Just got back from the 4-week trip with I2I Soccer Academy in the UK and honestly, it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Got to spend time in both Leeds and Newcastle, and both cities were amazing in their own way. Leeds had such a cool vibe and Newcastle was super fun too — both had great training facilities and places to explore in our free time.

The recruitment staff were super helpful the whole time. They really care about you and your future, and it’s clear they know what they’re doing. They were always around to talk, answer questions, and guide us through everything.

The coaches were top-tier too. They pushed us to be better every session, but also made it fun and motivating. You could tell they wanted us to improve, and they gave us really good feedback. It wasn’t just about football either — they were great people off the pitch too.

Met a lot of awesome players from different places, made some new friends, and just had a great time overall. If you’re thinking about going with I2I, I definitely recommend it. It’s a great mix of football, development, and a lot of fun.

Great coaching and we visited so many places would highly recommend.

I attended i2i’s summer program and it was such a great experience. I met tons of people from around the U.S. and also from other countries. The training was intense while also still being fun. I would definitely recommend attending the summer program if you want to get to know about the UK and also train with some of the best coaches I’ve ever trained with.

I2i is a very high level academy and it consists of many good coaches. As a young inspiring player I felt like the coaches helped me understand and do things most other coaches couldn’t. The environment is amazing and as far as the colleges they also seem great. HIGHLY recommend!

Our son is about to graduate with his undergraduate degree. We sent him across the pond at the age of 17 and fresh out of high school. It was a scary experience in the beginning for us all especially him.

However, thankfully to the awesome football coaches especially coach Ingham and Holloway they shaped our son and watched over him like their own. We are grateful for them for all they have done for our son. Every time we came to visit they made us feel welcomed and gave us the inside updates on our son’s journey.

Thanks to them our son is graduating and moving up to a professional team. It has always been a dream of our son to play professional football in the UK. They helped him reach that dream along with our son’s enthusiasm and passion to play.

We are very proud of him and proud to say he is a graduate of York St. John University and proud member of i2i International soccer academy.

Our son has attended the i2i summer program for three years in a row. Clearly it’s excellent or we wouldn’t have sent him back for the second and third summers! As the head of a k-12 school and former camp administrator, I know how hard it is to run a good program, and I also have high expectations. Here’s why we love i2i:

The coaches have played and coached at the professional level so the training is EXCEPTIONAL. Every summer our son comes back stronger, faster, and with even greater mental agility required for competitive play. The coaches see their role as not just coach but as a general mentor. As a result our son has developed greater independence, personal responsibility, time management, leadership skills and a deeper sense of gratitude. The growth each year is amazing.

The i2i staff are organized and highly communicative (daily schedules, links to stream games, and professional quality photos, plus they respond quickly to individual questions or needs). In addition to the training, the staff organizes a range of evening and weekend outings, including Edinburgh, London, Alton Towers and the beach, etc.

On a very nuts and bolts level, the accommodations and food are good, and the swag - full uniform, training sets, and tons of other goodies - are really good quality.

All in all, if you’re looking for great training and a good, fun, safe experience outside the U.S., we give i2i our highest recommendation.

I2I is the best experience around. combining top notch coaching with an admirable education is more than I could ever ask for or imagine. Having the ability to get a degree in three years is while training almost everyday and learning from coaches who have played and coach at the top level is a dream come true. They make sure you are taken care of and have support whenever you need it. It will definitely be an experience that I will hold with me for the rest of my life. Thank you to all of I2I for all of the hard work they do to make this happen.

