If you value peace of mind on your travels, stay FAR AWAY from IATI Insurance. I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through what we did. Save yourself the stress and choose a company that will actually have your back when things go wrong.

We encountered an unexpected situation during our vacation—a connecting flight delay (Amsterdam-Mexico City) that forced us to depart the next day. According to the IATI policy we purchased, we were supposed to receive "compensation of up to €180 plus coverage for all expenses (hotel, food, and beverages)." Sounds reassuring, right? Well, you get nothing from them in the end.

We contacted IATI, provided all the required documentation as requested, and then... silence. It’s been over a month now, and we've heard absolutely NOTHING. They’ve stopped responding to our emails entirely. No updates, no compensation, no reimbursement—just blatant disregard for their obligations.

We’ve used IATI 5-6 times before across Europe, Asia, and America, but clearly, this company only works if you don't actually need to file a claim. It’s devastating to realize that after years of being a loyal customer since 2016, they would treat us with such disrespect and indifference.

Don’t make the mistake of trusting IATI with your travel insurance. They are neither professional nor reliable.

I booked travel insurance through Iati after reading the blog on chavatas.es website. It was really helpful and made my mind up when deciding which travel/medical insurance to book for our visit to New York from Spain. Of course, when you take these insurances out you never really expect to have to use them, you take them more for 'peace of mind' as we all know that medical costs outside of europe can be astronomical, Unfortunately in our case after arriving in New York we had a medical problem and had to call Iati, but after following the tips and advice given to us on contracting the insurance it was all so easy and stress-free. We could not have asked for a better service and they were so concerned that we were ok. We did not have to pay any money up front, Iati took care of it all after we had phoned them right from the start when they advised us what to do and which medical centre to go to. We would like to express our sincere thanks to this fantastic insurance company for looking after us and making sure it was as stress free as possible. I would recommend them 100% and they will be the company I would contract on any future holidays. Thank you Iati!
