I used these for over a year and i never had any real issues. Had the odd crash but that cant be helped. When i did have an issue it was small things and they fixed it within hours usually.

I had a modded rust server and theyre known for bad performance if done wrong. But the worst performance issues i had was my own fault as i ran out of ram and needed more. Very little lag and stuttering. Very few crashes.

I used shockbyte first and had nothing but trouble. Over 1yr i lost atleast a month to downtime. On here i lost maybe 2 days over 18m

I can not reccomend them enough.

I will try to be as fair and transparent as possible here. Having used IcedHost for 3 or so years, they have been rock steady. The support is good (I'd go as far to say 9/10), and generally no issues with up time. Casey especially is very helpful and I hope they recognise this.

However, some huge downsides I'm starting to see. Mainly, the age of their hardware, and the cost of their offering. They are simply not as competitive as they were 3 years ago.

For dedicated servers, the cheapest you can get is a Ryzen 3600 (launched in July 2019). Similar hosts are offering Ryzen 7600x (launched September 2022) for similar prices or better. As a server owner, and comparing performance on comparitive machines elsewhere, its night and day, server fps can be 8 times higher.

Other places have the exact same cosmic guard DDOS, so its not enough to justify the price. Same goes for service, I'd argue others are better and have far better communication via discord.

I really hope IcedHost actually do some competitive anylysis and upgrade their lower end stock ASAP, as their hardware is old and end of life at this stage. It's getting harder to continue to use IcedHost due to this, and some upgrades are needed in 2025. The 3600 really needs replaced with 7600 (Zen 4 or above). If you had something like a 7600 for the price of the current 3600, then I personally would be looking to buy at least 1 or 2.

I was renting a rust server and typo'd my account email info. It was a mess. Casey went above and beyond to help me out and get everything straightened out. He fixed one thing after another until he was satisfied I was up and running like I was supposed to.

The hosting is great and reliable, and the support has always been spot on for me - having used them for 2-3 years now.

However, I can't give them more than a few stars due to the limited amount of games supported compared to competitors. If you are looking for only those games and those games only, then great, but it would be ideal if they would start supporting a wider range of games.

As a new server owner, I had no idea how to do the configuration of a Rust server, or install plugins. Iced Host's interface is easy enough to use for practically anybody. You want a plugin? Install it, slap it into the mods / oxide folder and configure as needed. 99% of the time, little to no difficult config is required.
You can choose to have your server automatically update with the game. Making wipe day a breeze, and is super easy to get a custom map loaded.
Restarting and monitoring the server is extremely easy, as well as setting it up it up and configuring the server settings such as the server name, tags, description, and adding an optional Web URL.
My only concerns are small and not too annoying, if you are looking to have a steady player count, and have several mods, memory is tricky and you will likely need more than the standard 8 gigs. I have an average of 1-5 players on at a time, with 10 smallish plugins installed, and the memory is almost always bordering the limit.
The server will very occasionally shut down, but loads back up very fast, takes around 6 minutes max.
My first day I sent in about 2 tickets, and both were responded to within an hour.
Found Iced Host from a content creator on YouTube I watch, and haven't looked back since. My server costs $19.99 per month and the price is super reasonable for what I am getting, and runs smooth constantly.
I would very highly recommend Iced Host.

was a rough start as it took over 24hrs to setup was almost 48hrs before my service was active. the performance of the dedicated box seem great though from my first day of testing, my new box with icedhost I get 70-80 less ping then with my old host gtx (both servers are located in Dallas). the remote desktop feels more responsive then my old server. only surprise I got was seeing that gameserverkings is now either partnered, owned by them or icedhost rents boxes from gameserverkings as all staff on icedhosts discord except one have gameserverkings and there working position in there bio and speedtest.net shows my ip being owned by gameserverkings.

ping on GTX = 270-295

I rented my server quite recently, at the beginning of the lease I asked the hoster what tariff my server needed

And so, the beginning of the wipe, as it turned out, the processor is not enough for my server, I'm talking about the limit of 150/100%

We agreed that my server needs an "Extreme" tariff plan - well, I did it.

Then suddenly the hosting interrupted the connection with my server, it was unavailable and the players could not log on to the server.

There was an urgent maintenance of the line, without warning.

Then I was surprised that my server has fps when online 50-60 people 24-34

When there were 140 players on my server, my server fps was 5-9

My server is lagging and currently with 70 players online, I have lost many players with the transition to this hosting.

What does the host offer? - - Move my server to another IP address and server machine and create even more inconvenience to my players

They offered to consider the option with VDS - the next day I wrote that I wanted to rent it, to which my hosting replied that it was not available, you need to be added to the waiting list.

In a word - "I'm in shock", if you want problems, go to this hosting.

Im not the Smartest when it comes to the game panel or how running a server works but IcedHost, Is amazingly easy to use for beginners. The customer support is also Great, Love the fast response times.

Amazing and Quick Support. It doesn't matter what time is is of the day. It can be 5am and they still answer within 5 minutes. Im really suprised with how quick they are.

Alexander provided responsive, and quality customer service. He moved all the files and settings over to a new server for me in minutes.
