trip—which is a testament to Sultan’s smooth driving.

One can really see how much he genuinely loves Iceland, his home for the last 6 years. I had done a lot of research on the different tour packages in Iceland, but was pleasantly surprised to receive suggestions on places that were normally not included in the tours. He showed us places that he truly loved and felt that we would enjoy. We also had very interesting conversations and we gained insights about the country and people.

It was a real pleasure discovering this country with Iceland Paradise Tours, and we highly recommend this company and Sultan, to anyone who wants a customized/private tour with excellent service.

We chanced upon Sultan's services while at the Perlan Museum. The rest is history, from picking us up front our hotel to knowledge of the auroras and most importantly, not accepting our request to head out a day earlier so we wouldn't be disappointed.

We trusted his judgment and went out the day after, at a time he said would be meaningful and after 7 years since trying to see the Aurora in Finland, we saw it in Iceland thanks to the great work Sultan does. Would highly recommend!

I recently traveled with Iceland Paradise tour to see the Northern lights. The experience was amazing! The tour guide made all efforts to make the group comfortable and chase Northern lights. We did see the northern lights. I must say this is the best tour and recommend you all! Best guided tours in Iceland.

Sultan is the best! Smart and resourceful he puts in a ton of work before you start the tour to make sure you have the best chance to see the Northern Lights. His research and effort paid off as he found them for us and others who took other tours that night did not get to see the magical Northern Lights.

An amazing trip! The weather was not in our side at first and we were able to reschedule. Our guide Sultan was wonderful! He was kind and fun and knowledgeable! He was determined to give us a trip to remember. He said he was going to show us the lights and he made sure of it! So thankful for the memories and experience!

We have just returned home from a wonderful trip to Iceland and our tour guide Sultan was a big part of the reason our trip was so memorable. Our hotel recommended Sultan for a last minute South Coast tour. Sultan picked us up promptly and went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful experience! He took us to more sights than other tours and made sure that we saw everything we wanted. Sultan even made recommendations for our dinner after the tour. The restaurant was just what we were looking for! He is friendly, experienced and very knowledgeable about all the sights and of Iceland itself. He takes great pride in making the tour perfect for each group.
We enjoyed this tour so much that we hired him again for our last day to tour the west coast of Iceland and then to drop us off at the airport. I hadn’t read much about the western part of the country, but it was simply gorgeous and once again Sultan made the day perfect. In addition to all the beautiful
spots, Sultan was able find where my dad served in the navy and we saw where his barracks and avaition hangar were from back in the 1960’s! This really made our day. Sultan had us back at the airport at the perfect time. We can not say enough about Sultan’s professionalism, knowledge and friendliness. We highly recommend him for any tour in Iceland that you are thinking of taking.

We had an amazing tour with our guide Sultan! We took a personalized tour on the South Coast to see the DC3 plane wreck and he was very thoughtful to point out sights of interest along the way! He also took time to tell us about fun aspects of Icelandic culture which was very interesting!

Not many tour companies go to the plane wreck and we were so grateful to Sultan for going the extra mile to make our trip comfortable and enjoyable!

It is a pity that we found it about him only towards the end of our time in South Iceland, or we would definitely have done more tours like the Northern Lights with him!

We’ll definitely 10/10 recommend Sultan and Iceland Paradise and would love to do more tours with him in our future visits to Iceland!

Our driver Sultan was just fantastic. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience and got to see the northern lights. He kept the mood up when we all started to lose hope and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. He took some lovely photos for us to take home too.