I2o is an amazing program with skilled and caring coaches. I have to say the staff and coaches are amazing in making sure the lads were taken care of. My father, who my son was very close to, passed away while he was at University in the UK. I reached out to the coaches before telling my son, so they could be a support, and they were! They often checked in on him and his mental wellbeing during that difficult time.
If the lads are not performing athletically or academically, the staff are there to mentor them back to the right path. I felt confident sending my son to the UK knowing i2i was going to watch over him. I experienced the amazing relationships my son built with the coaches at i2i. I was actually very sad when he decided to come home for his post grad program, as I'd hope he would continue on another few years with this organization. Not only was the training incredible, and I saw my son's skills improve tremendously, but it was a great experience for him to live in another country. I highly recommend this program and the Universities they are attached to.

From day one, everyone from i2i has been professional but at the same time so welcoming. Our son, Alessio, just finished his first year in Newcastle and the development he experienced there with his coaches has been phenomenal. It is truly an apprenticeship of how to become a proper soccer player.

My son will be joining the i2i soccer academy at Northumbria University this coming Fall, 2025. As a parent I already feel he is a part of the i2i family and will be well taken care of by the staff and coaches. We have been seeking this opportunity since the early part of my son’s junior year. Each encounter we have had with the coaches, recruiters, and staff have been friendly and accommodating to our questions and needs. Both in person and virtually. They are an attentive and knowledgeable group of people who genuinely care about their players. I highly recommend this program and opportunity to any player that has a love for the game.

Fairly knowledgable of the American NCAA system. While one could argue leveling, I would argue knowledge, experience and gametime opportunities with i2i are unmatched. Many of my former players in NCAA schools get 15 -18 games per year and are lucky to play half of those minutes, especially in their first year or 2. At i2i, there were up to 45 games over different leagues that allowed for my son's development. As for the coaching their knowledge on the field is immense. Some of them know what it is like to step on a professional pitch as a player, or have been around those academies for years. These are experiences that can help guide the players. Off the field, the coaches and owners care about your player, too many examples to explain. In the end, very happy with the decision my son made to go to i2i for his 3 years.

I was there for 6 years and miss it terribly. The coaches are extremely knowledgable and an absolute blast to work with. The experience was life changing and I’m very glad to have completed it with the coaches and directors’ help! Would recommend it to anyone who is looking to compete at a high level and grow more as an individual through completing their studies.

My son participated in the i2i summer program in 2024 and 2025, and I had the opportunity to attend parts of the program at both the Leeds and Newcastle locations during these past two years. I witnessed firsthand the exceptional quality of the i2i program from its dedicated coaching staff and recruiting team to its professional administration. I engaged in multiple conversations with i2i staff who were consistently accommodating and eager to share insights about the program. Both universities are highly respected offering students the opportunity to complete an undergraduate degree in three years or a master’s degree in four. Throughout the experience it was clear that i2i fosters genuine relationships with its players.

My son has verbally committed to the program at Northumbria University after attending the i2i summer program. I am certain he will be well supported and cared for by the i2i team throughout his journey.

I’ve been playing for i2i for 2 years and it’s great. The staff are really caring and they care for all of the players. They don’t just care about you as a player but as a person as well and they want to build up you as a person.

The opportunities that are offered and the quality of the facilities and the coaching staff are at the highest level ,I highly recommend it.

It was such a great camp I had such a good time with my friends! I learned so much and now am maybe going to fully commit to one of the colleges! the coaches and atmosphere is amazing and I truly made friendships for life here! Would definitely recommend to others.

This was hands down one of the best summers of my life thanks to i2i! The quality of their work is unmatched, especially in regards to the coaching and commitment to the players. Would 100% recommend this program to any aspiring football players.

Amazing experience on and off the pitch!

I’d highly recommend i2i Soccer Academy to any student-athlete, or parent of one, to experience what they have to offer. My son has attended 2 of their Summer programs and has visited with coaching staff and current student-athletes during the actual school term and league playing season. They run a first class operation and the coaching staff is amazing. Both universities are highly regarded and offer a wide array of degrees. An additional benefit is your son/daughter can achieve a bachelor’s degree in just 3 years and a masters in 4. My son has had an amazing experience so far and can’t wait to attend the academy full time!
